I had the same issue. I submitted on September 29th just to get rejected on October 8th which then I fixed the issue right away and resubmitted. Then I was rejected on October 11th and resubmitted again right away. Been sitting in "Waiting for review" since. I am pressed for time myself because my app is a Christmas App and I can't promote something that I don't know when it will be approved/completed.

what did you do to get a response? its been just as long for me and i also put in an expedite request and no response. please let me know.
