Too many irrelevant posts come up when I attempt to search for something. There should be an easy button or something to earmark posts as something irrelevant- something that shouldn't come up in a search. I'm looking for something in Xcode 15 and frequently the top posts in the search are 10 years old and don't have any relevance whatsoever to the solution to my problem.

Very strange behavoir of Safari.app, Notes.app on MacBook Pro
Is there a way to check whether third-party code can be inserted into parts of the ARM CPU architecture from outside? I have the paranoid impression that my MacBook Pro, M2 processor is being manipulated from outside. For example: Safari, when opened, displays pages scaled down without my conscious intervention, when clicked on the original size it scales back to normal for a short time and then implodes again; I use the navigation bar on the left excessively, it is my most important tool in Safari, today it was impossible to insert a link using drag & drop, the bar scrolls up or down very quickly; a behavior that I only know from Intel processors. For example, notes, I encrypted an important note, no problem even though photos and links are inserted, yesterday I could no longer open the note, neither on the MacBook Pro nor on the iPhone. When opening the notes app in the terminal on the MacBook Pro, an EXEC_CRASH report was generated. I have a terrible suspicion that the Apple branch in Munich is tampering with the devices and software of users in Germany. Sorry, I'm a big fan of Apple and its products, but this is very spooky. I just wanted to share my distrust with you!

Keys are missing in App Store Server API
For the subscription API, we’re using the Get All Subscription Statuses API to replace the deprecated verifyReceipt method. To determine if a user has canceled their subscription, we’re using the expirationIntent key from JWSRenewalInfo data. However, we’ve noticed that we sometimes receive this key and other times not. We’re also facing an issue with the offertype key. We use this key to determine if a user is currently in the introductory offer, the promotion offer, or neither. To obtain this key, we’re using JWSTransaction, but we occasionally receive it and other times not. Note: These issues are being tested in the sandbox environment. Thank you.

Please support device mirroring with cable and without iCloud login
Hi all, if anyone from apple Dev team is seeing this, please do consider supporting device mirroring without the need to login to icloud and with cable connection in addition to wi-fi. I am working in a corporate setting which does not allow us to login to icloud, thus I am unable to use device mirroring when my work really needs is, I am stuck with Quick time preview. I am quite sure, that this does not only apply to me.

Bizi kaybetmeyin. Size güvenimizin boş olmadığını bizlere gösterin. Saygılarımla

I can't disableScreen Sharing session initiated by somebody else
Another developer tried to start a screen-sharing session with me on my M1 MacBook Air this morning (Sequoia 15.3). He reported however that another session was already under way on my machine. I looked in System Settings and found that the "Screen Sharing" setting was grayed out, with the notation that "This service is currently being controlled by the Remote Management service". Access to the service is disabled however, and I have no way of turning it off. It's possible that the person who tried to help me got this session started, and that it then got aborted in some irregular way, but he see no indication of that and says there is no connection between us as seen from his end. This makes me nervous security-wise. Is there some way I can turn this off and ensure that I am not being screen-shared against my will, as it were? TIA, Howard

Troubleshooting Video Loading Issues on iOS: Slow Performance Over Mobile Data but Fast on Wi-Fi
Hello, We are developing a social media application that allows users to share and view content in the form of images and videos. The app is built with Angular and Ionic, and we use Capacitor to integrate native functionalities. Currently, we are experiencing an issue with content loading on iOS devices. Specifically, when the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi, videos load quickly and play smoothly. However, when using mobile data, videos take a long time to load or, in some cases, do not load at all. We are trying to identify the cause of the issue and determine whether it could be related to Xcode configuration or any system restrictions. Some potential reasons we have considered include: iOS Mobile Data Usage Restrictions iOS may limit mobile data usage for large downloads or streaming content if the app does not have the proper permissions. In Settings > Mobile Data, users can restrict data usage for specific apps. App Transport Security (ATS) Configuration Xcode and iOS enforce strict security policies for network connections through App Transport Security (ATS). If the API serving the videos uses HTTP instead of HTTPS or has restrictive headers, this could affect loading over mobile networks. Xcode Network Usage Settings Xcode allows configurations related to network access. There might be a setting limiting access to mobile networks when the device is not on Wi-Fi. Video Quality and Adaptability Differences If videos are not optimized for mobile networks (e.g., high-quality formats without adaptive versions), loading times could be significantly longer. Implementing HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) could improve playback on slower networks. Request Timeout Issues If video loading requests have a short timeout, slower mobile network connections might exceed this limit, causing the request to fail. Compression and Caching It is essential to check if videos are properly compressed and if caching is implemented to improve performance on mobile networks. Given this situation, we would like to know what Xcode settings might be affecting video loading performance on mobile data and how we can adjust them to enhance the user experience.

Problem with deleting the MinimaList app
A question from an ordinary user for developers: The essence of the problem: I installed the To Do List by MinimaList app on both my MacBook and iPhone. After installing it, I decided not to use it and deleted the application. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/minimalist-to-do-list-widget/id993066159 However, it turned out that not everything was removed. Specifically: • In the “Allow Others to Find Me” section on both my MacBook and iPhone, these apps still appear. No matter what I do—whether I delete or clear them—they continue to be displayed there. • This app continues to appear in the section located at: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Stored in iCloud → See All → Allow Finding Me – To Do List and one more item. • It cannot be deleted. • It won’t delete on my MacBook, and it won’t delete on my iPhone. • It also appeared in iCloud itself under the Email Search section. P.S. The official Apple support (without violating any internal regulations) advised me to post on the forum to get in touch with Apple developers. In hope, I am posting this question here.

iCloud/Apple Account Deleted but still not allowed to use the address with another account.
I am trying to add a custom domain to my iCloud+ Mail however when I try to add its main user/email address I get an error saying that the email is already in use with another apple account. After this I checked the duplicate account and since I had forgotten the password I reset it and logged in. Then I followed the instructs on https://support.apple.com/en-in/102283 to permanently delete my account. This request was initiated on 8 Feb 2025 but I received the final email that all my data had successfully been deleted from Apple's servers on 25 Feb 2025. Despite Apple's confirmation that my account had been deleted successfully, I am still unable to use that email address to create an iCloud+ Mail account, even after waiting a whole month! This is very frustrating. I contacted Apple support via chat and phone and after more than 30 mins of back and forth they instructed me to contact Developer Support which I did two days ago (case ID is 102546369564) still no response. I hope posting here will be more fruitful. Thanks in advance. Dear Dan Newby, Your Apple Account dan@ ----- .world has been deleted. This information has been permanently erased from our systems or has been modified so it no longer identifies you. As a reminder, you made this request on February 8, 2025 at 7:09:59 PM GMT+5. If you still have the 12-digit access code we provided as part of your request, you can now discard it since the account no longer exists. We’re glad that we’ve been able to help and hope to see you again in the future. Apple Support

macOS 15.4 Beta (24E5222f) Killed My External Displays – Send Help (or an Exorcist)
For 9 Glorious Months, My MacBook Pro & J5 Create JCD543 HUB Were Best Friends… Until I Updated macOS For nearly a year, my MacBook Pro 14” (2023, M2 Pro, 16GB RAM) worked flawlessly with my J5 Create JCD543 HUB, allowing me to run: ✅ 4 External Displays (Samsung, LG, Insignia, Samsung) A setup that worked perfectly… until I updated macOS. Then Came the Update… and the Issues Began First, I updated last week. Two of my four displays stopped working. No big deal, I thought—I’ve dealt with display quirks before. Then, like an optimist ignoring red flags, I updated again last night to 15.4 Beta (24E5222f) and… well, now things are completely broken. My Once-Perfect Setup (Now a Display Disaster) JCD543 HUB → 2 HDMI displays (not working) JUD380 HUB → 1 HDMI display (partially working, unstable) MacBook HDMI port → 1 HDMI display (working, but feeling abandoned) JCA365 USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter (Not part of my setup, but tested—also not working) What I’ve Tried (aka My Troubleshooting Journey) ✔ Restarted my Mac multiple times ✔ Uninstalled and reinstalled J5 drivers ✔ Swapped cables, unplugged/replugged everything, tested known-working HDMI cables (they work fine on other devices) ✔ Deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist (this fixed a similar issue in the past, but the file no longer exists in this update) The Likely Culprit? It seems to be a J5 driver issue triggered by the macOS update—and I’m not alone. Others are reporting similar problems. Apple… Any Fixes? I just want my four screens back. The setup worked flawlessly for 9 months, so it’s hard to believe it was never meant to work. If anyone has a workaround, I’m open to testing any solution—whether it’s a driver update, system tweak, or hidden macOS setting that might bring my displays back to life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. (P.S. Apple, if you’re reading this—please look into this issue!)

Console SSH remote authentication not working since some time
I am trying to connect to my openbsd server. The command works over local network (I am identified by public key) but fails over remote network. I get the following error : $ ssh -vvv sylvain @ saboua.xyz OpenSSH_9.8p1, LibreSSL 3.3.6 ... debug1: Authenticator provider $SSH_SK_PROVIDER did not resolve; disabling debug3: channel_clear_timeouts: clearing debug1: Connecting to saboua.xyz port 22. ssh: connect to host saboua.xyz port 22: Operation timed out A solution I gues would be to use brew's LibreSSL 4.0, but I cant find how to use it instead of the system LibreSSL.

A wired keyboard connected via a hub cannot wake up the iPad on iOS version after 18.0
Problem Description: On the iPad 10th tablet, when a USB 2.0 interface extended by a Type - C interface through a USB 2.0 hub is used to connect a keyboard, there is an issue that the keyboard cannot wake up the system when the system version is 18.0 (inclusive) or higher. However, this problem does not occur on systems earlier than 18.0. Note: To ensure low power consumption of the product, if there is no key press on the keyboard for 10 minutes, the power supply of some functions of the hub will be cut off, but the power supply of the keyboard will remain on. When a key is pressed, the power supply of all functions of the hub will be reconnected.

USB Audio Input Blocked When Screen Mirroring via AirPlay
Hello Apple Developers, I am experiencing an issue where USB audio input (e.g., external USB microphone) is blocked when using AirPlay screen mirroring from my iPhone to a Mac or Apple TV. However, the built-in microphone continues to work without any problem. Issue Details: I am using an iPhone 15 (or latest device) running iOS [your iOS version]. I connect a USB audio interface/microphone via a USB-C adapter or Lightning adapter. The USB microphone works perfectly for audio input before starting AirPlay. The moment I enable AirPlay screen mirroring, the USB microphone stops working, and it disappears from available audio input sources. The built-in microphone continues to function, but I cannot use the USB microphone while mirroring. When I stop screen mirroring, the USB microphone immediately becomes available again. Expected Behavior: I would expect iOS to allow me to continue using an external USB microphone while mirroring my screen, just like it allows the built-in microphone to work. Questions: Is this an intentional restriction in iOS? Is there any workaround to enable USB audio input while using AirPlay screen mirroring? Is there a way to request a feature or configuration option to allow external USB microphones during AirPlay? I appreciate any insights or guidance from the Apple team or fellow developers. Thanks in advance! Best regards,
