Currently running 15.5 Beta 3 on a Mac Studio M4. I am unable to read/write to my Home folder from most of my applications. I receive an error basically saying I do not have access rights to the file/folder. If I go to the file directly and open it, it works. I have repaired disk permissions, checked the Sharing & Permissions settings via Get Info, and finally called Apple. Of course, since I am running the beta, the support was quite limited. I will add that I am also unable to open .dmgs that have been downloaded to my Downloads folder. I receive the "The disk image couldn’t be opened. The operation couldn’t be completed. Operation not permitted" error. If I copy the .dmg to another drive, I can open it from there.

I updated my Macbook Pro this week, macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 and now the Password app isn't working. When I log into my regularly saved sites, and I click user name, the Password app login modal pops up, but when I click it, NOTHING happens. If I manually type in my user name (which was unnecessary prior to the recent update), then SOMETIMES I get the fingerprint, but most times I don't. I am using the Chrome browser. I have attached a screenshot of the typical issue I experience.

Can anyone tell me why "Classroom (System Settings)" is running on my Mac? I found this post, but the author never fully explained what was going on: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/734270 Clicking on "inspect" tells me it was launched by launchd.

I can't use the app because I haven't received any email and I don't know what the invitation code is. Will I receive it at some point or how can I receive it?

i have a specific requirement as below. i have apartments in which i have 4 units and each unit will be of same layout. furniture etc.. might change but not walls and layout as far as i know. Step1: Now i will enter into one unit, scan the entire unit and save it using RoomPlan Api and at the end of the scan i will be saving the worldmap as well. Step2: i want to use the previously saved worldmap and enter into another unit and want to relocalize with only walls because the furniture might be different. is that possible. if not is there any otherway to achieve this functionality? i really appreciate you valuable time. as title suggests i want to reset adID on my iphone

Back in December 2024 I noticed when I go through the steps to print I would get an error to cancel or retry. We have 4 iPhones and 3 had the newest IOS and those 3 would get the same error. The phone that had old ios 17 something the print would work. Called Apple and did troubleshooting, the opened something on apples end for the developer to investigate. Within 2 weeks a new ios was available and fixed the issue on the 3 phones that could not print. I did the latest update February and March 2025 on all 4 phones thinking no way the issue will happen again and if did all 4 phone cannot print. Is there an iOS bug that is affecting printing ios 18.3.2.

I just realized thaty I had signed up for this developer account some time ago without making any meaningful attempt to introduce myself other than attending a few of the Apple meetups at NeurIPS and ICML conferences. As a quick introduction I come from a background in open source development, most notably associated with the "Automunge" python library for dataframe encodings / missing data infill. I also have some background supporting Apple in context of volunteering as an executive officer for an IEEE Standards Association working group developing floating point arithmetic / data types for machine learning. Beyond that have been a dedicated user with frequent product feedback to various channels over the years. I am currently self employed and focussing on building an IP portfolio and investing. my app was kicked off the App Store because it needed updating. i have now done that and it is ready for TestFlight. before I uploaded it, I had look around the App Store to see if there were any similar apps and I found one which just looks like it’s pinched the ideas about how it works-it’s uniqueness claiming to be the first of its kind and who it is aimed at Its not exactly the sameseems silly similar to mine as I was reading the text seemed similar to mine. it’s not exactly the same but the principle of it the idea of the way it works is definitely the same as mine. I couldn’t look at the code because it didn’t seem to be open source software databases. it is not free to download but I didn’t want to buy it. Is there a way of finding out more about its. Function and ti see / compare the code to see if there is infringement or a violation.

Hi Everyone, I’m currently working on a flow where a web page redirects to our app to perform certain actions, and then returns the user back to the browser. However, on iOS, the only way to go back to the browser is by using the openURL method. The issue is that this method can only open the browser app itself—it can’t control which tab or page is shown, so the user doesn’t return to the original tab they came from. The same limitation also applies to Android. Furthermore, iOS doesn’t allow an app to programmatically return to the previous app (in this case, the browser). While Android doesn’t have an official way either, in some cases, the OS automatically returns to the previous app when ours is closed. I’d like to ask: Is there any known method or workaround that allows returning from my app back to Safari (or the default browser) and restoring the previously active web page or tab? Or, is there any way to programmatically return to the previous app from within my app? Thanks in advance for your support!

I am trying to connect to a google worksheet with a service account and have added the GoogleAPIClientForRest (Drive and Sheets) and GTMSessionFetcher (Core) dependencies to my project. I'm running into issues with iOS respecting the HTTP 410 "Gone" response type. Setup: Using the native iOS Calendar app, add a new subscription calendar. "Add Subscription Calendar" Add the URL of a ICS calendar subscription that you control, e.g. https://mywebsite.com/userfeeds/23/cal.ics Make sure to select the "Account" option and choose "On My iPhone/iPad". Set the query amount to 15 mins. Calendar events show as expected, device queries the latest updates from the server every 15 minutes. Server returns HTTP 200 with the .ics contents. Now, assume there is a need for the feed to end - maybe the user unsubscribed to mywebsite.com. There is currently no way for the mywebsite.com server / response to tell the device the feed has ended and it should stop requesting. If the user forgets to go to calendar and manually unsubscribe the device will continually ping the server every 15 minutes indefinitely. It's turning into a virtual DoS for my platform. iOS should respect the HTTP 410 "Gone" header or something similar. If the server returns a HTTP 410 response code for https://mywebsite.com/userfeeds/23/cal.ics X amount of times, the feed should be automatically removed. I've opened several tickets over the last 3 years and have not even had a status change on the tickets. Does anyone know how to resolve this or a work around?

The issue appears to be that after uninstalling a hidden app and reinstalling it, the system fails to restore the app's URL Scheme functionality.
