Hi Apple team,

App: DEADGRID Version: 2.0.1 App Apple ID: 6790152649

I'm reaching out in the hope that someone from the App Review team can take a look at my submission or advise whether there's an issue with it.

My app has been in "Waiting for Review" for over a week and has not yet entered the "In Review" stage. I understand review times can vary, but this is significantly longer than what I've experienced previously.

I've done my best to follow all App Store Review Guidelines and have provided complete review notes. As far as I'm aware, there isn't anything unusual about this submission that would explain the delay.

Unfortunately, this update contains a fix for an issue currently affecting my users. While it's waiting to be reviewed, I'm seeing a decline in daily active users and user retention because I'm unable to release the fix.

If someone from Apple is able to check whether my submission is simply waiting in the normal queue or if there's another issue preventing it from being reviewed, I would be very grateful.

I'd also be interested to hear from other developers:

  • Have you experienced similar review delays recently?
  • Is there anything that can help move a submission forward when it's been waiting for this long?
  • Are there any common reasons for an app to remain in "Waiting for Review" for more than a week?

I appreciate the work of the App Review team and understand the volume of submissions you process every day. I'm mainly hoping someone can verify that my submission hasn't become stuck or overlooked.

Yes, I am having this issue too. Is been a week that the app is pending for review stage. I submit email at the support contact and didnt receive any reply.

Same here, I've been waiting for a review for 20 days, I even asked for an expedite review because I have a demo day with investors coming but it didn't work. My app's apple id is 6786024460 in case anyone from apple can help me as well :(

Same situation. I'm guessing that, with the explosion of AI coding platforms, Apple is flooded with products to review. But they really should comment on this situation, because it's really really bad.

Unfortunately, very little. You may just hope some some reviewer will see your post and react…

IMHO asking for expedited review would not change anything.

You could also indicate on your website that the new version of the action game will be available really soon now.

 

Are there any common reasons for an app to remain in "Waiting for Review" for more than a week?

Essentially overload of review team due the the exploding number of submissions (AI generated apps).

Note: you have closed the thread on your own answer. Does that mean the problem is solved (that's what a reviewer who may look at it will conclude, meaning he won't do anything).

They still brag about "90% reviewed within 24h". "sometimes within a week".

Compare it to playstore where it's published within 20 minutes. Im skipping versions now if it's not big enough due to the hazzle of publishing on appstore. Perhaps it's time to automate the process somewhat?

We've also been waiting for review for over a week now. Longest I've ever seen in my life before even getting looked at. I call app review and i'm on hold for two and a half hours before I hear ringing and then hung up on. What in the world is going on over there?

I hope my app isn't held up like this for a week, but I have no idea.

So far it's been about 8 hours.
