thanks, but I was working on a document app and wanted to customize what the user saw when they previewed it in Finder. Ex, a txt shows the content, a png shows an image, and some other apps's project files show the project metadata and sometimes a preview of the file.

The REPL part, yes but it's not the main part of the app. If the user creates a Utility and it has a command like top it'll be stuck
