Were you able to figure this out? I am having the same issue with my standalone WatchOS app. Notification prompt works fine, hit allow, notifications appear when app is in background. But if you ever needed to change that again as a user, enable or disable, the app is nowhere to be found except for under "Show Notifications on Wrist Down". I do see my app there. But that's not what we are asking about.
