I have a UI application built with the Vue framework, using Vuetify for the UI components. There's a div with the class v-application--wrap, which is provided by Vuetify. This class internally includes the following style rule. .v-application--wrap { backface-visibility: hidden; display: flex; flex: 1 1 auto; flex-direction: column; max-width: 100%; min-height: 100vh; position: relative; } The pages were rendering correctly up to version 18.3, but after upgrading to version 18.4, we encountered layout issues related to height. Upon investigation, we discovered that the min-height property was no longer being interpreted or applied correctly. Replacing min-height with height resolved the issue, and the pages began loading as expected. Any insights into why this behavior is occurring would be greatly appreciated.

We are getting the cookie from server side when user will do the login successful. Cookie store into app browser. This cookie need to clear when user will do the logout app. We are using the Cordova framework to create the iOS application. In Cordova i have used plugin to clear the cookie. But in iOS device not able to clear the app browser cookie. And in android device same Cordova plugin is working fine. Why the iOS device not able to clear the cookie using Cordova plugin? From a mail app or similar, when opening a webpage in Safari as an external browser, JavaScript on the webpage stops running if Safari goes into the background. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Sample code for the counter: Behavior: Upon returning from the background, the counter continues for about 7-8 seconds but does not progress further. For example, if Safari is kept in the background for about 20 seconds and then brought back, the counter stops at around 7-8 seconds and only resumes counting after returning to the foreground. Expectation: The counter should continue running even if Safari goes into the background.

I've been unable to successfully get a webpage to send a message to a Safari web extension, no matter what I try doing. Within installed PWAs, the navigator.language / navigator.languages property return a value, that is not according to the Safari settings and defers from the navigator.language / navigator.languages in the browser itself. Example: Safari settings set to "German", returns "de-DE" in browser mode, but within the installed webApp it returns "en-GB". I thought this might be due to the overall phone language settings, but this is not the case. Even is the phone is completely set to German, the navigator returns "en-GB" within an installed PWA. My phone is also not English/British, there is no reason why "en-GB" should show up.

A DNR rule with lower priority is being applied before a DNR rule of higher priority on Safari. Specifically, a low-priority DNR block rule that matches a request is being applied before a high-priority DNR redirect rule that matches the same request, preventing the redirect from occurring. The only way to get the high-priority redirect rule to occur is to remove the DNR block rule. This does not occur on other browsers. Is there any video/audio codec best practices, guides, recommendations for app/web developers for best performance (take advantage from HW acceleration), power consumption saving? What are officially supported media containers? What are video encoding profiles, video dimensions, frame rates? The only official source I have found is https://developer.apple.com/documentation/webkit/delivering-video-content-for-safari?language=objc. But h264 is pretty old. I experimentally found that the VP9 video format is also supported on iOS newer versions. But is this a requirement? Сan i be sure that the video will play on all devices? My goal is to provide web media content (which will be rendered in my application using WKWebView API) that will be supported by most devices (both iOS and MacOS), takes advantage of such features as hardware decode acceleration and be efficient. Hello Community, My application was rejected by Apple App Review, citing Guideline 4.7 and "non-embedded," which I believe is incorrect. All transactions are signed and sent directly through the app with explicit user permission. Additionally, there's an issue with min apps where users can access the functionality via a browser to interact with the service. This feature has been part of my old application and hasn't changed in the new update. It’s the same functionality as used by popular wallets like Metamask Uniswap Coinbase Which also employ web3 technology. Over the past two weeks, I've tried to communicate with Apple's support team but have been ignored or received only generic rejection emails. This has left me frustrated and concerned about the time and resources I’ve invested in developing and supporting this app. Could you please help me find a solution? I'm not sure if this is even the right place to ask this, or voice this complaint if there's no fix. If not, please direct me where to go. I'm trying to switch all my development over to Safari, but the tab sidebar is driving me absolutely insane. Let's say I have a bunch of tab groups expanded, and I collapse the sidebar to focus on the webapp I am building. When I toggle to show the sidebar again, every single tab group is collapsed. Why is it 2 clicks to see the tabs in the sidebar? Even with zero tab groups, and just tabs in the workspace, if you collapse the sidebar it'll collapse the list of tabs. Is there some hidden setting for this? Who do we have to complain to?

When the “Use Strong Password?” dialog appears and I select “Not Now” to manually enter my own password, the password I type is displayed in plain text instead of being masked. Since the input field is of type="password", the entered characters should be hidden as is standard for password inputs. Is there a way to prevent this behavior and ensure that the password is properly hidden even after dismissing the strong password suggestion dialog?

We are building a Safari web extension utilising native messaging, to send messages to the Swift native part of the app. We sometimes experience, that the beginRequest handler is executed multiple times, at the same time. We have a special part of the code in the handler, that must be run only once. Because it uses NS defaults storage, and also because it calls our servers. We have tried to use a serial dispatch queue, as well as other locking and mutex techniques, to no success. We suspect that the instances of the handler are isolated in a way, that these locks don’t work (maybe they don’t share memory?). But we are not sure. When looking at os_logs from the handlers, they all share the same PID. Has anyone experienced anything similar and can shed some light on what's going on?

I have an app which has at least two extensions: A Content Blocker extension with a request handler that returns an appropriate NSExtensionItem as part of beginRequest. A different file URL is returned depending upon if the content blocking is on or off by a user setting A Safari Web Extension that includes a toolbar button and popover that enables users to enable or disable the ad blocking of the content blocker extension All three targets (App, Content Blocker appex and Web Extension appex) use an App Group default to read and set the on or off status of the content blocking. When the user changes the content blocking status, the app group default is updated and SFContentBlockerManager.reloadContentBlocker(...) is called. The Content Blocker extension reads the default and then returns the appropriate file URL. The issue is, I have noticed that whenever SFContentBlockerManager.reloadContentBlocker(...) is called from the app, Safari always applies the correct rules from the returned file URL. However sometimes when SFContentBlockerManager.reloadContentBlocker(...) is called from the Safari Web Extension using native messaging, Safari does NOT apply the correct rules from the returned file URL. Using logging I have confirmed that the Content Blocker extension always returns the appropriate file URL irrespective if called as a result of the app or the web extension. Despite this, Safari does not seem to always apply the returned file URL rules when it is called from the Safari Web Extension appex. In these cases, quitting Safari and relaunching it seems to make it apply the rules correctly (obviously this is applying it due to its launch state, not due to the Web extension appex asking it to do so at that point). All targets have access to the App Group location where the active content blocking file URL belongs and the inactive content blocking file URL is within the Safari content blocker target as a resource. I don't think this is a memory status issue as I cannot see the Content Blocker extension being killed when it returns complex rules --- the fact it always works when called via the app also seems to rule this possibility out. This brings up a number of questions: Is calling SFContentBlockerManager.reloadContentBlocker(...) from a different appex, of the same app target and app group supported? (it seems to work sometimes and did work in previous versions of the app). Is there an issue that the Content Blocker extension sometimes returns a file URL that perhaps the calling Web Extension appex may not have access to (even though Safari should via the Content Blocker extension)? Any other ideas of why this may not be working correctly? Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to happen on both iOS and macOS Safari using the same codebase.

SSL Library Error: error:1417C0C7:SSL routines:tls_process_client_certificate:peer did not return a certificate -- No CAs known to server for verification? It seems like ios 18.4 does not support TLS re-negotiation. (It worked with ios 18.3 and before) Is this an expected behavior or a bug?

I have a Safari extension that plays audio via the javascript AudioContext API. It was working fine under iOS 17 and is now broken under iOS 18. It does not play audio at all. I've tried in both the iOS 18 public beta and the iOS 18.1 developer beta. It is broken in both of them. I've also created Feedback item FB15170620 which has a url attached to a page I created which demonstrates the issue.

We are currently running a lightweight server within our iOS mobile app to pass a unique device ID via localhost for device-based restrictions. The setup works by binding a user's email to their device ID upon login, and later, when they attempt to log in via a browser, we retrieve this ID by making a request to http://localhost:8086/device-info. However, we're encountering an issue when making this request.
