Same experience here. We have physical hardware; they require a video demonstrating all features. Recorded a video on my iPhone; rejected, "you can't use the simulator, and you need to show us your pairing process."
I explained that I was using a real phone, that we don't have a pairing process, and explained that the video did, in fact, include the initial app connection/setup to the device.
You have to wait hours (or days) for replies...only for them to copy-paste the exact same response as before. Even when you meet all of their requirements and ask for clarification, they just keep giving you cryptic messages - it's like the reviewers don't bother to read anything and are just looking for an excuse to reject so they have less work to do.
I wonder how long it'll be till enough developers/companies are fed up enough for a class action lawsuit. We've got bugfixes ready to roll for paying customers but can't get their issues resolved because App Review isn't doing their job.
