App Stuck in “Waiting for Review” Since February 4, 2026 – No Status Update

Hello everyone,

My app has been in “Waiting for Review” status since February 4, 2026, and there has been no progress or update since then. Normally, my previous submissions were reviewed within a few days, but this time it has been significantly delayed. There are no messages in the Resolution Center, and I have not received any communication from the App Review team.

Has anyone else experienced similar delays recently? Is there anything I can do to follow up or escalate this review?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, my submission has been "Waiting for Review" since February 18th. Not sure what's happening and how to resolve this.

Seems like this is a particularly recurring experience in February 2026. Hopefully they drain the app review backlog soon.

It's possible that there are many more apps now from people out of work because of layoffs, and from people leveraging AI, but from my sleuthing, I saw at least one post showing that a similar backlog seems to have happened back in 2022. But if there are indeed just more apps to review, I hope they set the expectations right, that as a rule it'll now take a month to review. People can live with that if the expectation isn't set to 48 hours.
