Web View Not Working in MDM ABM Enrollment for Apple TV
During MDM Automated Device Enrollment of Apple TV, the web view defined by configuration_web_url is not working. We are using the web view to display the usage policy for all devices. While the web view functions correctly for other devices, it is resulting in an error specifically for Apple TV. Could you please clarify whether Apple plans to implement support for this feature on Apple TV in the future or if it will not be supported? Problems deploying enterprise app (ASDErrorDomain error 854)
We are experiencing a lot of problems deploying an enterprise app for in-house use since late January. All our iPads are managed by an MDM solution. It can take 10 or more attempts to successfully deploy the app. The deployment usually fails with the message "ASDErrorDomain error 854" among other messages. The company providing the MDM solution has no idea what causes this message or what it means. I suspect the error message is not generated by the MDM solutiion but rather gets passed through from iOS. After many attempts the installation may succeed suddenly, though, and the apps works as expected, but this may take weeks. I have not done any changes to my development system. 'I am running XCode 15.3 with SDK version 17.4, the iPads are on iOS 18.3

Kernel Panic: SEP Panic (SKS) Triggered by MDM Clear Passcode on iOS 18.3.2 (iPhone 12 Pro)
Hello Developers, We are encountering a consistent Kernel Panic issue on an iPhone device after sending a "Clear Passcode" command via our MDM solution. We're looking for insights or confirmation if others have experienced similar behavior. Device & Environment Details: Device: iPhone13,2 (iPhone 12 Pro) OS Version: iPhone OS 18.3.2 (Build 22D82) (Please note this appears to be a future/beta build identifier) Action Triggering Panic: Sending MDM ClearPasscode command. Roots Installed: 0 (Device is not jailbroken) Incident ID: 4B41C0AE-EE93-4051-BEE4-AB98438C10F0 Panic Log Summary: The kernel panic log clearly indicates the issue originates from the Secure Enclave Processor (SEP). The key panic string is: panic(cpu 3 caller 0xfffffff02357bc1c): SEP Panic: :sks /sks : 0x1000b15fc 0x0003ad60 0x0003ad44 0x100028698 0x10002cae4 0x10002a908 0x10002bc10 0x100045330 [hgggrhlvs] Panic app vers: 1827.80.10 Panic app UUID: 4C066E88-EB93-33C3-BCA7-C5F5474831CC ... The SEP Panic and reference to :sks /sks strongly suggest an issue within the Secure Key Store subsystem of the SEP. The panic occurred on CPU core 3. The kernel backtrace points to the com.apple.driver.AppleSEPManager kernel extension as the immediate caller in the main kernel that initiated the panic process after receiving the signal from the SEP. Analysis/Interpretation: Based on the log, it appears that the MDM ClearPasscode command, which necessarily interacts with the SEP's Secure Key Store via the AppleSEPManager driver, triggered an internal fault or bug within the SEP firmware (AppleSEPOS). This SEP-level panic subsequently caused the main iOS kernel to panic. Questions: Has anyone else encountered similar SEP panics, specifically involving the SKS subsystem, particularly after issuing MDM commands like ClearPasscode on iOS 18.x builds (especially 18.3.2 / 22D82)? Is this a known issue in this specific iOS/SEP firmware version? Are there any suggested workarounds for clearing passcodes via MDM on affected devices/OS versions, or any further diagnostic steps recommended? [iOS 26.1 beta 2] allowCamera restriction not working properly on both supervised and BYOD devices
Details: Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max System: iOS 26.1 beta 2 Issue Description: When testing MDM device restriction capabilities on iOS 26.1 beta 2, I found that the allowCamera restriction does not work as expected. Observed Behavior: • On a BYOD device: When allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps disappear from the Home Screen, as expected. However, third-party apps (such as WeChat) can still access the camera and take photos. • On earlier versions (e.g. iOS 26.0.1): Setting allowCamera to false correctly blocks all apps, including third-party apps, from accessing the camera. Initially, I assumed Apple might have changed this restriction behavior so that allowCamera only applies to supervised devices. However, after testing on supervised devices, I found that even there, when allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps are hidden, but third-party apps can still use the camera. This indicates that the restriction is not functioning correctly in iOS 26.1 beta 2. Expectation: When allowCamera is set to false, all camera access — including third-party apps — should be blocked. Request: Could someone from Apple’s development or MDM team confirm whether this is an expected behavior change or a potential bug in iOS 26.1 beta 2?

Stop an in-house app by revoking it's certificate?
I'm hoping to make certain in-house apps fail to launch by revoking the in-house certificate that they were built on. This is by way of encouraging users of these apps to download updates built on a new certificate. How long will it take app built on a now-revoked certificate to no longer launch? Also, what is Apple's process for checking the validity of an in-house certificate in an app built on that certificate, running on iOS devices? I understand that provisioning profiles have built-in expiration dates, but will an in-house app that's built on a valid provisioning profile keep running even on a revoked certificate if the revocation happened before the certificate's own expiration date? Force-renew Enterprise Provisioning Profiles of iOS Distribution Managed Certs?
Last year I used the iOS Distribution Managed Certificate (Enterprise Program) to sign an App and to distribute it internally. The Cert is still valid until May 2026. But its associated Provisiong Profile (which is not visible in the Apple Portal, but within Xcode when you export your archive) expired last week. Until then it was impossible for me to somehow force renew the profile and that lead to the fact that my app was not usable for a day, because the renewal was done after the expiration of the old one. Whats the whole point of the managed signing if can't influence the provisioning update. To be clear: I don't speak about the certificate - just about the profile. Or am I using it wrong?

How to get APP that has already been listed outside of mainland China listed in mainland China
Hello all, My question is, how to get APP (specialized in make SOPs for industrial users) that has already been listed outside of mainland China to be listed on apple store of mainland China? Can I simply refile it to cover China mainland with existing apple developer account or do I have to create a new local apple developer account to start the listing process? We’re looking for best practices to remotely update iOS apps that are deployed in Single App Mode (SAM) or Autonomous Single App Mode (ASAM), managed through MDM. Imagine a typical use case: an iPad installed as a self-service kiosk at an airport restaurant. We need to update the app periodically without: Displaying any prompts to the user Relying on the user to approve or initiate the update (since the device is unattended) Sending technicians onsite, as many devices are in remote locations MDM providers have stated, “This is how Apple handles it,” without offering a workable solution. In the RequestRequiresNetworkTether property, the definition of “network-tethered” is unclear, and there seems to be a discrepancy between the actual behavior and the description in the documentation. We would like to clarify the definition of the connection state that “network-tethered” means and the specific behavior requirements when the property is set to true. Explanation of the document The description “If true, the device must be network-tethered to run the command. I was not sure whether it refers to “network connection” or “tethered communication” as the Japanese translation. Actual operation verification results The error message was “The device is not tethered. (MDMErrorDomain:12081)”. Error occurs when only carrier communication is used The following connection conditions work normally (as in the case of false) Wifi communication Combination of carrier communication and Wifi communication Tethering communication Combination of carrier communication and tethering communication Tethering connection (both parent and child devices) Inconsistencies Although the document description could be interpreted as a simple network connection requirement, actual operation is limited only to carrier communications alone Error message uses language regarding tethering, but actual tethering connection works fine

MDM - Command to identify Not now state
Hi Team, As per this documentation Handling NotNow Status Responses | Apple Developer Documentation, the last command that is delivered to the device on a connection should be the one that the device reported NotNow so that the device will automatically retry when it is ready to consume commands. Our question is it possible to have a fixed command which we can try at the end once all commands are tried and if device has reported NotNow for any of the commands. E.g. If there were 3 commands delivered to the device one by one SSO profile (com.apple.sso ) was delivered and device reported NotNow VPN profile (com.apple.vpn.managed) was delivered and the device reported NotNow DeviceInformation command was delivered and the device reported Acknowledged. As there were NotNow responses earlier, can we try a certificate profile(com.apple.security.pkcs1), with a dummy certificate payload, to ensure that the last command delivered to the device in this connection is responded with NotNow. Questions: Can we use a fixed command e.g. certificate profile(com.apple.security.pkcs1) as in above example to ensure the last command delivered to the device has NotNow response. Or is it better to try one of the commands which the device reported NotNow earlier. As in above example should we try the SSO or VPN profile at step 4 instead of the certificate profile? Following up to above, when a device reports NotNow for any profile installation command, can we say it will always report NotNow for certificate profile(com.apple.security.pkcs1) as well for all iOS and MacOS devices?

No prompt/notification on device when using ABM/ASM MDM migration deadline in iOS 26
I'm are attempting to use the device management migration feature in Apple Business Manager / Apple School Manager (for devices running iOS 26 / iPadOS 26) to re-assign managed devices from one MDM server to another. We followed the published procedure (select device(s) → Assign Device Management → Set deadline → Continue). However, we are observing that on the device side, no notification or prompt appears to the user (such as “Enrollment Required” or “Your organization requires this device to enroll in a different device management service”), even after the migration deadline has passed. Here are the environment details: Device OS version: (iOS 26.1) Device ownership: enrolled via Automated Device Enrollment MDM re-assignment in ABM: old MDM server(name: https://dev5.clomo.com/panel/mackey-dev/ ) → new MDM server (name: https://obliging-bunny-equally.ngrok-free.app/ ) Deadline set: (12/10/2025 12:00 AM) Network connectivity: confirmed online at deadline time We would like to know: Under what exact conditions will the device display the notification/prompt, and what common mis-configurations prevent it from appearing? Is there any device log or activity indicator in ABM/ASM to confirm that the migration instruction has been sent to the device? In cases where the prompt does not appear, what troubleshooting steps can we perform on the device (or in the MDM/ABM configuration) to correct it?
