Hi all, Posting here after running into the same App Store search autocorrect bug that's been reported a few times in this channel already.
The issue: My app is named "Coriyo." When a user types the exact name into App Store search, it autocorrects/redirects to "correo" instead, and my app doesn't appear in those results. Users who know the app by name can't find it unless they add extra words to the query.
I build ASOScan so I'm biased, but this is a known App Store search behavior rather than something wrong with your listing. Since iOS 14 the store runs its own spell-correction, and when an app name is close to a common word (Coriyo vs correo) it redirects the query to the common one.
The place to actually push on this is Feedback Assistant (choose Developer Tools & Resources, then App Store Connect). Apple's search team is the only side that can adjust the correction for a brand term. It can be slow, some developers have been at it for months, but it's the channel that gets it changed.
In the meantime, the workaround people use is getting users to search "Coriyo app" instead of just Coriyo, since the two-word version usually slips past the autocorrect, or tapping the small "Search for Coriyo" link that appears under the corrected results.
You're not the only one. A few others have run into the same thing. It's on Apple's side, not yours.
