Waiting for Review Megathread

Hi all,
It seems like there are a ton of us stuck in a "Waiting for Review" traffic jam, with Apple providing essentially no information on their end. Immensely frustrating.

Given that, would people be up for posting their time submitted and (once they receive a review) editing to include the time it took? It would be good to get a sense of how long everyone is waiting.

I'll go first:

I'll update this post when I hear back.

Well, I posted a suggestion here that was reviewed and not approved. Didn't break any rules, either, but was admittedly inconvenient for Apple.

I doubt it. Moderation in this forum is pretty rare. Takes them a couple of days to delete blatant spam.

It sounds like you had posted a link to a non-Apple website. That's a forum bug/feature. It doesn't allow using the link tool with a non-Apple link. You can still include non-Apple links. Just paste the link in plain text and it will be converted to a clickable link when you post. That does make sense. Otherwise, people could replace the text on a malicious link with something nice.

Apple is aware of the "waiting for review" problem. I even got a reply in my thread about it. There's a feedback number and everything!

My issues are that 1) these posts clutter up the forum with identical complaints, and 2) there's nothing I can do about it. There are possible fixes in App Store Connect, like an estimated wait time, or a position in queue. There are possible forum fixes, like sticky threads, subscriptions, and private messages. There are possible Developer support fixes, like changing the boilerplate text to reflect reality, or actually replying to questions. But all that takes effort.

At least we have an improved editor window in the forum. Apparently it even supports attachments now?

That’s not true. Our client’s app is completely free, and we submitted it on the 8th. Since then, it has remained stuck in “Waiting for Review,” with no direct or indirect response from Apple.

We’ve sent multiple emails, spoken with different representatives, and even had our expedited review request accepted, yet we’re still waiting with no progress. We check the status every day, hoping for an update.

It’s incredibly frustrating, especially as paid members who expect at least some level of communication and support. Unfortunately, the ball is entirely in Apple’s court, and there’s very little we can do except wait.

I genuinely hope someone from the App Review team sees this, steps in to help shake things up, and gets this submission moving. The prolonged delay and complete lack of communication are disappointing, to say the least.

That’s not true.

@Peace1, what's not true? If you're going to reply to some specific statement, you need to quote it and, ideally, include a user id to have the forum ping the person you're replying to.

I genuinely hope someone from the App Review team sees this

Apple is aware of these threads. But that doesn't necessarily mean that Apple sees any problem that needs fixing.

Now you're talking. That's what this is - a business. It's Apple's business. They're Apple's users, Apple's developers, and Apple's App Store. There is no Developer Bill of Rights. We exist at the pleasure of Apple. The first step in getting control of a situation is understanding it.

If you have clients, you have to remember it's a business for you too. Make sure you factor these issues into your contracts. Apple isn't your problem and you have no control over them. Make sure you get paid regardless.

Submitted 72hrs ago, hoping they review mine soon! They typically don't take this long so I was surprised when day 2 passed, but this is my first time I've submitted a paid app and the diff is pretty big

Same here, my first iOS app (1.0) is stuck in Waiting for Review.

App: ECGsmart – ECG Review

I've contacted App Review via the form and by email, but no response yet.

Could someone please take a look? Thanks.

Been waiting since the 5th. There was a glimmer of hope on the 14th when it finally entered review, only to be immediately rejected because the subtitle had the word "iOS" in it. Now, my subtitle was, i kid you not: "Built for iOS with love". I immediately changed the subtitle, though, but I've been Waiting in Review ever since... now waiting longer since than prior.

This is frustrating. I built this app without any AI, yet it's likely vibecoded apps clogging up the queue and preventing me from moving forward.

Push this thread.

Im waiting in september for over three weeks for only one build. Now waiting since 15 october für Review, several contacs to Apple Support, no answer from Apple.

My ID: 6747684577

Hi, Our iOS game Jumping Jak: Legends of Glitch (Apple ID 6820128919), version 1.0, build 18, was submitted on October 11, 2026, and has been in "Waiting for Review" ever since. It has never moved to "In Review". There are no messages from App Review, and our agreements, tax form and membership are all active. I've sent several expedite requests and multiple support tickets and haven't heard back on any of them.

Could someone from App Review please check whether this submission is stuck or whether anything is missing on our side? Thank you

Thread here about this: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/852829

First submission on 25 Sep, got reviewed on 11 Oct. wait for 17 days.
Second submisson on 15 Oct still waiting for review.

Update: Submitted Oct 9th, just received an approval email (Sunday, 25th). Good luck to all.

The waiting time most of you are posting about isn't even that long. With The amount of AI slop apps that get published daily its no surprise it takes longer. Even 10 Years ago you had to wait around a minimum of ~10 days

So discouraging...Especially when you've been creating content to engage. You can only do that for so long before folks lose interest.

October 17th and thats the 3rd submission after 2 rejections - each one taking close to 10 days. Whole process started on 22nd of September. Been live in the Android store for almost a month now and still trying to get version 1 approved on Apple.

Support emails not answered
Expidite requested and approved but does nothing.

really terrible!

We have several live apps on this account, all in good standing. Our new app (Apple ID 6804023709) was submitted on October 14 and is still "Waiting for Review".

  • Expedite confirmed on October 22, no change since.
  • Status inquiry (case 103002505602) sent on October 20, no reply.
  • Agreements active, no messages from App Review.

Android was approved the same day and is waiting for a joint release. Anyone else seeing this, and has anything helped?

Submitted on October 14th and still waiting for review after 12 days.

I emailed them on October 21st but haven’t received a response.

I sent a follow-up email this morning.

That said, it’s a new app submission in the Health category.

Asked for expedite, contacted through email, not a single response yet.

Multiple phone calls, expedited review requests --- all unanswered and ineffective.

This is a good start to organizing information that we can show to Apple that their service is unacceptable

My app is very basic with no login and no payment, I got the Android version approved within 3 business days.
Now waiting for the IOS app to finally publish both together. Also, I heard that new accounts and new apps are in a different queue than existing apps that are submitted for updates. Is that true?
