Comment on App Previews not served for iPhone since ~Oct 5 — reproducible on apps.apple.com for every app (FB25109947)
Not 100% on the “Using Existing Assets” distinction. Still unable to upload assets directly to the listings preview section. All the inherited watch and some of the iPhone with Dynamic Island screenshots are gone. Cannot add images from Browse Assets ("An error has occurred. Try again later.") nor re-upload images directly to the preview section ("—An error occurred during upload."). Cannot delete some assets from the library because they are "in use" despite not in preview section.

I noticed that the screenshot upload sometimes lets me associate and asset or upload a new asset. However, when I navigate instead of staying there it is gone when I get back. I can find the newly uploaded images in the new Asset Library subsequently but they cannot be deleted because a message says it is in use. Thus, even though the it is not shown in the previous section, there is some sort of association/binding has been established. I think the errors reflect that they are already linked.

I'm seeing weird stuff too. I think the give away is that when trying to delete an asset that is not shown in the product information previews builder but used previously because a message is shown saying that an asset in use cannot be deleted. Thus, it seems to be a surfacing problem in the forms.

I'm getting the same problem. All the Apple watchOS assets were removed, many iPhone screenshots, plus the header images from the submission form. The files are still in the assets library. It won't let me add them back with the same "An error has occurred...". Tried different browsers. I have lost hours of populating screenshots due to all the supported localisations.

Whilst my screenshots are still in the assets library I have associations on the submission form: all the Apple watchOS, some iPhone devices, header. I'm getting the same error as you when trying to reattach. For me due to all the localisations that are supported we are talking hours of work.
