How to reliably debug PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension during development?
I'm developing a PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension and finding it difficult to debug because the system controls when the extension launches. Current experience: The extension starts at unpredictable times (anywhere from 1 minute to several hours after photos are added) By the time I attach the debugger, the upload may have already completed or failed Breakpoints in init() or early lifecycle methods are often missed Questions: Is there a way to force-launch the extension during development (similar to how we can manually trigger Background App Refresh in Xcode)? Are there any launch arguments or environment variables that put the extension in a debug/eager mode? I tried taking photos/videos, but this doesn't trigged app extension in all cases. Any tips for improving the debug cycle would be greatly appreciated. Environment: iOS 26, Xcode 18

UVC over MFi – Is there official support? Implementation guidance?
Hello everyone, I’m looking for more detailed information regarding UVC (USB Video Class) over MFi within the Apple ecosystem and would appreciate some clarification. I’m interested in developing (or interfacing with) an accessory that transmits video over USB using the UVC standard, and I’d like to better understand how this works within the MFi (Made for iPhone) program. Here are my main questions: 1. Do iOS devices provide native support for UVC over USB-C or Lightning within the MFi framework? 2. Are there any specific firmware or authentication requirements when the accessory is MFi-certified? 3. Does UVC support depend solely on the hardware interface (USB-C vs Lightning), or are there additional software-level requirements? 4. Improving Speech Analyzer Transcription for technical terms
I am developing an app with transcription and I am exploring ways to improve the transcription from the SpeechAnalyzer/Transcriber for technical terms. SFSpeech... recognition had the capability of being augmented by contextualStrings. Does something similar exist for SpeechAnalyzer/Transcriber? If so please point me towards the documentation and any sample code that may exist for this. If there are other options, please let me know.

CoreAudio server plugin gaining write access with SystemConfiguration.framework functions
Hi, our CourAudio server plugin utilizes the SystemConfiguration.framework to store and restore specific shared system wide settings. While our application can authenticate to utilize the SystemConfiguration.framework to gain write access to the shared configuration settings the CoreAudio server plugin obviously can't have any user interaction and therefor does not authenticate. Is it possible to authenticate the CoreAudio server plugin to gain write permissions? Are there any entitlements or other means that would allow this? Thanks!

VideoToolbox Encoder's Unregistered User Data SEI NAL UUID
I was advised to post here by a Code-Level Support representative. Below will be a copy of my initial issue report, and my minimally reproductive test project can be found at the following GitHub repository URL... https://github.com/PierceLBrooks/vtUudSeiNalCmake DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM When encoding H264 video codec data using the VTCompressionSession API facilities available through the VideoToolbox framework on MacOS, the resultant bitstream will invariably include Unregistered User Data SEI NAL units that carry the UUID "47564adc-5c4c-433f-94ef-c5113cd143a8". The proprietary decoders we are working with currently struggle with filtering out these NAL units. Can you explain what purpose this serves, what the meaning of the byte-wise unit payloads are, and which configuration settings the VideoToolbox encoder instance specifically depends upon for triggering the insertion of them? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Invoke the instantiation of a new VideoToolbox H264 encoder object by calling VTCompressionSessionCreate with appropriate configuration flags. 2. Push frames through the encoder, receiving their encoded byte buffer counterparts through an asynchronous callback. 3. Write that encoded data to some buffer which will contain the totality of the encoder's output. 4. Inspect the NAL units of the initial portion of this output bitstream buffer. 5. Observe the presence of at least one Unregistered User Data SEI NAL unit carrying the "47564adc-5c4c-433f-94ef-c5113cd143a8" UUID near the beginning of the output segment.

Graceful shutdown during background audio playback.
Hello. My team and I think we have an issue where our app is asked to gracefully shutdown with a following SIGTERM. As we’ve learned, this is normally not an issue. However, it seems to also be happening while our app (an audio streamer) is actively playing in the background. From our perspective, starting playback is indicating strong user intent. We understand that there can be extreme circumstances where the background audio needs to be killed, but should it be considered part of normal operation? We hope that’s not the case. All we see in the logs is the graceful shutdown request. We can say with high certainty that it’s happening though, as we know that playback is running within 0.5 seconds of the crash, without any other tracked user interaction. Can you verify if this is intended behavior, and if there’s something we can do about it from our end. From our logs it doesn’t look to be related to either memory usage within the app, or the system as a whole. Best, John

AVSpeechSynthesizer system voices (SLA clarification)
Hello, I am building an iOS-only, commercial app that uses AVSpeechSynthesizer with system voices, strictly using the APIs provided by Apple. Before distributing the app, I want to ensure that my current implementation does not conflict with the iOS Software License Agreement (SLA) and is aligned with Apple’s intended usage. For a better playback experience (more accurate estimation of utterance duration and smoother skip forward/backward during playback), I currently synthesize speech using: AVSpeechSynthesizer.write(_:toBufferCallback:) Converting the received AVAudioPCMBuffer buffers into audio data Storing the audio inside the app sandbox Playing it back using AVAudioPlayer / AVAudioEngine The cached audio is: Generated fully on-device using system voices Stored only inside the app’s private container Used only for internal playback controls (timeline, seek, skip ±5 seconds) Never shared, exported, uploaded, or exposed outside the app The alternative approaches would be: Keeping the generated audio entirely in memory (RAM) for playback purposes, without writing it to the file system at any point Or using AVSpeechSynthesizer.speak(_:) and playing speech strictly in real time which has a poorer user experience compared to my approach I have reviewed the current iOS Software License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/iOS18_iPadOS18.pdf In particular, section (f) mentions restrictions around System Characters, Live Captions, and Personal Voice, including the following excerpt: “…use … only for your personal, non-commercial use… No other creation or use of the System Characters, Live Captions, or Personal Voice is permitted by this License, including but not limited to the use, reproduction, display, performance, recording, publishing or redistribution in a … commercial context.” I do not see a specific reference in the SLA to system text-to-speech voices used via AVSpeechSynthesizer, and I want to be certain that temporarily caching synthesized speech for internal, non-exported playback is acceptable in a commercial app. My question is: Is caching AVSpeechSynthesizer system-voice output inside the app sandbox for internal playback acceptable, or is Apple’s recommended approach to rely only on real-time playback (speak(_:)) or strictly in-memory buffering without file storage? If this question falls outside DTS technical scope and is instead a policy or licensing matter, I would appreciate guidance on the authoritative Apple documentation or the correct Apple team/contact. iPad app on macOS not asking for microphone permission
Hello, I have an iOS app that is recording audio that is working fine on iPads/iPhones. It asks for microphone permission and after that recording works. I installed the same app on my M3 MacBook via TestFlight since iPad apps are supposed to work without a change that way. The app starts fine and everything, but it never asks for Microphone permission, so I can't record. Do I need to do something to make this happen (this is not macCatalyst, its running the arm64 iPhone binary on macOS) thanks

Dockkit custom tracking does not work on iOS18.3
Hi all, I'm using Apple Sample Code below to create application using dockkit. "Controlling a DockKit accessory using your camera app" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/dockkit/controlling-a-dockkit-accessory-using-your-camera-app?changes=_8 I used vision hand recognition and put the observation data to dockAccessory.track, but Belkin or Insta360 devices never move on iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.3. If I use other functions like face search (system tracking) in the app, those work ok. I used Belkin and Insta360 Flow 2 Pro to reproduce the problem. My friend is also saying that the custom tracking feature was working fine on the OS 18 beta, but on recent iOS 18.3 that feature does not work. If I can get the iOS 18.0 beta then we can test that feature. But I cannot revert my iOS from 18.3 to the iOS 18.0 Beta. Regards, TO

I'm hoping that putting the color matrix info in there will control how AVAssetWriter converts the RGB to YCbCr.

Always audio from latest connected external USB mic
Hello! I've two mics connected to a USB-hub. The USB-hub is then connected to my iPad. Both mics are part of the audio session's list of available inputs. The problem is that regardless of which mic I select in my app (using setPreferredInput() on the audio session), the audio keeps coming from the mic that was last connected to the USB-hub. Anyone that knows if this is a limitation in iPadOS/iOS?

Apple News Publisher: How To Successfully Apply
Hi there, Can anyone tell me how to possibly get approved as an Apple News Publisher in 2025? We attempted in 2024, but received this message from Apple support: "Thank you for your interest in Apple News. At this time, we're not accepting new applications." When I inquired further, I got this second response: "Apple News is no longer accepting unsolicited applications. To learn more about Apple News requirements, visit the Apple News support page. If you have any feedback, please use this form to send us your comments. Keep in mind that while we read all feedback, we are unable to respond to each submission individually." My questions are: Is this still the case? (Especially when you are a legit local news outlet) Is there a link to apply as a news publisher? I don't seem to have that option at all. AVAssetWriterInputTaggedPixelBufferGroupAdaptor Hanging With Tagged Buffers
We've successfully implemented an AVAssetWriter to produce HLS streams (all code is Objective-C++ for interop with existing codebase) but are struggling to extend the operations to use tagged buffers. We're starting to wonder if the tagged buffers required for an MV-HEVC signal are fully supported when producing HLS segments in a live-stream setting. We generate a live stream of data using something like: UTType *t = [UTType typeWithIdentifier:AVFileTypeMPEG4]; m_writter = [[AVAssetWriter alloc] initWithContentType:t]; // - videoHint describes HEVC and width/height // - m_videoConfig includes compression settings and, when using MV-HEVC, // the correct keys are added (i.e. kVTCompressionPropertyKey_MVHEVCVideoLayerIDs) // The app was throwing an exception without these which was // useful to know when we got the configuration right. m_video = [[AVAssetWriterInput alloc] initWithMediaType:AVMediaTypeVideo outputSettings:m_videoConfig sourceFormatHint:videoHint]; For either path we're producing CVPixelBufferRefs that contain the raw pixel information (i.e. 32BGRA) so we use an adapter to make that as simple as possible. If we use a single view and a AVAssetWriterInputPixelBufferAdaptor things work out very well. We produce segments and the delegate is called. However, if we use the AVAssetWriterInputTaggedPixelBufferGroupAdaptor as exampled in the SideBySideToMVHEVC demo project, things go poorly. Hopefully! Anyways, when I submit this tagged bugger group to the adaptor: if (![mvVideoAdapter appendTaggedPixelBufferGroup:bufferGroup withPresentationTime:pts]) { // report error... } Appending does not raise any errors - eventually it just hangs on us and we never return from it... Real Issue: So either: The delegate assigned to the AVAssetWriter doesn't fire its assetWriter callback which should produce the segments The adapter hangs on the appendTaggedPixelBufferGroup before a segment is ready to be completed (but succeeds for a number of buffer groups before this happens). This is the same delegate class that's assigned to the non multi view code path if MV-HEVC is turned off which works perfectly.

Airplay selection not working
I'm trying to implement airplay into my app. I can successfully playback sound and trigger the airplay selector sheet. If the target device is a Bluetooth only device I can connect with no problem and stream the audio to the Bluetooth device, but if the audio device is a airplay specific device like a HomePod or an Apple TV when I select it, I get a spinning icon, indicating that it is trying to connect, and eventually it times out and stops without connecting. I don't believe it is an AirPlay audio issue because if I go to a different app, for example a podcast app and select my HomePods for output, and then switch back to my app. My audio will correctly stream to the HomePod. Not only that, I have it so that my icon will change color to indicate that it is connected via airplay and it is correctly indicating that it is connected via AirPlay. But I cannot then disconnect it using the Airplay selector. The issue appears to be in the AirPlay selection side, which I have spent several days attempting to troubleshoot mostly using ChatGPT to suggest code different than what I have to maybe work around the issue. Mostly it is focused on the audio player section, but it doesn't seem like that is really the route that is the problem.

I'm trying to access media from a users song library and receive: <ICUserIdentityStoreACAccountBackend: 0x148f8af30> Failed to initialize active account, error=Error Domain=ICError Code=-7013 "Client is not entitled to access account store" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=Client is not entitled to access account store} I'm told I need to add a Media Library Access Capability. Nothing like this shows up in Xcode under Signing & Capabilities > +Capabilities. Also I can't find anything like this in my account in dev.apple.com. How do I enable myself and a test user using another iPhone device to access my music and their music respectively? Thanks!

MusicKit API returns 500 Internal Server Error despite valid JWT and setup
My app is properly configured with MusicKit. I've generated a JWT using my valid credentials (Team ID, Key ID, private key), and I’ve ensured the time settings are correct via NTP. When I call: https://api.music.apple.com/v1/catalog/jp/search?term=ado&amp;types=songs I consistently receive a 500 Internal Server Error. The JWT is generated using ES256 with valid iat and exp values. I’ve confirmed the token decodes properly using jwt.io, and it's passed via the Authorization: Bearer header. Things I’ve confirmed: Key ID, Team ID, private key are correct App ID is configured with MusicKit capability JWT is generated and signed correctly macOS time is synced via NTP Used both curl and Python to test — same result Is there anything else I should check on the Apple Developer Console (like App ID, Certificates, or provisioning profile)? Or could this be a backend issue on Apple’s side? Any guidance would be appreciated.

How to reliably debug PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension during development?
I'm developing a PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension and finding it difficult to debug because the system controls when the extension launches. Current experience: The extension starts at unpredictable times (anywhere from 1 minute to several hours after photos are added) By the time I attach the debugger, the upload may have already completed or failed Breakpoints in init() or early lifecycle methods are often missed Questions: Is there a way to force-launch the extension during development (similar to how we can manually trigger Background App Refresh in Xcode)? Are there any launch arguments or environment variables that put the extension in a debug/eager mode? I tried taking photos/videos, but this doesn't trigged app extension in all cases. Any tips for improving the debug cycle would be greatly appreciated. Environment: iOS 26, Xcode 18

UVC over MFi – Is there official support? Implementation guidance?
Hello everyone, I’m looking for more detailed information regarding UVC (USB Video Class) over MFi within the Apple ecosystem and would appreciate some clarification. Improving Speech Analyzer Transcription for technical terms
I am developing an app with transcription and I am exploring ways to improve the transcription from the SpeechAnalyzer/Transcriber for technical terms. SFSpeech... recognition had the capability of being augmented by contextualStrings. Does something similar exist for SpeechAnalyzer/Transcriber? If so please point me towards the documentation and any sample code that may exist for this. If there are other options, please let me know.

CoreAudio server plugin gaining write access with SystemConfiguration.framework functions
Hi, our CourAudio server plugin utilizes the SystemConfiguration.framework to store and restore specific shared system wide settings. While our application can authenticate to utilize the SystemConfiguration.framework to gain write access to the shared configuration settings the CoreAudio server plugin obviously can't have any user interaction and therefor does not authenticate. Is it possible to authenticate the CoreAudio server plugin to gain write permissions? Are there any entitlements or other means that would allow this? Thanks!

VideoToolbox Encoder's Unregistered User Data SEI NAL UUID

Below will be a copy of my initial issue report, and my minimally reproductive test project can be found at the following GitHub repository URL... https://github.com/PierceLBrooks/vtUudSeiNalCmake DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM When encoding H264 video codec data using the VTCompressionSession API facilities available through the VideoToolbox framework on MacOS, the resultant bitstream will invariably include Unregistered User Data SEI NAL units that carry the UUID "47564adc-5c4c-433f-94ef-c5113cd143a8". The proprietary decoders we are working with currently struggle with filtering out these NAL units. Can you explain what purpose this serves, what the meaning of the byte-wise unit payloads are, and which configuration settings the VideoToolbox encoder instance specifically depends upon for triggering the insertion of them? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Invoke the instantiation of a new VideoToolbox H264 encoder object by calling VTCompressionSessionCreate with appropriate configuration flags. 2. Push frames through the encoder, receiving their encoded byte buffer counterparts through an asynchronous callback. 3. Write that encoded data to some buffer which will contain the totality of the encoder's output. 4. Inspect the NAL units of the initial portion of this output bitstream buffer. 5. Observe the presence of at least one Unregistered User Data SEI NAL unit carrying the "47564adc-5c4c-433f-94ef-c5113cd143a8" UUID near the beginning of the output segment.

Graceful shutdown during background audio playback.
Hello. My team and I think we have an issue where our app is asked to gracefully shutdown with a following SIGTERM. As we’ve learned, this is normally not an issue. However, it seems to also be happening while our app (an audio streamer) is actively playing in the background. From our perspective, starting playback is indicating strong user intent. We understand that there can be extreme circumstances where the background audio needs to be killed, but should it be considered part of normal operation? We hope that’s not the case. All we see in the logs is the graceful shutdown request. We can say with high certainty that it’s happening though, as we know that playback is running within 0.5 seconds of the crash, without any other tracked user interaction. Can you verify if this is intended behavior, and if there’s something we can do about it from our end. From our logs it doesn’t look to be related to either memory usage within the app, or the system as a whole. Best, John

AVSpeechSynthesizer system voices (SLA clarification)
Hello, I am building an iOS-only, commercial app that uses AVSpeechSynthesizer with system voices, strictly using the APIs provided by Apple. Before distributing the app, I want to ensure that my current implementation does not conflict with the iOS Software License Agreement (SLA) and is aligned with Apple’s intended usage. For a better playback experience (more accurate estimation of utterance duration and smoother skip forward/backward during playback), I currently synthesize speech using: AVSpeechSynthesizer.write(_:toBufferCallback:) Converting the received AVAudioPCMBuffer buffers into audio data Storing the audio inside the app sandbox Playing it back using AVAudioPlayer / AVAudioEngine The cached audio is: Generated fully on-device using system voices Stored only inside the app’s private container Used only for internal playback controls (timeline, seek, skip ±5 seconds) Never shared, exported, uploaded, or exposed outside the app The alternative approaches would be: Keeping the generated audio entirely in memory (RAM) for playback purposes, without writing it to the file system at any point Or using AVSpeechSynthesizer.speak(_:) and playing speech strictly in real time which has a poorer user experience compared to my approach I have reviewed the current iOS Software License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/iOS18_iPadOS18.pdf In particular, section (f) mentions restrictions around System Characters, Live Captions, and Personal Voice, including the following excerpt: “…use … only for your personal, non-commercial use… No other creation or use of the System Characters, Live Captions, or Personal Voice is permitted by this License, including but not limited to the use, reproduction, display, performance, recording, publishing or redistribution in a … commercial context.” I do not see a specific reference in the SLA to system text-to-speech voices used via AVSpeechSynthesizer, and I want to be certain that temporarily caching synthesized speech for internal, non-exported playback is acceptable in a commercial app. My question is: Is caching AVSpeechSynthesizer system-voice output inside the app sandbox for internal playback acceptable, or is Apple’s recommended approach to rely only on real-time playback (speak(_:)) or strictly in-memory buffering without file storage? If this question falls outside DTS technical scope and is instead a policy or licensing matter, I would appreciate guidance on the authoritative Apple documentation or the correct Apple team/contact. iPad app on macOS not asking for microphone permission
Hello, I have an iOS app that is recording audio that is working fine on iPads/iPhones. It asks for microphone permission and after that recording works. I installed the same app on my M3 MacBook via TestFlight since iPad apps are supposed to work without a change that way. The app starts fine and everything, but it never asks for Microphone permission, so I can't record. Do I need to do something to make this happen (this is not macCatalyst, its running the arm64 iPhone binary on macOS) thanks

Dockkit custom tracking does not work on iOS18.3
Hi all, I'm using Apple Sample Code below to create application using dockkit. "Controlling a DockKit accessory using your camera app" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/dockkit/controlling-a-dockkit-accessory-using-your-camera-app?changes=_8 I used vision hand recognition and put the observation data to dockAccessory.track, but Belkin or Insta360 devices never move on iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.3. If I use other functions like face search (system tracking) in the app, those work ok. I used Belkin and Insta360 Flow 2 Pro to reproduce the problem. My friend is also saying that the custom tracking feature was working fine on the OS 18 beta, but on recent iOS 18.3 that feature does not work. If I can get the iOS 18.0 beta then we can test that feature. But I cannot revert my iOS from 18.3 to the iOS 18.0 Beta. Regards, TO

I'm hoping that putting the color matrix info in there will control how AVAssetWriter converts the RGB to YCbCr.

Always audio from latest connected external USB mic
Hello! I've two mics connected to a USB-hub. The USB-hub is then connected to my iPad. Both mics are part of the audio session's list of available inputs. The problem is that regardless of which mic I select in my app (using setPreferredInput() on the audio session), the audio keeps coming from the mic that was last connected to the USB-hub. Anyone that knows if this is a limitation in iPadOS/iOS?

Apple News Publisher: How To Successfully Apply
Hi there, Can anyone tell me how to possibly get approved as an Apple News Publisher in 2025? We attempted in 2024, but received this message from Apple support: "Thank you for your interest in Apple News. At this time, we're not accepting new applications." When I inquired further, I got this second response: "Apple News is no longer accepting unsolicited applications. To learn more about Apple News requirements, visit the Apple News support page. If you have any feedback, please use this form to send us your comments. Keep in mind that while we read all feedback, we are unable to respond to each submission individually." My questions are: Is this still the case? (Especially when you are a legit local news outlet) Is there a link to apply as a news publisher? I don't seem to have that option at all. AVAssetWriterInputTaggedPixelBufferGroupAdaptor Hanging With Tagged Buffers
We've successfully implemented an AVAssetWriter to produce HLS streams (all code is Objective-C++ for interop with existing codebase) but are struggling to extend the operations to use tagged buffers. We're starting to wonder if the tagged buffers required for an MV-HEVC signal are fully supported when producing HLS segments in a live-stream setting. We generate a live stream of data using something like: UTType *t = [UTType typeWithIdentifier:AVFileTypeMPEG4]; m_writter = [[AVAssetWriter alloc] initWithContentType:t]; // - videoHint describes HEVC and width/height // - m_videoConfig includes compression settings and, when using MV-HEVC, // the correct keys are added (i.e. kVTCompressionPropertyKey_MVHEVCVideoLayerIDs) // The app was throwing an exception without these which was // useful to know when we got the configuration right. m_video = [[AVAssetWriterInput alloc] initWithMediaType:AVMediaTypeVideo outputSettings:m_videoConfig sourceFormatHint:videoHint]; For either path we're producing CVPixelBufferRefs that contain the raw pixel information (i.e. 32BGRA) so we use an adapter to make that as simple as possible. If we use a single view and a AVAssetWriterInputPixelBufferAdaptor things work out very well. We produce segments and the delegate is called. However, if we use the AVAssetWriterInputTaggedPixelBufferGroupAdaptor as exampled in the SideBySideToMVHEVC demo project, things go poorly. Hopefully! Anyways, when I submit this tagged bugger group to the adaptor: if (![mvVideoAdapter appendTaggedPixelBufferGroup:bufferGroup withPresentationTime:pts]) { // report error... } Appending does not raise any errors - eventually it just hangs on us and we never return from it... Real Issue: So either: The delegate assigned to the AVAssetWriter doesn't fire its assetWriter callback which should produce the segments The adapter hangs on the appendTaggedPixelBufferGroup before a segment is ready to be completed (but succeeds for a number of buffer groups before this happens). This is the same delegate class that's assigned to the non multi view code path if MV-HEVC is turned off which works perfectly.

Airplay selection not working
I'm trying to implement airplay into my app. I can successfully playback sound and trigger the airplay selector sheet. If the target device is a Bluetooth only device I can connect with no problem and stream the audio to the Bluetooth device, but if the audio device is a airplay specific device like a HomePod or an Apple TV when I select it, I get a spinning icon, indicating that it is trying to connect, and eventually it times out and stops without connecting. I don't believe it is an AirPlay audio issue because if I go to a different app, for example a podcast app and select my HomePods for output, and then switch back to my app. My audio will correctly stream to the HomePod. Not only that, I have it so that my icon will change color to indicate that it is connected via airplay and it is correctly indicating that it is connected via AirPlay. But I cannot then disconnect it using the Airplay selector. The issue appears to be in the AirPlay selection side, which I have spent several days attempting to troubleshoot mostly using ChatGPT to suggest code different than what I have to maybe work around the issue. Mostly it is focused on the audio player section, but it doesn't seem like that is really the route that is the problem.

I'm trying to access media from a users song library and receive: <ICUserIdentityStoreACAccountBackend: 0x148f8af30> Failed to initialize active account, error=Error Domain=ICError Code=-7013 "Client is not entitled to access account store" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=Client is not entitled to access account store} I'm told I need to add a Media Library Access Capability. Nothing like this shows up in Xcode under Signing & Capabilities > +Capabilities. Also I can't find anything like this in my account in dev.apple.com. How do I enable myself and a test user using another iPhone device to access my music and their music respectively? Thanks!

MusicKit API returns 500 Internal Server Error despite valid JWT and setup
My app is properly configured with MusicKit. I've generated a JWT using my valid credentials (Team ID, Key ID, private key), and I’ve ensured the time settings are correct via NTP. When I call: https://api.music.apple.com/v1/catalog/jp/search?term=ado&amp;types=songs I consistently receive a 500 Internal Server Error. The JWT is generated using ES256 with valid iat and exp values. I’ve confirmed the token decodes properly using jwt.io, and it's passed via the Authorization: Bearer header. Things I’ve confirmed: Key ID, Team ID, private key are correct App ID is configured with MusicKit capability JWT is generated and signed correctly macOS time is synced via NTP Used both curl and Python to test — same result Is there anything else I should check on the Apple Developer Console (like App ID, Certificates, or provisioning profile)? Or could this be a backend issue on Apple’s side? Any guidance would be appreciated.
