Xcode 27 beta 3 linker warning: points before section start and the target atom is ambiguous
I am testing an existing iOS app with Xcode 27 beta 3. The build succeeds, but I am seeing a new linker warning from Swift Package product targets. ld: warning: address=0xF496F points before section(28) start and the target atom is ambiguous Environment: Xcode 27.0 beta 3 Build version: 27A5218g Platform: iOS Simulator Configuration: Debug Project type: iOS app with Swift Package dependencies, also embedding a watchOS app Build command: DEVELOPER_DIR=/Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer \ xcodebuild -project MyWeight/MyWeight.xcodeproj \ -scheme MyWeight \ -configuration Debug \ -destination "generic/platform=iOS Simulator" \ build The build succeeds: ** BUILD SUCCEEDED ** Warnings: MyWeight/MyWeightKit/Package.swift: MyWeightKit-watchOS-product: ld: warning: address=0xF493F points before section(28) start and the target atom is ambiguous MyWeight/MyWeightKit/Package.swift: MyWeightKit-iOS-product: ld: warning: address=0xF496F points before section(28) start and the target atom is ambiguous Both warnings appear during the link step for Swift Package product framework targets. Is this a known issue in Xcode 27 beta 3? Does it indicate a real issue in the produced simulator binary, or is it likely a linker/debug-info diagnostic?

Unable to run App Shortcut: App Shortcuts cannot run on iOS Simulator 26.5 through 27.0 beta 2
App Shortcuts cannot be debugged or executed on iOS Simulator runtimes from iOS 26.5 through iOS 27.0 beta 2 when using Xcode 26.5 through Xcode 27 beta 2. When attempting to run an App Shortcut in the Shortcuts app on the simulator, Shortcuts shows the error: Unable to run App Shortcut The simulator console logs the following error: Attempted to fetch Auto Shortcuts, but couldn't find the AppShortcutsProvider This happens even with Apple’s official App Intents sample project, so it does not appear to be specific to a third-party app implementation. Steps to Reproduce Download Apple’s official sample project from: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appintents/acceleratingappinteractionswithappintents Open the sample project in Xcode 26.5 through Xcode 27 beta 2. Build and run the app on an iOS Simulator using iOS 26.5 through iOS 27.0 beta 2. Open the Shortcuts app in the simulator. Find one of the sample app’s App Shortcuts. Try to run the App Shortcut. Expected Result The App Shortcut should run successfully in the iOS Simulator, allowing App Shortcuts and App Intents to be debugged during development. Actual Result The Shortcuts app displays: Unable to run App Shortcut The simulator console logs: Attempted to fetch Auto Shortcuts, but couldn't find the AppShortcutsProvider The App Shortcut cannot be executed or debugged in the simulator. Reproducibility Reproduces consistently. Tested Configurations Xcode 26.5 with iOS Simulator 26.5 Xcode 27 beta 2 with iOS Simulator 27.0 beta 2

Tab button's ax identifier is missing when using `.sidebarAdaptable` TabViewStyle
Hello, I found that if you apply the new .sidebarAdaptable tab view style, the accessibility identifiers of tab bar buttons are missing. import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { TabView { Tab("Received", systemImage: "tray.and.arrow.down.fill") { Text("Received") } .accessibilityIdentifier("tab.received") // 👀 Tab("Sent", systemImage: "tray.and.arrow.up.fill") { Text("Sent") } .accessibilityIdentifier("tab.sent") // 👀 Tab("Account", systemImage: "person.crop.circle.fill") { Text("Account") } .accessibilityIdentifier("tab.account") // 👀 } .tabViewStyle(.sidebarAdaptable) // 👈 if remove this, ax identifiers are ok } } #Preview { ContentView() } The identifiers automatically appear after a few seconds. But this behaviour breaks a lot of the UI test cases.

Popover in Toolbar Causes Crash in Catalyst App on macOS 26
Hi everyone, I’ve encountered an issue where using a popover inside the toolbar of a Catalyst app causes a crash on macOS 26 beta 5 with Xcode 26 beta 5. Here’s a simplified code snippet: import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { @State private var isPresentingPopover = false var body: some View { NavigationStack { VStack { } .padding() .toolbar { ToolbarItem { Button(action: { isPresentingPopover.toggle() }) { Image(systemName: "bubble") } .popover(isPresented: $isPresentingPopover) { Text("Hello") .font(.largeTitle) .padding() } } } } } } Steps to reproduce: Create a new iOS app using Xcode 26 beta 5. Enable Mac Catalyst (Match iPad). Add the above code to show a Popover from a toolbar button. Run the app on macOS 26, then click the toolbar button. The app crashes immediately upon clicking the toolbar button. Has anyone else run into this? Any workarounds or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Xcode Cloud: Unable to Notarize macOS App (Stuck in Infinite Waiting)
Hi everyone, I’m encountering an issue with Xcode Cloud when trying to notarize my macOS app. As shown in the screenshot, there are no errors in the logs, but the process gets stuck indefinitely. The message says: The post-action could not be completed because the build was canceled. No artifacts are generated at all. This problem started recently. Notarization works perfectly when I submit from my local Xcode, so it seems to be specific to Xcode Cloud. Has anyone else experienced this?

Xcode Cloud: All Targets Suddenly Timeout During Archive
Hi everyone, Starting today, my Xcode Cloud CI workflow can no longer successfully build iOS/macOS/visionOS targets. The Archive step does not report any errors, but the xcodebuild command hangs indefinitely and eventually fails with the following message: The step invocation hit a user timeout. The xcodebuild archive invocation timed out. No activity has been detected on stdout, stderr or the result bundle in 30 minutes. My iOS and macOS targets can still be built, but the build time has increased by 2-3x compared to before. That's interesting. After I removed the visionOS target, the iOS target also failed to build. Additionally, since today, I’ve noticed a significant increase in network-related errors in Xcode Cloud. There have been multiple failures to download dependencies from Homebrew or GitHub. I have confirmed that CI versions which previously built successfully are now failing, while running the same build commands locally works fine. Based on these observations, I suspect there may be an issue with the Xcode Cloud environment itself. Has anyone else encountered similar problems? Any suggestions or updates would be appreciated! Thanks!

NavigationSplitView + inspector causes Sidebar state issues on Mac Catalyst
Hi everyone! I've encountered an issue on Mac Catalyst: using the latest inspector modifier causes abnormal Sidebar and Columns state in NavigationSplitView. Sample Code: struct ContentView: View { @State private var isPresented = false var body: some View { NavigationSplitView { List { ForEach(0..<20, id: \.self) { item in Text("Item \(item)") } } } content: { List { ForEach(0..<20, id: \.self) { item in Text("Item \(item)") } } } detail: { List { } } .inspector(isPresented: $isPresented) { Form { } } } } Steps to reproduce: Xcode 16 beta 7, create a new iOS project Paste the code above Enable Mac Catalyst Run on Mac (macOS 15 beta 9) Press Command+N three times to open 3 new windows Click the Sidebar Toggle button The issue occurs (see screenshot below) Through testing, I found that as long as the inspector modifier is attached, the issue occurs. Also, the problem only appears in the 3rd and subsequent newly opened windows—the first two windows work as expected. FB20061521

Button Glass Style Incorrect in Sheet + ScrollView on Mac Catalyst 26
Hi everyone! Paste the code above. Select the Mac Catalyst scheme and run the project. The buttons in the toolbar show a strange gray appearance. If you change the ScrollView to a List in the code, the issue does not occur. FB20120285

Has Background Refresh Stopped Working on watchOS 26?
Hi everyone! My Apple Watch app has relied for years on the WKApplication.scheduleBackgroundRefresh(...) method to keep the app updated in the background. The system would reliably trigger WKApplicationDelegate.handle(_:), where I would then schedule the next refresh task (usually 15 minutes later). As stated in the documentation, as long as there is a complication on the watch face, these background tasks should run at a relatively stable frequency. However, this approach seems to have stopped working on watchOS 26. I no longer receive any WKApplicationRefreshBackgroundTask at all. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Is there a `isiOSAppOnVision` flag to check iOS app on Vision Pro at runtime?
Hello, When an iOS app runs on Vision Pro in compatible mode, is there a flag such as isiOSAppOnVision to determine the underlying OS at runtime? Just like the ProcessInfo.isiOSAppOnMac. It will be useful to optimize the app for visionOS. Already checked but not useful: #if os(xrOS) does not work in compatible mode since no code is recompiled. UIDevice.userInterfaceIdiom returns .pad instead of .reality. Thanks.

iOS 26 Home Screen Widgets Color Rendering Issue
Hi everyone! I've noticed a color rendering issue with Home Screen widgets on iOS 26: the colors displayed in widgets are inconsistent with those shown inside the app. At first, I suspected this might be caused by differences in color spaces, but even after explicitly specifying the color space for SwiftUI.Color or UIColor, the widget colors remain incorrect. Steps to reproduce: Create a new iOS project in Xcode 26 beta 6. Add a new Widget Extension target. Use the following Widget view code: struct MyWidgets: Widget { let kind: String = "MyWidgets" var body: some WidgetConfiguration { StaticConfiguration(kind: kind, provider: Provider()) { entry in let white = Color(.sRGB, red: 1, green: 1, blue: 1) let veryLightGray = Color(.sRGB, red: 0.96, green: 0.96, blue: 0.96) let lightGray = Color(.sRGB, red: 0.9, green: 0.9, blue: 0.9) VStack(spacing: 0) { Rectangle() .foregroundStyle(veryLightGray) // 👈 Rectangle() .foregroundStyle(lightGray) // 👈 } .containerBackground(white, for: .widget) // 👈 } .configurationDisplayName("My Widget") } } ⬆️ In-app, the colors are correct: the top block is a very light gray (white=0.96)✅, and the bottom block is a regular gray (white=0.90)✅. However, on the Home Screen widget, the result is as follows: ⬆️ The top light gray block blends completely into the white background and is indistinguishable; the bottom gray block also appears lighter than it does in-app ❌. This issue occurs both on the simulator and on real devices. (Interestingly, the colors are correct in the Xcode Preview.) Whether I declare colors in code (SwiftUI.Color or UIColor) or in the Asset Catalog, the widget's color rendering does not match expectations. What's even stranger is that if I add an extra pure white block (white=1.0) to the view, it immediately affects all the colors in the widget: This whole behavior makes it very difficult to set accurate colors for widgets on iOS 26. While it seems related to glass effect rendering and color space handling, I still feel there might be a bug in the implementation.

Thanks.

Xcode Cloud Workflows Completely Stuck
Hello everyone! I found that the Xcode Cloud workflows under my project are completely stuck. The tasks that are already running cannot be completed. Newly started tasks remain in the queued state forever and cannot be canceled. They are consuming my usage quota 😢. Has anyone else encountered the same issue?

iOS 26 Home Screen Widgets Color Rendering Issue
