New age ratings update

I got a mail telling me developers need to update the age rating for all of their apps. I checked the documentation in the help section, but it seems there is no edit button at the top of the App Information section, nor a way to edit the age questionnaire. Do developers really need to create a new version of all of their apps just to answer 3 new questions on that form? *I'm not sure if I can even edit after uploading a new version as I haven't tried.

Please fix it to be editable or update the information in the help section.

It is also confusing. It says "Action required" in the mail, but App Store Connect notifications seem to suggest Apple will automatically adjust the rating themselves if I do nothing, and doing nothing is fine.

Fields can't be edited at all.

Can here looking for an answer to this as well.

Maybe they'll be editable when os26 is released publicly (not beta) when we can then release 26 versions of our apps to the App Store.

On other sites the developers mentioned you can update the fields only when you submit a new binary .

The fields are editable when the state is "Prepare for submission"

The wording in the email isn't so good

Please provide responses to the updated age rating questions for each of your apps by January 31, 2026, to avoid an interruption when submitting your app updates in App Store Connect.

I have sent a complaint about this to Apple. The email and the App Store Connect banners specifically say that action is required now, but the new questions, though visible, are not editable so no answers can be provided.
