TestFlight builds expired across multiple apps; new builds cannot be installed (“Requested app is not available or doesn’t exist”)

Hi,

I’m experiencing a TestFlight issue affecting multiple apps in my account.

Issue summary:

• Several TestFlight builds across all of my apps expired at the same time.

• After uploading new replacement builds, neither I nor my testers are able to install them.

• Installation fails with the message: “Could not install {App Name}. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.”

• The build shows as processed and available in App Store Connect.

• Testers are already invited and active.

• No redeem code is required.

I am seeing the same issue on my own device as well.

What I’ve tried:

• Uploading new builds (incremented version + build number).

• Confirmed builds are visible and available in App Store Connect.

• Removing and re-adding testers.

• Logging out of the app.

• Deleting the app from the device.

• Restarting the device.

• Reinstalling directly from TestFlight.

• Restarting TestFlight.

Despite this, installation consistently fails with the “requested app is not available or doesn’t exist” error.

Expected behavior:

• New TestFlight builds should be installable once processed and available.

• Testers (and the developer) should be able to install directly from TestFlight.

• Expired builds should not block installation of newly uploaded builds.

Additional context:

• This started immediately after multiple TestFlight builds expired across my apps.

• All affected apps were previously installing and testing without issue.

• Apple Developer Support has been contacted, but I wanted to check whether others are seeing the same behavior or if there is a known workaround.

Has anyone else encountered TestFlight builds becoming unavailable across multiple apps at once, or an install failure after replacing expired builds

@DTS Engineer Having the same issue with my apps. "Could not install [App Name]. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist". Feedback still open: FB24755089.

Pressing Install or Update in TestFlight returns “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.”

Phones and iPads are affected, including devices used by the Account Holder and other internal testers.

Latest build 1.0 (2201) is reported by Apple’s API as VALID, unexpired, and IN_BETA_TESTING.

Earlier builds unexpectedly expired within hours of upload, without us intentionally expiring them.

Signing certificates are unexpired, and the distribution provisioning profile is ACTIVE.

Uploading replacement builds 2101 and 2201 did not resolve installation.

Creating a fresh internal group, explicitly assigning a build, and re-inviting testers also failed to resolve it.

Keychain errors (-34018) appear in TestFlight’s own logs, although their relevance is unclear.

Server logs show the installation request reaching testflight.apple.com/v2/accounts/<redacted>/apps/6811640698/builds/235967294/install and receiving HTTP 404.

Apple’s correlation key for that request is 5G4QSDWXVUZ7RQB77JTJNVZY5Q, recorded on 14 September 2026 at 15:11:01 UTC.

Similar reports mention BETA_CONTRACT_MISSING, but we haven’t confirmed that error for our account; membership is active with no pending agreement notices.

Support from Apple investigating the app/team’s TestFlight delivery and beta-contract records would be appreciated. What further diagnostics would help?

@currently-not-testing Thanks for the post, if you would like to help resolve the issue I would request again to file a bug and add all that information on the filed bug including the sysdiagnose from device.

Once you open the bug report, please post the FB number here for my reference.

Here it is FB24778303 I have the same issue

Same issue on our team since mid-September.

TestFlight installs fail with "The requested app is not available or doesn't exist" for all apps on the account, including a live App Store app.

Builds are valid and not expired, all agreements/tax/banking are Active, App Store downloads work fine. Installs worked in early September.

Hello @DTS Engineer,

We have the same issue since yesterday, after submitting apps for external testing review. Previous builds have been expired, invitations to beta testing include the text "The invitation has been revoked or is invalid. Request a new invitation from the developer". We tried uploading new builds in internal testing mode but installation fails with "The requested app is not available or doesn't exist".

Neither external testing nor internal testing can be used right now.

Same issue on our team, starting Sept 3, 2026. TestFlight installs fail with "The requested app is not available or doesn't exist" for every app on the account, including one live on the App Store.

Builds are VALID and not expired, all agreements/tax/banking are Active, and the Apple Account downloads from the App Store fine. The same builds install over a cable without problems. Last successful TestFlight install: Aug 31, 2026.
