That seemed to be a one off fix as the problem came back and my 27.2 sims disappeared again. However I think I have found the fix now. Apples cryptex directory has the permissions drwx---r-x root daemonIf your account belongs to daemon, macOS denies it access to the directory. View your user account groups with the command: idor check if your user account belongs to daemon with this command: dscl . -read /Groups/daemon GroupMembershipIf you see your account, remove it from the daemon group with: sudo dseditgroup -o edit -d <your_username> -t user daemonThen reboot.

I found a fix, for me at least. Run this command to see the level of boot security on your mac: system_profiler SPiBridgeDataType | grep -i 'Secure Boot'If it says anything other than Full Security then you need to re-enable Full Security. Mine said Reduced Security. I changed it following this procedure: 1. Shut down your mac completely. 2. Press and hold the power button until you see Loading startup options. 3. Select Options → Continue. 4. Authenticate with an administrator account if prompted. 5. From the menu bar, select Utilities → Startup Security Utility. 6. Select your Macintosh HD and click Security Policy.It seems Reduced Security configuration was interfering with Apple’s cryptex personalisation process.

I had this issue today with an Xcode build on iOS 26.5. A subscription was made, and couldn't be remade, but Transaction.currentEntitlements was empty until I force closed the app and relaunched. I'm going to add some caching using the initial purchase product and not rely on Transaction.currentEntitlements alone.

I can't believe this is still an issue :( Come on Apple, we have test users that cannot test our app.

I found a fix. You can right click an entry in the catalog and select "Mark as Reviewed" and it will then create an en.lproj folder and file. In source code view you can bulk edit "state" : "new" to "state" : "translated" for all English values. On build it will also then remove "extractionState" : "extracted_with_value" from each entry and all strings will be in the en.lprog strings file.

I am also having this issue. All strings are LocalizedStringResource and the catalog correctly has all the English translations. However an en.lproj folder is not create when archived.

I managed to get it working on my Intel MBP. Xcode downloads the Apple Silicon version of codex, but you can replace it with the Universal one (And even a later version). I had codex CLI installed through brew, and it was installed at /usr/local/Caskroom/codex/0.104.0/codex-x86_64-apple-darwin I copied this file to /Users/darrenjones/Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant/Agents/Versions/17C528 and renamed it to codex. Restarted Xcode, and I could now Sign In through the Xcode settings. Restarted Xcode again, and I could even select the new 5.3 model.

Thanks for the tips, however I still can't get it to work. I've installed the codex CLI and successfully logged in. I tried logging out and back in again too. Whenever I open Xcode Settings -> Intelligence -> OpenAI -> Codex It says ChatGPT Account and there is a never ending spinner.

It seems to also be happening with the Claude Agent. I've installed the agent but when I click the ... and then Sign in With a Claude.ai Account, The "Not signed in" label blinks then nothing happens.
