Hi,
Somebody knows how to decode / decrypt emvData on Apple Pay e-commerce when paymentDataType=EMV?
Thanks.

Hello!
We are using "Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API"
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepaywebmerchantregistrationapi
Recently we successfully updated the Payment/identity certificates at our main merchant ID
And we have a few questions:
Do we need make the Domain verification for all of our sub-merchants again after the Certificates update?
How we can check the expiration of domain verification of merchants that we integrate trough API endpoint (https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant), and do verified domains via API have an expiration date???
How we can understand does the our universal domain verification file (apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association) have expiration too?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You're here because you've had issues with your implementation of In-App Provisioning Extensions for Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a new report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below with the appropriate log profiles installed.
Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues
While troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification, it is essential that the issuer is able to collect logs on their device and check those logs for error message. This is also essential when reporting issues to Apple. To gather the required data for your own debugging as well as reporting issues, please perform the following steps on the test device:
Install the Apple Pay and Wallet profiles on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2.
Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video.
Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS.
Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information:
The bundle IDs
App bundle ID
Non-UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable)
UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable)
The serial number of the device.
For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > Serial Number (tap and hold to copy).
For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Serial Number.
The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string.
For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy).
For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > System Report > NVMExpress > Serial Number.
The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue.
The timestamp (including timezone) of when the issue was reproduced.
The type of provisioning failure (e.g., error at Terms & Conditions, error when adding a card, etc.)
The issuer/network/country of the provisioned card (e.g., Mastercard – US)
Last 4 digits of the FPAN
Last 4 digits of the DPAN (if available)
Was this test initiated from the Issuer App? (e.g., yes or no)
The type of environment (e.g., sandbox or production)
Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional).
Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or bundle ID of your app or app extensions in the Console app.
Submitting your feedback
Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay client.
After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your client, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug.
Cheers,

Is there a way to make a subscription's auto-renewal fail in sandbox environment?
Currently, I see no such options (screenshot)

I am writing regarding an issue I have encountered while attempting to complete a payment using test users created within the Sandbox environment of Apple Pay. The problem persists specifically when trying to make payments through the demo page at https://applepaydemo.apple.com/.
Problem Description:
When initiating a payment process with either of the following test user accounts.
The flow proceeds as follows:
The Apple Pay window appears correctly.
Processing begins but does not conclude successfully.
After processing concludes, there is no prompt for 'Pay with Touch ID'.
Additional Information:
Device & OS Version: MacOS 15.3.2
Browser & Version: Safari 18.3.1
Real Device or Simulator: Real device used
First Occurrence: Before January 1st, 2025
Custom Configurations or Backend Used: No custom configurations or backend modifications are being utilized during interaction with the demo page.
Could you please provide assistance in resolving this issue?
We are trying to develop a coupon/offer code module where our app users can avail a free trail offer for 2 months period after applying the code. We already had a subscription module with monthly & yearly subscriptions with 7 day free trial period. Now, we want to implement a offer/coupon module, where, a user can either select monthly or yearly subscription, and upon entering the offer/coupon code, they will get 2 months free trial (or) a discount on the chosen subscription. (this will overwrite the existing 7 day free trial).
We are confused on choosing the type of “offer/coupon” from AppStore connect. In App Store connect, we have introductory offers, promotional offer & Offer codes. Based on our requirements, we have done research and found that we cannot implement the offer code & promotional codes in the develop environment as there is no possibility to test in Sandbox environment. We observed that we need to push the app to App store and upon approval, we need to implement “offer/coupon” module.
Can some one please suggest or guide us on choosing the best solution for our requirement?
Thanks in advance.

I am facing an issue with Apple Pay js while doing the integration
we are using reference
https://applepaydemo.apple.com/apple-pay-js-api
In this I can generate the merchantSession correctly
But when I pass that merchantSession in
session.completeMerchantValidation(merchantValidation) as per documentation
It is getting failed and also no appropriate error is being shown in the console
Basic information: The issuer has implemented the feature to active Apple Card via URL Verification. The feature implemented by issuer is supported both in the APP and Clips. When Apple queries the activation method from UnionPay, UnionPay returns the "URL" activation method to Apple. Additionally, the apple-app-site-association file has been correctly deployed, and the configuration for Universal Links has been completed. Both the APP and Clips have undergone testing for Universal Link calls.
The desired experiece is that when the APP is installed, Apple Wallet launches the APP, and the user completes the activation within the APP, and if the APP is not installed, Apple Wallet calls Clips, and the user completes the activation in Clips.
Problem description: Under iOS 17 and iOS 18, when triggering Apple Pay card activation, the APP or Clips can be called as expected, and the activation can be completed well. However, Under iOS 26, regardless of whether the APP is installed, under the same circumstances, an internal browser within Apple Wallet opens to access the H5 page corresponding to the URL, instead of redirecting to the APP or Clips. Please assist in confirming whether this is a new feature of iOS 26 and how the same user experience can be achieved.
Hi, we are implementing ID&V and there is a requirement regarding the flow for Apple Pay.
In order to clarify the case I will describe the use case scenario or steps to reproduce first:
add a card to the iPhone wallet app (yellow path verification required). Do not complete the ID&V process.
add a card to the Watch via the Wallet inside the iPhone Watch app (yellow path verification required). Same as before, do not complete the ID&V
complete ID&V process using the Issuer App either from iPhone or Watch.
the Issuer app receives the application:openURL:options: callback on its AppDelegate. In the options dictionary, we can not see the UIApplicationOpenURLOptionsSourceApplicationKey populated (it is nil).
At this moment, for the card we are adding there are now two tokens, both to be verified via ID&V process. One is on the iPhone and one is on the Apple Watch associated with the same iPhone.
The url received at step 4 contains the serial number which identifies the digitized card and matches with both the tokens in the iPhone and in the Apple Watch.
We need something to detect programmatically if the digitization process started from the iPhone Wallet app or from the wallet inside the Watch app.
Could you please help us to identify how we could discriminate if the ID&V process has been started for the iPhone token or for the Apple Watch token?
Thanks
What am I missing in my checking for whether or not to offer Apple Pay on my website?
<script async crossorigin
src="https://applepay.cdn-apple.com/jsapi/v1.1.0/apple-pay-sdk.js"
></script>
...
<style>
apple-pay-button {
display: none;
}
</style>
...
<apple-pay-button buttonstyle="black" type="plain" locale="en-US" onclick="startApplePay('${APPLE_PAY_MERCHANT_ID}','${paymentForm.amount}');"></apple-pay-button>
So, the button is not displayed by default. I only change the style to displayed if:
window.onload = function() {
if (isApplePaySupported()) {
document.querySelector("apple-pay-button").style.display = "inline-block";
};
}
function isApplePaySupported() {
return (window.PaymentRequest &&
window.ApplePaySession &&
ApplePaySession.canMakePayments() &&
ApplePaySession.supportsVersion(applePayVersion));
}
Yet, once in a while a click comes through that tries to create a PaymentRequest with
const applePayMethod = {
"supportedMethods": "https://apple.com/apple-pay",
"data": {
"version": applePayVersion,
"merchantIdentifier": merchantIdentifier,
"merchantCapabilities": [
"supports3DS"
],
"supportedNetworks": [
"amex",
"discover",
"masterCard",
"visa"
],
"countryCode": "US"
}
};
and results in:
NotSupportedError, The payment method is not supported
What else might be "not supported" in the request for this particular user/device/wallet? In particular, that could be known immediately when the PaymentRequest is created, but before any payment instrument from the wallet is selected?
And, is there anything I could detect before showing the button?
Or, is it even possible for the button to be clicked by some kind of automation, even if it's not displayed?
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaypaymentrequest/3955945-multitokencontexts
According to this document, I know that I can initialize a multiTokenContexts when initializing ApplePayPaymentRequest.
But I am now facing a tricky problem. If the user's order does not require multiTokenContexts, then I will not initialize this field when I first make ApplePayPaymentRequest. When the user is in the payment process, I may update multiTokenContexts. But this time, the update is not allowed, ApplePay will be cancelled and the payment will be closed.
For example, if the user's address in Apple Pay is different, I need to update multiTokenContexts to support the payment of goods to multiple merchants, which will generate an update of multiTokenContexts. MultiTokenContexts can be updated in the onshippingcontactselected method.
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaysession/1778009-onshippingcontactselected
My question is that from the beginning, there was no multiTokenContexts to update multiTokenContexts in onshippingcontactselected, which would cause the user to close the payment and need to manually click to pay again.
This user experience is not very friendly. Is there a better way for me to go from no multiTokenContexts to multiTokenContexts without interrupting the user's payment process?
I'm currently integrating Apple Pay with my payment provider, and I'm encountering a signature validation error during the payment flow.
Here's the setup:
I’ve verified that my Merchant Certificate is valid, and I'm able to initialize the Apple Pay session without any issues. Also this curl works fine
The Payment Processing Certificate was created by my PSP.
PSP claims that the payment token signature is invalid during the transaction phase, which prevents payment completion.
The parsed signature starts like this
0:d=0 hl=2 l=inf cons: SEQUENCE
2:d=1 hl=2 l= 9 prim: OBJECT :pkcs7-signedData
13:d=1 hl=2 l=inf cons: cont [ 0 ]

87:d=6 hl=2 l= 122 cons: SEQUENCE
89:d=7 hl=2 l= 46 cons: SET

93:d=9 hl=2 l= 3 prim: OBJECT :commonName
98:d=9 hl=2 l= 37 prim: UTF8STRING :Apple Application Integration CA - G3
I'm looking for guidance on what could be causing this signature failure.
Does anyone know what else I can check regarding the merchant or payment processing certificates, private keys, or key usage that might cause Apple Pay signature validation to fail, even if the session initializes successfully? Domains are also verified.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cybersource production support has clarified issue as below
"On the BAD Case, it seems that the Apple Payload did not contain the "onlinePaymentCryptogram" object within the JSON. The Cryptogram is critical and mandatory.
Since the merchant cannot really control this, and since CYBS is just decrypting the payload and uses it, we cannot comment as to why it was missing.
The merchant would need to reach out to Apple and/or decrypt the payment themselves locally to check if and why this data was not present, for troubleshooting purposes."
Hi, I’ve been trying to integrate Apple Pay, but for some reason, the payment button is not showing up.
The project is built with Laravel 11 and Vue. I imported the script as follows:
<script crossorigin crossorigin
src="https://applepay.cdn-apple.com/jsapi/1.latest/apple-pay-sdk.js"
></script>
Then I added the following the steps:
<style>
apple-pay-button {{
--apple-pay-button-width: --apple-pay-button-width: 150px;;
--apple-pay-button-height: --apple-pay-button-height: 30px;;
--apple-pay-button-border-radius: --apple-pay-button-border-radius: 3px;;
--apple-pay-button-padding: --apple-pay-button-padding: 0px 0px;;
--apple-pay-button-box-sizing: border-box;
}
</style>
<apple-pay-button buttonstyle="black" type="plain" locale="en-US"></apple-pay-button>
I followed all the steps from the official Apple Pay demo:
https://applepaydemo.apple.com/
I also configured the Content Security Policy (CSP) to allow all necessary resources. However, when I test my integration, the button doesn’t appear. I’ve checked the console, but there are no errors.
At the same time, I have my certificate imported into the Keychain, and I’ve completed the entire process of creating both the certificate and the private key. However, when I try to validate the session using the certificate and key with Apple’s API, I get an error:
400 The SSL certificate error
https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/
I am working on implementing merchant token notifications. When calling this endpoint https://developer.apple.com/documentation/merchanttokennotificationservices/merchant-token-event-retrieval, the result contains a CardMetadata object with an expirationDate field (see https://developer.apple.com/documentation/merchanttokennotificationservices/cardmetadata). What is the format of this field? The spec only mentions that it has a maximum length of 8 characters.
To perform the integration, it must be done under the same domain that has been validated. Is it not possible to do it in a local environment?
Could that be the reason why I can't display the button or complete the validation with the API?
We have a checkout page on which clients can configure the providers we've integrated with for each currency.
One such provider is Stripe, with which we have already integrated ApplePay and host a merchant domain association file.
Now, we're getting requests to support ApplePay with other providers.
The issue is that we can't tell Apple to use a different path to domain association file for domain verification.
And, replacing the existing domain association file seems like a hack, since I believe it's needed for domain re-verification.
We're thinking of using subdomains for serving the domain association files for different providers.
But, we have some questions on how ApplePay domain verification works to understand how we can solve our problem.
Firstly, can we use subdomains for individual domain verification? If we already have example.com verified with Stripe, can we serve the domain association file for the other provider with provider.example.com and have the verification work?
Secondly, let's say our domain is example.com, and we can use provider.example.com to serve the domain association file and verify the domain. Then on example.com/checkout, will using an iframe with provider.example.com/applepay to host the ApplePay button work?
This thread suggests otherwise, but we want to confirm.
Lastly, is the only way to make an ApplePay payment for provider.example.com to use that subdomain? So redirecting to provider.example.com/applepay would work?
Thanks for your help!
On Applepay's docs it talks about the ability to do "flexible" payments and scheduling for future purchases. We need to be able to make only a single approval of an Apple payment for multiple submissions later on. Think, deferred payments at an arbitrary schedule without presenting the ApplePay dialog each and every time.
The docs suggest that may be possible, but are maddeningly vague on how to do that. Is it possible or not? Can we store an approved merchant's token for example and leverage that for future transactions?

Apple Pay
Hi team at Apple, here is a scenario we came across:
The order of priority of payment methods in Apple Wallet follows:
Credit
Debit
Apple Cash
Our app displays a payment sheet that excludes credit cards. Instead of a debit card, the default payment option shown to the user on the payment sheet is Apple Cash.
Is this a known issue or have we configured something wrong in our end?
During the development of our 3D game project, we encountered high memory usage requirements. To address this, we enabled Apple’s Extended Virtual Addressing (EVA) and Increased Memory Limit services.
We have confirmed that both services were enabled in the developer backend as well as in Xcode, and we also used updated development and distribution certificates when building the app. However, in our validation process, it seems that EVA and Increased Memory Limit are not taking effect — the game still experiences memory overflow and crashes.
Could you please advise:
The correct steps to properly use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit;
How we can confirm whether these services are functioning as expected?
