Reply to GKLocalPlayer.authenticateHandler not called on iOS 26 when Game Center auth overlay is shown
Hello, any news about this issue? This is still reproducible with the latest iOS 26 Simulator, on both iPhone/iPad, with and without having first logged in to Game Center... the handler isn't called. The related console output is: Could not create endpoint for service name: com.apple.GameOverlayUI.dashboard-service Failed to create GameOverlayUI Dashboard Remote Proxy Authentication (both anew and subsequent) works fine on actual devices. Hello, thank you for your reply — unfortunately the error isn't easily reproducible, otherwise I would've already opened an FB issue... so far, it has only occurred four times, at a distance of a few seconds apart, running on an iPhone 12 mini with iOS 18.1.1. The weird thing is that the .ahap does not contain any sound events — audio is played separately. Should I still open an FB issue, with the .ahap file? Thanks again, D.

I understand this is the textbook definition of "edge case", and something like this is very unlikely to be encountered in the wild — I'm just curious as to why sometimes the main thread blocks even though the related CHHaptcisEngine code does not run on the main thread... Thanks, D.

Update: This appears to be limited to the simulator — a tester reports that the game plays audio correctly with iOS 18 on their devices...
