Waiting for Review Megathread

Hi all,
It seems like there are a ton of us stuck in a "Waiting for Review" traffic jam, with Apple providing essentially no information on their end. Immensely frustrating.

Given that, would people be up for posting their time submitted and (once they receive a review) editing to include the time it took? It would be good to get a sense of how long everyone is waiting.

I'll go first:

Submitted: October 8
Status: Waiting for review

I'll update this post when I hear back.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with an Escalation Supervisor. I explicitly cited my three Case IDs and stated that I am meticulously documenting this timeline for corporate records and legal counsel, and will take further action if this is not resolved in a timely manner.

The supervisor stated there is no one higher to escalate to on the phones, but promised to communicate my exact statement directly to the App Review team to request an expedited review. If you are stuck, call in, reference your case numbers, and let them know you are documenting everything for counsel.

Will update if the status changes.

Submitted: October 18th
Status: Waiting for review

Submitted on October 1, still waiting for review. I don’t understand why apps submitted after mine have already been approved.

My first app and I am just as frustrated as everyone else.

First submission: 5th Oct, rejection within 2 hrs, manifest related, fixed and requested review within an hour.
4 hours later, rejection, request for a video walkthrough (it’s a Git utility app), which I submitted within a few hours.

15th Oct still nothing, then I noticed a note on App Store Connect saying I needed to accept an updated agreement (uder Business section) and no apps would be reviewed until. Seriously? No email about that? Agreed to the updates and got my next rejection within about 3 hrs - I need to tweak my subtitle.

Did that within the hour; however, after I updated my subtitle, somebody used the test credentials I included for the evaluation (like 2 hrs later, I received a 2FA email) which was odd as the app was, and still is, in awaiting review.

Nothing since, Sent email to support on 19th Oct, no response, no progress, no obvious account or app issues.

First app stuck in Waiting for Review since October 22 — launch next week, expedite request and support follow-ups unanswered

Hello Apple App Review Team,

I'm looking for assistance with my first iOS app, which is still stuck in “Waiting for Review” despite several attempts to resolve the delay.

Timeline:

  • October 9: Original submission.
  • October 12: Submitted a bug-fixed build and provided the demo video requested by App Review.
  • October 12–22: No progress beyond Waiting for Review.
  • October 22: Cancelled the previous submission and submitted a substantially improved build with additional bug fixes and improvements.
  • October 27: The current submission is still Waiting for Review.

I've contacted Apple Developer Support twice through the same support case and have received no substantive response. I've also submitted an expedited review request.

The app integrates with a physical hardware device that reviewers cannot independently pair and use. In response to Apple's request, I supplied a demo video demonstrating the app's functionality.

We are preparing for a market launch next week, and the ongoing delay is putting that launch at risk.

Could someone from App Review please confirm that the submission is correctly queued and help escalate it? I would also appreciate confirmation if anything else is needed from our side.

App Name: Note.ai — Meeting Notes
App bundle ID: dk.odagroup.noteai
Version: 1.6.0

Thank you for your help.

I submitted my app for review around the 15th of October. I got one rejection because of an app crash - the response did not specify any device or conditions for the crash. I still figured it out - it was an iPhone Duo crash (which I thought was supposed to be backwards compatible?) and quickly resubmitted. My app got "In review" status and has been stuck on it for more than a week now. Our clients are starting to get very angry with this and I am filled with immense dread of any further rejections.

My new app has been in "Waiting for Review" for more than two weeks with no status change.

  • 1.0.0, first release
  • Review Submission ID: 287e444a-0b85-4930-a858-07a7e0f6a912
  • Submitted: October 10, 2026
  • Current status: Waiting for Review (17 days)

The submission includes the app version and its in-app purchases. I haven't received any messages or requests for information in App Store Connect, and the status hasn't changed since I submitted.

Seventeen days in the queue with zero feedback ⚠️. : It's far beyond the usual review times, and with no communication at all I can't tell whether something is wrong or what I'm supposed to do. It's blocking the launch completely.

Submitted October 15th, still at Waiting for Review stage. I asked for an expedited review on 21st october. It would be nice if they acknwledging there was a bottleneck or backlog so we can adjust our expectations!

UPDATE: We were reviewed and approved!

Call them, document everything! This forum data shows a breakdown of Apple's process.

Good afternoon everybody,

Submitted: 20 october
Today (27/10): still waiting for review

Good Luck for us!

11 Oct: v1.0 Submitted
24 Oct: v1.0 Rejected
24 Oct: v1.0 Resubmitted (i had to change one word)
27 Oct: v1.0 Approved
27 Oct: v1.1 Submitted
27 Oct: v1.1 Approved (6h later)

Same situation here, with a slightly different twist.

Timeline (KST):

  • Sep 28: submitted an update to an existing live app
  • Sep 30: rejected under Guideline 2.3.1(a) (metadata). Fixed the same day and resubmitted with an expedited review request.
  • Sep 30 – Oct 7: "Waiting for Review"
  • Oct 7: changed to "In Review" and stayed there for 3 weeks with no activity on the demo account provided in the review notes
  • Oct 16: App Review Board replied to my appeal that the 2.3.1 issue was no longer valid and sent the app back to App Review
  • Oct 28: cancelled and resubmitted. Now "Waiting for Review" again.

Developer Support confirmed the "In Review" status and said the review should begin shortly, but there has been no progress. Support replies took about 9 days. Other apps under the same account were reviewed within hours during this period, so it doesn't look like an account-level issue.

Has anyone seen a submission stay "In Review" this long, and did cancelling and resubmitting help?

Wanted to update, my submission from the 13th, just got approved today, a little over 14 days of waiting.

Now to resubmit with the updated version of my app that I have been working on in the meantime.

Best of luck to you all

Existing app update reviewed overnight submitted day before yesterday.

New app waiting for review since 13-Oct...

Adding my experience here as well:

App: BrowseBuddy (iOS, first public release)
Submitted: 14 October 2026
Status as of 28 October: Still “Waiting for Review”

Previous submissions received review feedback within 2–3 days. This resubmission addresses the issue raised during the previous review.

I contacted Developer Support on 19 and 22 October and requested escalation on 25 October, but haven’t received a substantive response.

Has anyone who submitted around 14 October recently moved into review? If Apple staff are following this thread, I’d appreciate confirmation that my submission is correctly queued and whether anything is needed from me.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone else waiting.

XPLAY App (App ID 6761901860), first app on a new individual account. Submission ad5ad6af-46f7-4805-ab18-2921d143c5f3, iOS 1.1.0 build 98: Waiting for Review since 16 Oct after fixing a 2.1(a) rejection. Expedite granted 12 Oct. No reviewer activity since 6 Oct. Details: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/851122

Submitted a new app for review on 7th October. 21 days so far.

No update at all since then. No response to my forum posts or support tickets. This is a dreadful user experience, Apple.

This is my second app, and I submitted its first version (1.0.0) for review on October 21. It has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" ever since, with no status changes or rejections.

The app is completely free, with no in-app purchases or ads.

It's now been 7 days without any progress.

1st version submitted september 30th got rejected for guidelines after 1 day then resubmitted and got reviewed around 7 days after submission got rejected again on october 2nd got reviewed october 13th rejected agian resubmitted october 16th and just got rejected again yesterday and just resubmitted again eventhogh i submitted for an expideited review and i was sent a confirmation that my request was accepted on october 20th and the app was reviewd just yesterday which in all means doesnt match their policy that says 24 to 48 hours even if you submitted in the same second again you need to wait atleast a week they should update what they state on their docs or policy.

Much the same here. I submitted for review on Sept 25. On Oct 12 they reviewed the app and it cleared, but they wanted us to edit a line of text in the App Store description, which was done right away. We had previously set up a video meeting with an Apple team member to help review for anything else. They cleared us, but asked us to resubmit to trigger the review team to take another look, even though the app cleared. It has now been two weeks and nothing!!!!!!

Adding a data point: new iOS app with a first subscription group (four auto-renewables).

Oct 15: Submitted v1.0
Oct 16: flagged by automated review for 3.1.2 (missing EULA link), fixed in metadata and resubmitted the same morning.
Since then: "Waiting for Review" since Oct 16, now 13 days, with no Resolution Center messages or emails.

I understand the App Review team is likely overwhelmed with submissions, so trying to be patient and continuing to work on enhancements for a future version.

Yes Apple, use your vast resources to show queue wait times. Not just mean/median but 5th percentile and 95th percentile. If you send me the raw data, I'll make a script for it even. Let me know what language. :)

it's been 10 days for me. i submitted my 2 apps on Oct 19.

it's been 10 days since my last reply for Apple's tiny remarks.
The transparency here is a must

Submission ID: 98255ad0-3c23-4707-bfa3-c8995ba488fa, submitted October 6th.

  • The app got reviewed on October 16th. All app features reviewed went fine this time, but I got some wrong setting on data permission (I claimed I was sharing data, while I was not, and not asking ATT --> I removed the "Sharing data" claim in metadata) on October 16th
  • The app got re-reviewed on October 16th, but then the subscriptions metadata were missing a EULA terms indication in metadata --> resubmitted on October 17th

I have now been waiting in review since October 17th (13 days today) for someone to check that my metadata is properly including the Terms now.
