Reply to App stuck in "Waiting for Review" since September 4, 2026 – No response despite expedited requests
Sorry to hear about your issues. Unfortunately the App Review team don't monitor these forums. Currently these kinds of delays are normal. The general consensus is that if you're in the queue you will get seen eventually, just stick with it, as opposed to resubmitting which will likely take even longer. Apple don't seem to have capacity to respond to any communication at all currently. They're having some kind of internal meltdown. Typical review timeframes are between about 5-30 days. All the best!

Sorry to hear you're up against it. You're correct that it's inconsistent, but yes there is a broader backlog that's affecting everything. It's been an issue for about 6 months and so far shows no sign of being resolved. Some folks have been waiting 30+ days, others just a few days. I'd suggest putting plans in place now in the expectation that your review won't go through for another week or so.

I disagree. I've seen good advice and conversation on these forums, or at the very least developers getting confirmation of the situation where Apple are silent. While I've also seen a couple of helpful answers from yourself, I've also seen you reply with seemingly deliberately unhelpful reflections usually on entirely unrelated points, or confusing off-topic rants. I've found it hard to tell whether you're being rude or purpose or have no idea that you're doing it. Either way I think you need to get your head around the context that most developers arrive here with. At the point of hitting the forum to ask for advice they're often at the end of a long process that's taken them from an original idea through starting a business and complete app development. If they're posting on this forum they're usually hitting a roadblock right before the finish line and a successful launch. Sometimes they have only partial control over the specifics, or technical choices, for complex reasons that they cannot change. Can you see why at this point it's not helpful to suggest that they make a different app? Or to criticise every aspect of their implementation? Or to quote statistics about how many apps have to be reviewed as some kind of excuse for it taking (in some cases) over a month to get a review? In my opinion what most developers are looking for currently is "I'm sorry to hear how stressful it's been for you, yes review times are extremely long at the moment, no it's nothing specific to you, we're not aware of anything you can do and not hearing from Apple is normal, just stick with it and you will be seen eventually". Compare that to what you've been saying to people and you might see what i'm getting at. And since this is quite a strong take, if I'm totally wrong about any of this or I've completely misunderstood you then you have my apologies, and maybe someone else can weigh in to cool my jets. I just think that in the (in my experience) total absence of any communication from Apple, it's other devs on these forums who need to look out for each other. We are a family of sorts and I wouldn't want anyone to feel like they reach out for help and get told it's all their fault, or be made to feel unwelcome.

I'm sorry about the previous response. On the whole this community is friendly and practical. Yes this is unfortunately how app review process has always worked. When wait times were lower it was less of an issue, but with wait times being as high as 30 days it's become a big problem. My advice would be to stick with the process as opposed to re-submitting. You will be in the queue, it's just very long.

@Etresoft well that would have been useful advice 5 years ago or whenever the OP's system was created or domains were purchased, but is entirely unhelpful now. Sorry to hear this has been a stressful time for you. Unfortunately there seems to be some kind of fundamental problem with the App Review Department at the moment, as you can see from the forums there are a lot of people who've been waiting for several weeks with no movement, so it's likely nothing to do with you - the problem is real. I would suggest presuming the review will not happen for a least another two weeks, and start getting ahead of the fallout now. For context we submitted on the 4th Aug and we're still waiting.

Thank you for posting this. Yes I'm facing a similar issue, specifically also around the 'Account Deletion' option. Of course our app has an account deletion function on the Account Manager page. The reviewer presumably failed to find it (or didn't look) and requested a screen recording demonstrating it working, which we provided the same day. Four days later we received a message saying that the app requires a way for users to delete their account. They've clearly not watched the screen recording we supplied, or followed the original instructions. That was now 9 days ago and we've heard nothing since. I contacted support to make a complaint on the 24th Aug but nothing so far. What are you thinking you will try next? Where do we go from here?

Reply to Words can’t truly explain this.
Just want to say I feel for you! We all seem to be going through something exceptional at the moment, but that's the longest and most frustrating journey I've read so far. As I've said before I think something has recently gone seriously wrong. I just wish at the very minimum they would communicate what is happening.
