Waiting for Review Megathread

Hi all,
It seems like there are a ton of us stuck in a "Waiting for Review" traffic jam, with Apple providing essentially no information on their end. Immensely frustrating.

Given that, would people be up for posting their time submitted and (once they receive a review) editing to include the time it took? It would be good to get a sense of how long everyone is waiting.

I'll go first:

Submitted: October 8
Status: Waiting for review

I'll update this post when I hear back.

Good idea!

My app is ready for distribution, but my DSA compliance status has been stuck on "In Review" since October 12. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

TEN different requests for assistance submitted via Apple Developer. Each is 2 forms, 1 ticket logged. Still nothing.
This new app was submitted on 16 September.
It was rejected on 23 September.
The appeal with relevant documentation and content was submitted on 29 September.
No feedback has been received since.
Had another app update approved in the interim.

Given that, would people be up for posting their time submitted and (once they receive a review) editing to include the time it took?

Posts can only be updated for 1 hour after creation.

I have one app that's been waiting for review for close to a month, and another for 10 days. Every day is more discouraging.

App submitted for initial review last tuesday. Crickets....
Submitted a email request for feedback. Crickets....
Submitted a request for expedited review. Criickets...

1st app Submitted (Paid app): October 11
Status: Waiting for review (no change till today)

2nd app submitted (Free app): October 19
status: within 24h changes to rejected then now waiting for review

it seems that the free app is much faster or in the normal range.

Mine is still stuck on "waiting for review" for 48 hours straight.
Never thought that apple services are this bad

Mine is stuck in review for 2 weeks allready

Submitted sept 26th; resubmit oct 16th

Status: Waiting for review

got assured that my review process is fine and will be reviewed soonish (days ago). And that this is odd, as review normally takes "24 hours for 90% of submissions" - even more optimistic than the official stats.

Having went to the review process the first time 9 years ago, i know its a long tiring process. but in the age of ai, couldn't you speed it up.

And why, Apple, do you always hand us only breadcrumbs, no transparency, nothing...?

Stuck "In Review" October 19th, macOS app while the iOS and visionOS apps approved in less than forty eight hours.

For others: What is the complexity level of your app?

waiting in september for over three weeks, now waiting since 15 october. Several Support Tickets, not one answer from Apple.....

App „Bolzplatz – Fußball Manager“ (App-ID: 6747684577)

I submitted mine weeks ago and is still stuck "Waiting for Review"...

Same Felix, many support tickets, submitted for expedited when I crossed over the two week mark. My app is simple and free. Zero communication on any front from Apple.

Just got my app approved. Submitted october 8th, approved october 23rd. Good luck all, hope it goes smoothly!

Add me to this list, submitted 9/23 and still not approved

Submitted October 9th, two weeks ago today. I'm beyond disgusted, not just with the wait times but with the stonewalling. This company is worth TRILLIONS and they can't even answer a support ticket? And they've disabled the phone option? Totally unacceptable. I wrote a letter and sent certified mail. Not like they care, but I hope they're doing something about this and this isn't the new norm.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do? Either to light a fire under them or to get some traction personally?

Same on my side I posted my App 10 days ago, asked for expedited review but no answer even no automatic email. My app is stucked in Waiting for review. I think the mimimum would be to inform the developer community about the estimated time it will take to get it reviewed as it's impacting our business as well.

Ours was submitted 10/1 and still waiting for review.

I've been reading through this whole thread, and it's clear we're all stuck in the same place: waiting in the dark with no idea what's going on or when it will end.

Look at what people have posted here. Some submissions go back to mid and late September. Others are from October 1st, 8th, 9th, 11th, and 13th, and they're still sitting at "Waiting for Review." One developer filed ten separate support requests about an appeal and heard nothing back. Others asked for expedited review and didn't even get an automated reply. So far only one person in this thread has reported an approval, and that took about two weeks. That's far off from the "90% of submissions reviewed within 24 hours" figure Apple usually gives.

What bothers me most isn't the delay. Delays happen. Maybe there's a backlog, a staffing issue, a policy change, or a technical problem on their end. Most of us would understand that. The problem is the silence. There's no banner in App Store Connect, no developer news post, no email, no updated wait time, and no answers to support tickets. For a company this size, with a platform millions of developers depend on, that's hard to understand.

For many of us this isn't just an inconvenience. These are launches we've planned for, marketing we've already paid for, customers or clients who are waiting, bug fixes users need, and in some cases our income. When we don't know whether the wait is two days or two months, we can't plan anything. We can't tell our users when to expect an update or decide whether to push a launch date back.

We pay for the Developer Program, follow the guidelines, and build apps that make the platform better. All we're asking for is basic communication:

  • An acknowledgment that review times are longer than normal right now
  • A rough estimate of current wait times, even if it's only approximate
  • Responses to support tickets and expedited review requests, even automated ones confirming they were received
  • A status note in App Store Connect or on the System Status page when review is backed up

That isn't a big ask. A short post from the App Review team would take a lot of the stress and guesswork off everyone in this thread.

To everyone else waiting: keep posting your submission dates and any updates. The more data we put together here, the harder this is to ignore, and the more useful it is for other developers trying to work out what's normal right now. Stay patient and hang in there. Hopefully we all get some answers soon.

update:
Finally the status changes to in review for the 1st app subbmission on 11th oct, then rejected same day, i fixed the issue and now waiting for review, i hope within 24 hours.

the 2nd app was approved yesterday within 48 hours ..

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing the same issue with my first iOS app

First submitted: October 7, 2026
First review feedback: October 8, 2026
Resubmitted: October 12, 2026
Current status: Waiting for Review

It’s now been 16 days since my initial submission, and the latest submission has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 11 days.

Apple previously requested some changes related to the app’s subscriptions and EULA. I addressed all the issues and resubmitted the app on October 12.

I’ve also contacted Apple Developer Support twice, on October 15 and October 19, but haven’t received a response to either request.

Support Case ID: 102997489663

As an independent developer publishing my first app, this is quite frustrating, especially given the complete lack of communication.

I understand that reviews can take longer sometimes, but it would be helpful to know whether there’s a general backlog or something specific holding up my submission.

Has anyone who submitted around October 7–12 received a review yet?

Submitted: September 29th
Couple Rejections which was fixed right away
Status: Waiting for review

submitted an expedite review request each night since October 16th to see if I get an update besides the automated email that they will look into it.

Well, I posted a suggestion here that was reviewed and not approved. Didn't break any rules, either, but was admittedly inconvenient for Apple. So somebody is paying attention to this thread.
