15 Days Waiting for App Review – Apple, This Is Unacceptable for Paying Developers

I'm writing this post to express my serious frustration and disappointment with Apple's App Review process.

We submitted our app, Virtual Pro Association, on September 28, 2026. Today is October 13, and after 15 days, our app is still not approved.

Here is the timeline:

September 28: Initial submission. October 6: Apple finally started reviewing our app after approximately 8 days. October 6: The app was rejected. We fixed the reported issues and resubmitted it within approximately one hour. October 13: Seven more days have passed, and our app is still stuck in "Waiting for Review."

We even requested an expedited review, which Apple accepted.

Apple explicitly stated that if our submission was rejected, the corrected version would automatically return to the expedited review queue.

So what exactly does "expedited" mean if we are still waiting after all this time?

We have contacted Apple Developer Support multiple times, but all we receive are generic responses telling us to wait, without any meaningful explanation or estimated timeline.

This is not acceptable.

Behind every application, there are real people working hard. Developers, designers, administrators, and entire teams invest countless hours building, testing, and preparing their products for launch.

We have responsibilities, deadlines, communities waiting for our services, and projects that depend on these releases.

Apple cannot simply leave developers waiting indefinitely without transparency or accountability.

We pay an annual fee to participate in the Apple Developer Program. We understand that app reviews are necessary for security and quality, and we fully support that process.

But paying developers should reasonably expect an efficient review service, clear communication, and predictable procedures.

If Apple's App Review team cannot handle the current volume of submissions, Apple should invest in hiring more reviewers and improving its review infrastructure.

Developers should not have to repeatedly contact support, request expedited reviews, and post on forums just to find out why their applications are sitting in a queue for weeks.

We are not asking Apple to approve applications without reviewing them. We are asking Apple to review them within a reasonable timeframe.

Our app has been tested extensively, the reported issues were corrected immediately, and we have done everything requested of us.

Yet we are still waiting.

15 days. An approved expedited review request. A corrected submission. No meaningful progress.

Apple, developers deserve better.

We need transparency, accountability, and a review process that respects the time and work of the people who build applications for your ecosystem.

How many other developers are experiencing the same situation right now?

I am in the same situation. My timeline is very similar to yours. I find it very frustrating and haven’t been as successful at getting a response from Apple on my inquiries. I feel like I am in a black hole. I’m not sure how I can build any part of my business on this platform.

Yep, same here. Mine has been "in review" for the past 14 days with radio silence. I also submitted for an expedited review about 4 days ago, still nothing. Pretty frustrating...

Me - V1.0 is already in the Store. So, I'm just trying to get my update approved.

Submitted on Sep 29, got a question on Sep 30, which I answered promptly, got rejected yesterday night, Oct 12.

The reason also isn't clear to me:

Got rejected because of missing parental gate, although my app is listed as 18+ and we implemented canMakePayments, then isEligible, then the disclosure sheet. 🤷

(App uses StoreKit External Purchases in the EU)

I added information and a question and now I'm waiting again.

Expedited Review and ticket didn't do anything for me. Didn't even get answers...

I am over 3 weeks of Waiting for Review. I have tried to contact by phone and email with no luck. I have tried to schedule an app review appointment but there are never any available. Beyond frustrated with no help in sight.

I feel your pain. App went IN to review after just 24 hours....great news! Got rejected for EULA link not visible in description. Resubmitted instantly and now 9 days later still waiting for review! Contacted all avenues and expedited but NOTHING :( I planned my launch for the 16th October and thought 12 days would be sufficient. Android review took 3 hours and on app store straight away!

Unfortunately, there is still no update. Today is October 15, and my app is still waiting for review despite the expedited review request being accepted.

I planned to launch Virtual Pro Association at the beginning of October, but that plan has been completely disrupted. The FC Pro Clubs season starts on October 19, and I am still unable to release the iOS app at a crucial moment for my community.

Thankfully, I have a website, otherwise my entire launch would have been compromised. I have spent months developing this platform, preparing everything, and building expectations within the community, only to be left waiting with no meaningful information from Apple.

Honestly, paying $99 per year for the Apple Developer Program and then being unable to publish your app in time is incredibly frustrating. I understand that Apple needs to review applications for security and quality, but developers also deserve reasonable review times and clear communication, especially when an expedited review has been accepted.

What makes this even more frustrating is seeing so many apps on the App Store that seem to violate basic quality standards, while legitimate developers who have invested months of work are left waiting for weeks just to get their applications reviewed.

I have paid for a full year of the Developer Program, and I have already lost a major launch opportunity. Almost two months of that annual subscription period have effectively passed without me being able to use the platform as intended, and I still have no idea when this situation will be resolved.

Apple needs to understand that these delays have real consequences for independent developers and small businesses. We cannot simply postpone seasons, marketing campaigns, partnerships, and commitments to our communities indefinitely.

At this point, I am not asking for special treatment or approval without a proper review. I am asking for a clear update, accountability, and a realistic timeline.

This experience has been extremely disappointing. @digitdash @eisenhauer @onTrakCuesports @RhodesRides93 @seachellemz

Maybe Apple needs to hire more resources than the 500 reviewers they currently have across NA/EU/CN.
