On iOS 26 beta 3, after a user purchases an item, initiating a second order for the same product fails to process payment. The system returns the same transaction ID and displays an interface message stating: "You've already purchased this In-App Purchase. It will be restored for free."
I’ve tested this – not only did the legacy StoreKit finishTransaction method fail to work, but StoreKit2 finish method also malfunctioned.
When will Apple fix this issue? If unresolved, it will prevent a large number of users from making purchases normally, leading to disastrous consequences.

We have some users who have upgraded to iOS 26 beta3. Currently, we observe that when these users make in-app purchases, our code calls [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]; method, and we clearly receive the successful removal callback in the delegate method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue removedTransactions:(NSArray<SKPaymentTransaction *> *)transactions. However, when users click on products with the same productId again, the method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue updatedTransactions:(NSArray *)transactions still returns information about previously removed transactions, preventing users from making further in-app purchases.
Hello everyone,
For example, our app currently has one subscription group in App Store Connect with 5 plans (2 annual, 2 monthly, and 1 quarterly). By default, users can go into Apple Subscriptions in Settings and freely switch between all of these plans.
However, our business requirement is to only allow users to stay on one annual plan and one quarterly plan. We don’t want them to switch to the other plans.
My questions are:
Is there any best practice or recommended approach to restrict subscription switching within the same group?
Would removing the unwanted products from sale be the correct approach, or are there any risks/downsides with this method?
Has anyone faced a similar situation and found a practical solution?
Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey guys,
This is a general question, but I have been working on an app for a while and I would like to to introduce IAP to the app. I have no clue where to start and chat GPT is no help. I also tried to vibe coding the IAP function and that didn't work out well. Any material or advice would help.

Hello,
Our server isn't receiving Apple App Store Server Notification for in-app purchases.
It works for Sandbox Server, even I sent a test notification which I received on the Production Server URL, but the real in-app payment notification isn't coming to the server.
I checked this already: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreservernotifications/enabling-app-store-server-notifications and everything here has been reviewed.
Transport Layer Security (TLS) version and others things mentioned have been checked, test notification was received. But the main in-app purchase notification for live transaction isn't coming. What's the issue precisely?

My apps stuck on review stage. Reason of it is
Guideline 2.3.2 - Performance - Accurate Metadata
We noticed that your promotional image to be displayed on the App Store does not sufficiently represent the associated promoted in-app purchase. Specifically, we found the following issue with your promotional image: – Your promotional image is the same as your app’s icon.
The problem is i can't change this image. My subscription is still in 'in review' stage and I don't have option like delete image or change image. I replied to the review explaining that I cannot change it as long as the subscription is under review, but I haven’t received any meaningful reply, except that I need to change promotion image to be eligible for further review(which i cant do because i haven't option to change this image). Has anyone had such a problem before?
The sample code provided in https://developer.apple.com/wwdc21/10114 doesn't appear to call finish() on unverified transactions, and I haven't been able to find any documentation regarding what to do with unfinished transactions. However, Apple has always emphasized the importance of finishing transactions, and since a transaction object is provided even with the unverified state, I'd love some guidance!
After game restart first purchase is contained in receipt but the next ones is the same as first one so new purchases is not added. I afraid players can be charged for purchase but on my server I will not receive new purchases instead receipt with old one so they can do not receive in game currency. Will in production I receive a receipts with new consumable every time player purchase it? I use Unity3d In-app purchasing 5.0.1.

Hi everyone,
I am working on a Unity iOS app. I am adding in-app purchasing in my app. I have added Unity IAP to the Unity project, as well as the code for initialising and purchasing a subscription with the product ID. I have also added my certificates and provisioning profile in Xcode with in-app purchasing capabilities. Also, I have set up an App Store Connect page with a non-renewing subscription with a unique product ID and all required information. The subscription status is ready to submit. I have added a sandbox tester account in it. In unity editor, it is working fine with fake purchase receipt.
While testing in an iOS device, apple ID is logged out. But there is an error occurs everytime : IAP not initialized.
Also I have uploaded a newer version of app on app store connect, it is in waiting for review status.
Is there any step or something I am missing that it is not working in iOS device?
Please help

Hi,
I'm using the AppTransaction.shared API to retrieve the originalAppVersion, but I'm encountering issues for users who originally installed the app in 2017. Specifically, the property doesn't seem to return the expected value (or returns nil) for these older accounts.
I have verified this issue using a real App Store purchase from 2017.
Steps to Reproduce:
Use a test account that originally downloaded the app in 2017.
Call:
let shared = try await AppTransaction.shared
print(shared.originalAppVersion)
Observe that originalAppVersion is missing or not returned correctly.
Any insights on whether this is expected behavior for very old App Store purchases, or if there is a workaround to reliably detect the original app version?
Thanks in advance!
I am working on a banking application (includes iPhone and iPad) which includes add to wallet feature.
During the implementation I saw one document it is mentioned that for iPad app, the app must be extended to support Apple pay functionality.
Details from document says "Card Issuers with an iOS mobile banking app must support Card Issuer iOS Wallet extension functionality to enable Card issuer mobile app customers to provision new cards directly from the iOS Wallet app with all eligible Apple iOS devices. If the Card Issuer has a dedicated iPad App, that App must be extended to support Apple Pay functionality. "
Is wallet extension implementation required for Apple pay to work in iPhone and iPad?
Is wallet extension a mandatory implementation for Add to Apple Wallet feature to work and approved by Apple?
I am little confused in this.
Anyone who integrated Apple pay or done add to Apple Wallet feature recently without wallet extension faced any rejection?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hello, I have 2 subscription group. Each group have different plans and promotional offer. I was set 1 month free promotional offer in all plans. While I subscribe any plan IAP sheet is not showing 1 month free promotional offer. I already used with new sandbox account. How can I get promotional offer in IAP sheet?
I have three questions about verify receipt
I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently)
I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server?
I try to use this (https://github.com/apple/app-store-server-library-java) to get TransactionInfo, but I dont konw to get Transaction status to know is success or not.
my java server code :
AppStoreServerAPIClient client = new AppStoreServerAPIClient(encodedKey, keyId, issuerId, bundleId, environment); TransactionInfoResponse response = client.getTransactionInfo(transactionId);
(bug i can note get transaction status, how do i konw this Transaction is success or not)
Our application is currently under review, and we are still facing issues because we receive a 401 Unauthorized response from the App Store Connect API when using the production environment.
Our app integrates with Chargebee for subscription management, and in production, Chargebee is unable to authenticate with the App Store Server API. This results in a 401 Unauthorized error, preventing the user’s subscription from being synced correctly into our system. Interestingly, the same configuration works in the sandbox environment, but fails in production.
We’ve tried authenticating using JWTs generated from multiple keys (including App Store Connect API / Team Keys with both Admin and App Manager access, and also In-App Purchase keys), all with the same result — sandbox access works, production does not.
Here is our example code for testing with JWT token:
const jwt = require('jsonwebtoken');
const fs = require('fs');
const https = require('https');
const config = {
keyId: '<key_id>',
issuerId: 'issuer_id',
bundleId: 'bundle_id',
privateKey: fs.readFileSync('path_to_key')
};
const { keyId, issuerId, bundleId, privateKey } = config;
const now = Math.floor(Date.now() / 1000);
const jwtToken = jwt.sign(
{
iss: issuerId,
iat: now,
exp: now + 60 * 10, // 10 minutes is fine for test
aud: 'appstoreconnect-v1',
bid: bundleId
},
privateKey,
{
algorithm: 'ES256',
header: {
alg: 'ES256',
kid: keyId,
typ: 'JWT'
}
}
);
console.log('Generated JWT:\n', jwtToken);
// prod
const originalTransactionId = '<prod_transaction_id>';
const hostname = 'api.storekit.itunes.apple.com';
// sandbox
// const originalTransactionId = '<sandbox_transaction_id>';
// const hostname = 'api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com'
const options = {
hostname,
port: 443,
path: `/inApps/v1/history/${originalTransactionId}`,
method: 'GET',
headers: {
Authorization: `Bearer ${jwtToken}`,
'Content-Type': 'application/json',
},
};
const callAppStoreConnectApi = async () => {
const req = https.request(options, (res) => {
console.log(`\nStatus Code: ${res.statusCode}`);
let data = '';
res.on('data', (chunk) => {
data += chunk;
});
res.on('end', () => {
console.log('Response Body:\n', data || '[Empty]');
});
});
req.on('error', (e) => {
console.error('Request Error:', e);
});
req.end();
};
callAppStoreConnectApi();
With this code, we were able to authenticate successfully in the sandbox environment, but not in production.
I read in this discussion: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/711801 that the issue was resolved once the app was published to the App Store, but I haven’t found any official documentation confirming this.
Does anyone know what the issue could be?

App Store Connect API
While reviewing the Apple Documentation, I came across a potential issue in one of the examples that I believe is worth addressing.
The example appears to compare strings instead of integers, which could lead to unexpected behavior in production environments. Specifically, in the line where originalMajorVersion (a string) is compared with newBusinessModelMajorVersion (also a string) using <:
if originalMajorVersion < newBusinessModelMajorVersion
This comparison performs a lexicographical check rather than evaluating the numerical values of the strings. As a result, strings like "10" would incorrectly be considered less than "2", which is not the desired behaviour when comparing version numbers.
I have reported this via the Feedback assistant (FB16432337) but at the time of posting this there has been no reply at all (23 days)
Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction
do {
// Get the appTransaction.
let shared = try await AppTransaction.shared
if case .verified(let appTransaction) = shared {
// Hard-code the major version number in which the app's business model changed.
let newBusinessModelMajorVersion = "2"
// Get the major version number of the version the customer originally purchased.
let versionComponents = appTransaction.originalAppVersion.split(separator: ".")
let originalMajorVersion = versionComponents[0]
if originalMajorVersion < newBusinessModelMajorVersion {
// This customer purchased the app before the business model changed.
// Deliver content that they're entitled to based on their app purchase.
}
else {
// This customer purchased the app after the business model changed.
}
}
}
catch {
// Handle errors.
}

I'm developing storekitV2, my app is providing the way to refund some product, and I use method below.
func beginRefundRequest(in scene: UIWindowScene) async throws -> Transaction.RefundRequestStatus
however when i call the method, the modal view presented but the view shows error with message 'cannot connect'. when I select retry button, something done with indicator and get same result.
how can I solve this problem?
I try to call Get Transaction Info from App Store Server API, and the transactionId is for a Non-consumable type product, but it is odd that there are so many different transactionId and they have a same originalTransactionId
{
"bundleId": "${bundleId}",
"environment": "Production",
"inAppOwnershipType": "PURCHASED",
"originalPurchaseDate": 1691220528000,
"originalTransactionId": "${originalTransactionId}",
"productId": "${productId}",
"purchaseDate": 1691220528000,
"quantity": 1,
"signedDate": 1692590989925,
"storefront": "USA",
"storefrontId": "143441",
"transactionId": "${originalTransactionId}",
"transactionReason": "PURCHASE",
"type": "Non-Consumable"
}
the defination of Non-Consumable is can only purchase once for same apple account. But why there would have originalTransactionId?

Strange issue with currency display in subscription products
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a strange issue in my app where I use a subscription-based in-app purchase model.
The products I created in App Store Connect are all in "Approved" status.
I've tested with both RevenueCat and StoreKit, but the result is the same.
Here are the products being loaded:
Product loaded: weekly_product_id
Display name: Weekly Pro
Description: Weekly Pro Subscription
Price: ₺229,99
Product loaded: annual_product_id
Display name: Annual Pro
Description: Annual Pro Subscription
Price: ₺1.799,99
Even though I can see the correct prices and currency (Turkish Lira) in the Xcode debug console, on my real device the currency appears as Philippine Peso, as shown in the attached screenshot.
Interestingly, in the iOS simulator, it's displayed in USD.
I've double-checked and my device's region settings are set to Turkey.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? And more importantly, how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I have a simple prototype subscription for a recurring monthly for $0.29 cheap!
And it works great!
But it only works great at sub time. It's stuck in the sandbox, constantly giving me "currently subscribed" status even though I’ve done a bunch of things:
Force-quit the app.
Deleted and re-installed it.
Rebooted my phone.
Signed out of media purchases.
Looked on AppStore connect to try to find anything that seems like it’d let me fix this
All efforts in vain.
I'm trying to avoid fully logging out of my iCloud account on my phone. Any other thoughts?
