Comment on Transition from "Mac Catalyst" to "Designed for iPad"
The problem is that Apple is manipulating the search to bypass Mac Catalyst apps in certain circumstances. My app's chess engine just won the World Champion 2026 award for most powerful ... but if you type "Chess" in to the Mac App Store, it bypasses Mac apps and shows iPad apps instead. I therefore have limited visibility which makes developing it further pointless :( NB To reproduce this, open the Mac App Store, search for "Chess", then look what you get back ... IOS apps.

Comment on Mac Store search defaults to IOS Apps devastating Mac Catalyst sales.
They show iPhone IOS chess apps, presumably, because they get a few extra $. I think you would make it a big deal if it halved your income overnight, surely.

Not sure if I put reply in wrong place so I'll repeat here. An example of a Mac App Store search that responds with iPhone/iPad results rather than Mac apps is "Chess".
