I have an App Intent that conforms to ShowsSnippetView and returns a view that is shown in the Siri interface after the shortcut runs. The view simply consists of a VStack with a Text element, with no special styling. When my device is set to dark mode, the view doesn't adapt: the text is black, but the background of the Siri interface is a transparent dark gray, which makes the text almost unreadable. The text should be white in dark mode. The colorScheme environment value inside the view corresponds to light mode, even though the device is set to dark mode. This is most likely a bug in iOS.

After installing the latest version of Xcode (16.3, 16E140), I get many instances of this error when building my app: Error: Multiple parameters detected in phrase. A single phrase can only use a single parameter.
Here is an example of an App Shortcut that is causing this error:
AppShortcut(
intent: SelectModelIntent(),
phrases: [
"Select \(\.$model) in \(.applicationName)",
],
shortTitle: LocalizedStringResource("Select Model", comment: "Title for Shortcut"),
systemImageName: "rectangle.3.group"
)
If I replace the application name parameter with a hard-coded string, I get an error that says I need to have the application name parameter in each phrase. So is it not possible to have any other parameters in a phrase besides the application name? That seems unlikely to me.
I'm getting this error when uploading a build of my macOS app to App Store Connect. It has always worked before, and nothing changed about my use of app groups, and the iOS build uploaded without any problems. Cleaning the build folder and derived data folder doesn't help. I'm using automatically managed signing in Xcode.
Invalid code signing entitlements. Your application bundle’s signature contains code signing entitlements that aren’t supported on macOS. Specifically, the “[group.]” value for the com.apple.security.application-groups key in “.pkg/Payload/.app/Contents/MacOS/” isn’t supported. This value should be a string or an array of strings, where each string is the “group” value or your Team ID, followed by a dot (“.”), followed by the group name. If you're using the “group” prefix, verify that the provisioning profile used to sign the app contains the com.apple.security.application-groups entitlement and its associated value(s).
This post is in response to the information on app groups posted here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/721701
I have a multi-platform (macOS and iOS) app that uses an app group to store the Core Data database, so that extensions and widgets can also access the database.
It seems to be impossible to add an app group in Xcode that doesn't start with group.. When I use the team identifier as detailed here , Xcode prepends group. to the app group identifier.
So far, I've simply been using an app group identifier that looks like this: group.com.example.MyAppName. This has worked on macOS and iOS. However, I noticed that when the app launches on macOS 15, the user is shown a dialog that says " would like to access data from other apps." If the user selects "Don't Allow", the app will crash, since it can't access the Core Data database located in the app group directory.
How can I work around this, considering that this is a multi-platform app, and both the iOS and macOS versions need to store the Core Data database in the app group directory? What is the proper way to configure app groups for multi-platform apps?
I'm trying to test in-app purchases in my app in the sandbox environment. I've purchased a one-time purchase in the app, but no purchases are visible under "Manage Transactions..." in Xcode. Deleting the app from the device as well as deleting the directories ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstoreagent and ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.storekitagent does not remove the purchase from the app. This makes it impossible to fully test purchases in the app.
I have an app that relies on CloudKit notifications for a core feature, but for about a week now the app is not receiving any CloudKit notifications. This follows a week in which I received "status 500" errors from CloudKit and my app was rendered useless. Those errors mysteriously stopped happening, but my app is still hindered by the lack of CloudKit notifications. I have not gotten any response from Apple on this, despite several attempts through various channels. It's not tenable to build apps that users rely on based on a platform that is so unreliable, and for which support is essentially nonexistent.
To any CloudKit developers reading this: Please follow up with me so that I can resolve these issues for my users.
Since a couple days ago, CloudKit database queries in my app and on the CloudKit dashboard fail with the error "request failed with http status code 500". Nothing significant changed in the app recently, and it has otherwise worked well most of the time for more than a year, although CloudKit seems to have outages somewhat frequently. My app is mostly unusable without access to the CloudKit database, so this is a critical issue.
I have also filed a Feedback report (FB13709321) on this issue.
I'm trying to implement passkeys in my multiplatform (iOS/macOS) app, and it works on iOS, but on macOS I get the following errors:
ASAuthorizationController credential request failed with error: Error Domain=com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError Code=1004 "(null)"
Passkey authorization failed. Error: The operation couldn’t be completed. Application with identifier <identifier omitted> is not associated with domain <domain omitted>
The associated domain is correctly configured, since it works on iOS. Adding ?mode=developer also doesn't resolve the problem.
I have an iOS and native macOS app that is configured to receive remote (background) notifications. I've verified that the background notifications are being received on iOS. I'm sending the notifications from my server, and my app also receives CloudKit notifications on iOS. But neither of these is received on macOS.
I've found two recent discussions that indicate that other users are experiencing this problem:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/74868553/apple-push-notifications-arriving-on-macos-but-not-in-the-application-itself
https://github.com/raivo-otp/macos-receiver/issues/15
I'm working on making my iOS app compatible with macOS, and I think I've managed to resolve all the errors, except that when I build my project for macOS, I get the following errors:
Undefined symbols:
Linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
The project builds without problems on iOS. How can I get more insight into the source of the error?
In case it's relevant: I am using this WebRTC package, which should be compatible with macOS.
I'm running this SwiftUI sample app for photos without any modifications except for adding my developer profile, which is necessary to build it. When I tap on the thumbnail to see the photo library (after granting access to my photo library), I see that some of the thumbnails are stuck in a loading state, and when I tap on thumbnails, I only see a low-resolution image (the thumbnail), not the full-resolution image that should load.
In the console I can see this error that occurs when tapping on a thumbnail to see the full-resolution image:
CachedImageManager requestImage error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (PHPhotosErrorDomain error 3164.)
When I make a few modifications necessary to run the app as a native macOS app, all the thumbnails load immediately, and clicking on them reveals the full-resolution images.
I'm using App Attest and the endpoint mentioned here to receive receipts with a fraud metric from Apple on my server. However, I've so far been unable to decode the receipts sent by Apple's server. Can anyone point to an implementation in JavaScript/TypeScript?
In general, it's been very difficult to implement App Attest on the server due to the lack of reference implementations provided by Apple.
My app uses a significant amount of space in a private CloudKit database, and I need to be able to show users how much free space they have. Is there any way to get this value programmatically?
I tried running this demo app in "Designed for iPad" mode on my M3 MacBook Pro, and it crashes with the following errors:

I'm trying to verify attestations from Apple devices on my server, and I'm finding it difficult to implement some of the steps outlined here.
This is the current state of my implementation. I'm stuck on the step where the credCert extension is decoded and compared with the nonce. I'd be grateful for any help anyone can provide.
