Hello all, I have an application that uses broadcast extension of Replay kit to record the entire screen and mic sound to a file on iOS. Up until some months ago, everything was smooth. Currently I am facing the following issue. If another app uses the microphone, then I loose the sound and never comes back. In order to debug this issue I have added a log to the processSampleBuffer, that logs a text each time it receives a .audioMic buffer type. I start the recording and everything works as expected. Later on, I go onto an app that uses microphone, and then I do not get any log for audioMic. I stop the recording on that app, but the sound never comes back. This as a result makes my video file to not have any sound at all. In the above context I also noticed that even with Photos app broadcast extension, if you start recording a video, and you go to Speech to text feature of the keyboard, then the sound is joined. While the STT is on, there is no sound and the sound of whatever comes after STT stops is joined to the sound before the STT starts, so I guess that this is something general. Also on the same research I did, I saw that google Meet app does not allow any microphone to be used from another app while you are in a meet (Even the STT is grayed out). I would like to know my options here. What can I do to have a valid video file with sound? How can I not allow other apps to use the microphone while my app is recording? Is there any entitlement? How does Google Meet do that? P.S. I have added an observer to observe the interruptions for the session and the type .began runs, but the type .ended does not, so I can not actually set the AVAudioSession to active again.

Context I work for an automotive company and I'm currently looking for Apple CarPlay certification guidelines. We're in the process of installing a multimedia system in a vehicle. The most viable solution would be to use the multimedia unit and microphone provided by our supplier, but with a custom wiring harness developed by our company to simplify the installation process. The multimedia unit, microphone, and the supplier’s harness are already certified for CarPlay. Question Would using our company’s custom wiring harness affect the existing CarPlay certification of the supplier’s product? Any information, contact, or suggestion on where I could find official guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I have an iPhone 14 running iOS 26 Beta 2 that I wanted to start using Personal Voice on. It allowed me to complete the recordings and start the process, however even with the phone charging and locked the process hangs. It is connected to WiFi and cellular while attempting to run. It is connected to a 20W apple charger with an offical cable. I have a sneaking feeling it's related to me running the iOS beta on this device. Hi all, First time poster :) I am interested to understand if it is possible to set a notification alert within an application. I am building an application on internet connectivity health but want users to be able to choose a time when the notification is audible or silent. (appreciate you can set the device to a status where notifications are silenced) Within the application if they choose to be alerted to critical alerts, I would like them to be able to choose a time period when the alerts should be silent or when they should be audible. Who wants alert on your internet at 2am when Maintenace windows open up? Cheers Dan

Hi, I’m experiencing a serious keyboard lag issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.4. When playing games in Roblox, if I try to type in the in-game chat using the default iOS keyboard, the typing becomes extremely laggy and drops a lot of frames. However, if I turn on Low Power Mode, the issue disappears completely, and typing becomes smooth again. This suggests that the problem may be related to background optimization or system performance handling in iOS 18.4. Open Roblox and start any game with chat input and Try typing in the chat box using the iOS keyboard than Observe serious lag and frame drops and Enable Low Power Mode.The lag disappears instantly. • iPhone 15 Pro Max • iOS version: 18.4 • Keyboard: Default iOS keyboard • Issue only occurs when Low Power Mode is OFF Please investigate this behavior. Hello, I have a question regarding the ethernet-over-USB-C stack within iOS/iPadOS. It seems that when manually assigning an IP on this interface within iOS, the IP is stored. Therefore, when disconnecting (the USB-C cable) and reconnecting to another device for a subsequent ethernet connection, the iOS device will always default to the previously assigned IP address (obviously, this isn't the case if the other end is a DHCP server). So, within the iPhone's Ethernet-over-USB-C driver, I was curious if iOS just keeps the assignment based on the MAC of the local USB-C interface, or is stored information tied to some other identifier? Is there a way to override this behavior? Thank you

Installed the iOS 26 Beta on my iPhone 13 Pro last night, hated it. I wasn't aware that there is a supported way of restoring back to iOS18.5, so I (foolishly) opted to flash the iOS18.5 ispw file onto my device using a 3rd party tool. Now, my device is stuck in a state between. Unable to flash, unable to use itunes to restore, randomly gives error codes during restoration attempts. Worries my device may be lost permanently! Please advise.

My airpods seem to disconnect during phone calls but work fine when i hang up. Ive tried restarting them and disconnecting and reconnecting them. I’ve disconnected all other bluetooth options. Any help would be appreciate.

The last couple of days ago, I tried to taste iOS 26. It’s a really awesome experience as an iOS user. But there were some issues that appeared when I was playing the games. So I downgraded to iOS 18.5. My phone is 13, and I checked my model number and downloaded 18.5 firmware from Apple user's well-known website and carefully making the downgrading process. After hours later I already got back 18.5, and I confess, the user experience is very different between iOS 26 and 18.5. The main problem is there, when I make phone calls with my friends and I notice my recent call history is empty. So I try to fix it the ways from YouTube videos. It doesn’t work. I tried to change the region and restart my phone. It doesn’t work, and I tried to syns with iCloud also doesn’t work. If you are facing an issue like mine, please kindly share the experience and how to fix it! Kindly see the attached photos. The notification appears as shown, but when I check the recent calls, there is no data available.

Is it normal to wait a month and a half with no resolution to an account issue? I paid for a membership years ago and never used it. Recently, I've wanted to get a developer account again but there is a problem when I try to Enroll. It tells me "You cannot enroll at this time". I created a support ticket and have been checking in every couple weeks. They just keep saying they haven't heard anything. The lack of support is dissappointing.

While on ios26 beta2 i changed my battery for an aftermarket one. Phone cannot be charged anymore, battery status 1%. So it reboots. had to replace oem battery to make local backup, to revert to ios18. and have aftermarket battery to work again.
