@Aleks123 @Ebendigo , I have tried the suggestion @Vatsal Manot suggested but it would not fix the problem for me.
Could you please add details to the steps you took to fix the problem? What are the actual permissions of the folder and who is the owner and group for it?
macOS 15.1 Beta 6 addressed the issue.
I had deleted the /Library/AppStore folder, installed the update, rebooted as part of the update process, and once it was all done I could update apps from the Mac App Store again. Closed the FB bug I raised after updating it.
Does it persist on Xcode 16.4 Beta 1 and the latest beta iOS release? The release notes are a bit scarce as they fail to mention other fixes such as the URLSession bug fixed in the Simulator.
