I decided to do the same and keep the backend solution for every other platform except iOS. Definitely feels too risky and the information I found around didn't really help. Maybe someone from Apple will be able to clarify this in the future.. for now, let's stick to the allegedly best solution :D

Yeah for now I will use a "normal" backend for the other platforms and use the 0$ IAP purchase for apple.. I decided it's too risky too doing otherwise, and didn't really find anything else around. Maybe one day someone from apple will reply and we can ditch the 0$ IAP who knows :D
