UI Testing for iPadOS 26 Menu Bar items
I need to validate whether specific menu items are correctly enabled/disabled. The XCUIAutomation elements for my menu items do not appear in the tree shown by displaying the XCUIApplication object in the debugger when building and testing the iPadOS version of my application. When running the application in an iPad simulator, I can make the menu bar appear by swiping down. The testing works as expected for the MacOS build and test. I did try to use the recording feature, but was not successful in creating a series of commands that worked for a test run.

Xcode 26.3 incompatible with FireBase and WeTest?
Popular automated testing systems like FireBase [1] and WeTest [2] expect the uploaded test to include the Debug-iphoneos directory generated by Xcode. However, in all of our builds on Xcode 26.3, this folder is created but remains empty. There are some other folders with the same name in subdirectories, but these only contain intermediate build files. Now we're looking for configuration or settings in Xcode to restore the original behavior, where the top-level Debug-iphoneos directory gets populated with a complete image of the test target, include the binary and resource files. Latest Beta Version Breaks Xcode Testing Builds on Physical devices.
This is a grave issue I am facing while testing my apps on my personal device. This is the error I seem to be getting: "The application could not be launched because the Developer App Certificate is not trusted." And on the phone side, this is the message: Unable to Verify App. An internet connection is required to verify the trust of the developer "Apple Development... Before I receive any recommendations, such as deleting Xcode or restarting my device, I would like to clarify that I have already taken all necessary precautions. The application I was testing appeared to function correctly in the morning a few hours prior to the update. However, after upgrading to the latest beta builds, iOS 26.4 beta and the latest macOS beta, this issue has become a recurring problem. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter, as it is of utmost importance to me.

Unable to test my apps, crashing with provisioning profile validation
Since around September (iOS 26 release), i'm unable to test my app normally. It says "internet connection is required to verify [my certificate id]", or just crashing. All terms and conditions accepted, everything is valid, certificates are OK. Reinstallation via xcode does not help. Removal of provisioning profile, generating new does not help. Revoking of certificate and generating new does for around week, then it happens again, but do i need to do it every week now? It looks like apple validation servers are not working, or is it iOS bug? All provisioning profiles are showing like "valid" in apple developer center. My network is not behind a proxy, connection is direct. If use EXACTLY the same app, signed with the same provisioning, same signature, on another test device, it works! When i reset current device to default settings and installing the EXACTLY same app after it, it works as well. Looking for a help from apple developer support

App Works on TestFlight but Fails During Apple Review with Server Error
I am facing an issue with my app. It works perfectly on TestFlight, and I have tested it on several devices, where it also runs without any problems. However, when the app is tested in the Apple testing facility, it shows an unexpected server error message. I have tested the app using multiple VPNs and different locations in Sri Lanka, and it works perfectly in all cases. It also works correctly when distributed through third-party app stores. At this point, I am not sure what is causing this issue. I have already submitted more than 10 app versions, each with different fixes that I thought might solve the problem, but the issue still persists. Could someone please help me understand what might be causing this problem? (the above provided screenshot from apple)

TestFlight Invitation Not Working
I removed TestFlight app from old device (email is no where exists in AppStore connect in Testers) which has different email than my AppStoreConnect email. Now I am trying to get invitation to the device which has same email as my AppStoreConnect, but keep getting -> Couldn't Load App The apple Account you're currently signed in with, , doesn't match the one assiciated to this invitation. You can sign in to TestFlight with original Apple Account, , or request a ne…. Where as all other apps in the AppStore connect shows up fine in the TestFlight using appstore connect email. Followed all the reset & settings mentioned but no luck so far.

Testing a locale with space as thousands separator and dot as decimal point
MacOS system settings allow the user to select one of a number of number formats. My app behaves differently depending on the format (taken from the system Locale), so I need to test every combination. Thus far I have been successful at creating Locale objects with various identifiers that map to the different formats, like: let westEuropeanLocale = Locale(identifier: "en_DE") However, I can't find a locale that maps to using . as a decimal point, and space as a thousands separator, even though it's a standard option (3rd in this list): Any suggestions on how to create a test for this number format?

How to test CKShare across multiple accounts?
I'm testing CloudKit Sharing (CKShare) in my app. My app uses CloudKit Sharing to share private data between users (this is not App Store Family Sharing or purchase sharing, it's app-level sharing via CKShare). To properly test this, I need three or four Apple Accounts with distinct roles in my app. This means I need three/four separate iCloud accounts signed in on test devices. Simulators are probably ok: two acting as "parents" (share owner and participant): parent1.sandbox@example.com parent2.sandbox@example.com, one or two as a "child" (participant) child1.sandbox@example.com child2.sandbox@example.com except obviously using my domain name. I attempted to create Sandbox Apple Accounts in App Store Connect, but these don't appear to work with CloudKit Sharing. I then created several standard Apple Accounts, but I've now hit a limit — I believe my mobile number (used for two-factor authentication on the test accounts) has been flagged or rate-limited for account creation, and I can no longer create or verify new accounts with it. It's also blocked the email addresses associated with those accounts from being used for new account creation. Can Apple or anyone advise on the recommended approach for testing CloudKit Sharing with multiple participants? are Sandbox accounts supposed to work for CKShare, or do I need full Apple Accounts? How do i create and verify these in the correct way to avoid hitting these limits or breaking terms of service?

Running tests on multiple simulators and local mock servers
Hello, I have a question about running tests on multiple simulators. Currently, my company has a WDIO+Appium test suite with XCUITEST driver that runs on a single simulator through a mockttp proxy (we are intercepting and mocking some of the responses from our APIs and pass through the rest). In order to route the traffic we are currently using 'networksetup -setsecurewebproxy '. Everything works as expected. With growing number of tests we'd like to scale number of simulators on a single host to 3-5. We have a working setup but the problem are system-wide proxy settings routing traffic from multiple simulators, which we can't distinguish by UDID or any other means, we know of. We can spin multiple mock servers on the same machine but we are struggling to find the way to route the traffic on a simulator basis. In the end, both options are viable: 1 mock server running for multiple simulators N number of mock servers for N number of simulators Has anyone had the same/similar problem? How to approach this? We are currently running on Sequoia OSX and platform version 18.6. Thanks!

Testing Significant Location Change
We are currently developing a research-based iOS application that relies heavily on background capabilities, specifically Significant Location Change. We are using CLLocationManager.startMonitoringSignificantLocationChanges(). During development, when using Debug → Simulate Location in Xcode, we receive a location update only once. Subsequent simulated location changes do not trigger additional callbacks, which makes testing and development quite cumbersome. Are there any tools, commands, or workflows (e.g., via Xcode, Instruments, or system-level simulation) to reliably simulate multiple significant location change callbacks for testing purposes? If there aren't such tools, how do I test this behaviour reliably, robustly and rigidly?

Issue With Apple Pay Express
We are facing an issue with Apple Pay address details while customers are placing orders on our production site. By default, the following values are being passed during checkout: First Name: ApplePay Last Name: Express Address: ApplePay Street When we manually enter these same details, our validation correctly prevents the order from being placed and displays an appropriate error message. However, on our production site, real customers are still able to successfully place orders with these exact details. Could you please help us understand: How these orders are being allowed to proceed despite the validation? Is this behaviour expected from Apple Pay ? How can we prevent orders from being placed with such placeholder address details? Please let us know if you need any additional information from our side. xcodebuild does not retry UI tests with xcode 26.2
I have ios UI tests that are build with command xcodebuild -workspace ... -scheme ... -configuration ... -derivedDataPath ... -destination ... -testPlan ... build-for-testing Then I run them with xcodebuild -destination ... -resultBundlePath ... -parallel-testing-worker-count ... -xctestrun ... test-without-building I also have following settings in testplan "maximumTestRepetitions" : 3, "testRepetitionMode" : "retryOnFailure", With xcode 16.4 tests were retried on failure up to 3 times, but migrating to xcode 26.2 seems to change this behavior and tests are no longer retried. Is it expected behaviour and I should manually add params like -test-iterations 3 -retry-tests-on-failure into xcodebuild test-without-building command? "Application has not loaded accessibility" timeout followed by silent auto-recovery corrupts framework state on iOS 18
On iOS 18, when XCUITest encounters an "Application has not loaded accessibility" error after the 60 second timeout, it performs an undocumented auto-recovery ("Setting up automation session") instead of halting the test as documented. This leaves the XCUITest framework in a corrupted state, causing subsequent tests in the same session to fail with unexpected behavior. Expected Behavior (per Apple documentation): Any failure in the launch sequence will be reported as a test failure and the test will be halted at that point. Actual Behavior: XCUITest waits 60 seconds for accessibility to load Logs "Application has not loaded accessibility" error Instead of halting, performs "Setting up automation session" (auto-recovery) Test continues with corrupted framework state Subsequent tests in the same session fail with phantom element queries Steps Run XCUITest suite on a real iOS 18 device Have an app with moderately heavy initialization (e.g., synchronous network operations during bootstrap) Observe intermittent "accessibility not loaded" errors When error occurs, subsequent tests fail with unexpected behavior Test Logs Evidence First test (accessibility failure + recovery): t = 11.11s Wait for accessibility to load t = 71.14s Capturing diagnostic spindump t = 76.24s Assertion Failure: Application 'com.example.app' has not loaded accessibility t = 76.26s Setting up automation session ← Undocumented recovery t = 77.29s Tear Down Second test (corrupted state): t = 35.01s Tap "signin-button" t = 35.55s Waiting for "bannerButtonStackFirstItem" ← Query NOT in test code! t = 40.58s Assertion Failure: Failed to find element The second test executes element queries that do not exist in its source code, indicating leaked/corrupted state from the previous test's failed recovery. Note: The tearDown() method terminates the app but cannot reset the internal state of the XCUITest framework itself, so corruption persists across tests. We are observing this behavior consistently on iOS 18 real devices. We would like to know: Is this a known issue with XCUITest on iOS 18? Is anyone experiencing similar "accessibility not loaded" failures followed by auto-recovery? Is the "Setting up automation session" recovery behavior intentional or a bug? Is there a recommended workaround to prevent framework state corruption between tests?

TestFlight install fails: “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist” (Internal testing)
Hi all, We can’t install our app from TestFlight. The app is visible in TestFlight for invited internal testers, but tapping Install fails immediately with: “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.” --Setup-- Distribution: TestFlight – Internal Testing Internal group created and testers added (invite accepted) Build processing status in App Store Connect: Complete TestFlight build status shows: Ready to Submit / Prepare for Submission Minimum iOS deployment target: iOS 15.0 Version/Build: 1.0.0 (1) What we tried Confirmed tester is signed into TestFlight with the same Apple ID email that was invited Removed/added testers to the internal group and resent invites Reinstalled TestFlight, signed out/in Verified build is assigned to the internal group Set and saved Monetization → Pricing and Availability → App Availability (All Countries/Regions) Question Has anyone resolved this issue? Is there a known TestFlight/App Store Connect stuck state that causes this error even for internal testing? Any recommended steps (new build number, group reset, availability/pricing settings, etc.)? Screenshots available (TestFlight error + App Store Connect build/group view). Thanks.

UI Tests troubles with Xcode 26.1 and Xcode 26.2
Since I moved to Xcode 26.1 and Xcode 26.2 then, my UI tests all fail only for iOS 26+, for both simulator and real device. Everything worked perfectly with Xcode 26.0, and the code base of the application under test and the test cases are the same. With Xcode 26.0, the tests pass for iOS 26+ and iOS < 26, for both simulator and real device. In addition, even the Accessibility Inspector tool fails to display the view hierarchy for iOS 26+ with Xcode 26.2. With Xcode 26.0, whatever are the devices and the OS versions, the tool was able to display the view hierarchy. Otherwise the tool is empty even if the device and app are selected. This failing tests issue occurs both on my local environment and on GitHub Actions runners, excluding the hypothesis I have troubles with my own side. The error message for failing tests explains the element cannot be found anymore. Note I have on my side macOS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78) and my GitHub Actions runner are on macOS 26.0.1 (25A362). When I used Xcode 26.0 I was on macOS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78) . Any ideas? 🙂

Facing 2 issues: Issue uploading for external testers, and issue in downloading the app for internal testers. Although the app work perfeclty when i build it directly locally to my phone.
Although the application functions correctly when deployed locally to a physical iPhone using Flutter (direct debug/development build via Xcode), we are encountering the following issues only within App Store Connect / TestFlight: 1- Internal Testing Issue: After completing all required steps in App Store Connect and adding internal testers, testers are unable to install the app. TestFlight displays the error: “Could not install app. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.” 2- External Testing Issue: When attempting to add a processed build to an External Testing group (Public Link), App Store Connect returns the following message: “There was an error processing your request. Please try again later.” The build has successfully uploaded and processed, and is marked as Ready to Submit in TestFlight. These issues do not occur during direct device deployment and appear to be isolated to TestFlight / App Store Connect. We would appreciate guidance on how to solve this issue which is preventing TestFlight distribution. *Note: we tried multible builds and upgraded the version 4 times, and we signed all agreements.

DeclaredAgeRange framework and types missing much needed Sendable and Hashable conformance
Like any good developer, I try to add tests where I can. The AgeRangeService.AgeRange type does not provide an initializer. I know the routine, create an interface or a simple struct that I control and use that instead. Thanks to extensive time with frameworks like Core Bluetooth or Core Location, this is a well understood practice (looking at you CBPeripheral...). Great I'll make my own 'AgeRange' struct. Make it Hashable, make it Sendable, use the framework types as properties. Scratch that, most of the properties on AgeRangeService.AgeRange type are not Sendable and many are also not Hashable. This is proving to be challenging. I hope to open source my little Swift Package wrapper library for DeclaredAgeRange which will add types with full Hashable and Sendable conformance. I hope Apple updates the API and makes this obsolete. I don't see why these simple types can't be Hashable and Sendable. They're structs, enums, and OptionSets (structs).
