Looking to start developing at Swift. What is the best way to get started with a job related to Swift development? Is there any specific demanded certification I could pursue?
Thank you.

I’m trying to register an Apple Developer Account for my company. I uploaded all the required documents, but my initial application was rejected, and I was asked to provide notarized translations of my documents. I translated them and submitted everything for review on April 1.
After a week without a response, I contacted Apple Support. They replied that the documents had been received and were under review. However, as of today, April 24, my account is still under review. I’ve sent five follow-up emails to Support asking for a status update on my case, but I haven’t received any replies.
Has anyone faced a similar situation and could suggest what I can do to get a status update and finally complete the registration?
If anyone from Apple Support is reading this, my case number is 20000098634973 and my Enrollment ID is J34432JQFC.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi everyone,
We are developing an app, Video Tradie, which operates as a marketplace platform connecting customers with independent tradespeople for consultations. The app facilitates scheduling, communication, and payments but does not directly provide any services—our role is strictly as a facilitator.
For payment processing, we are currently integrating Stripe to handle invoicing, payment splits to tradespeople, and detailed reporting features that are essential to our business model.
However, we want to ensure compliance with Apple’s App Store guidelines, particularly regarding:
Digital Services vs. Physical Services: Since the app facilitates consultations (virtual services), would it fall under Apple’s in-app purchase requirements, or could it qualify for exemptions, similar to apps facilitating physical services?
Stripe Integration: If we continue using Stripe for payments, are we allowed to remit Apple’s 15% commission (under the Small Business Programme) while not using Apple’s payment infrastructure?
Marketplace Positioning: Does positioning our app as a marketplace rather than a direct service provider exempt us from using Apple’s in-app payment system?
Alternative Billing Options: If operating in regions like the EU or South Korea, where alternative billing is permitted, are there specific steps we need to follow to comply?
We are seeking clarification to ensure we develop the app in a way that aligns with Apple’s expectations. If anyone has experience with similar setups or advice on communicating with Apple during the submission process, I’d greatly appreciate your input!
Thank you!
Hi Everyone,
I’m currently working on a flow where a web page redirects to our app to perform certain actions, and then returns the user back to the browser. However, on iOS, the only way to go back to the browser is by using the openURL method. The issue is that this method can only open the browser app itself—it can’t control which tab or page is shown, so the user doesn’t return to the original tab they came from. The same limitation also applies to Android.
Furthermore, iOS doesn’t allow an app to programmatically return to the previous app (in this case, the browser). While Android doesn’t have an official way either, in some cases, the OS automatically returns to the previous app when ours is closed.
I’d like to ask:
Is there any known method or workaround that allows returning from my app back to Safari (or the default browser) and restoring the previously active web page or tab?
Or, is there any way to programmatically return to the previous app from within my app?
Thanks in advance for your support!
Hello,
I am currently working on integrating Meta Audience Network (Meta) with Google AdMob using bidding mediation for an iOS app. The goal is to show ads through meta , with AdMob acting as the mediation layer.
I have successfully set up both the Meta SDK and Google AdMob SDK, as well as the GoogleMobileAdsMediationFacebook adapter. My AdMob and Meta accounts are both linked for mediation, and I have configured the correct placement IDs for Meta within AdMob.
Currently i am creating a demo project with demo accounts i haven't added app live link as my app isn't on AppStore and haven't added any payment method.
However, I am encountering a couple of issues and need some guidance:
1. Test Ads Work, but Real Ad Unit Fails:
• When using test AdMob ad unit IDs, everything works fine, and ads are shown as expected.
• But when I use my original AdMob ad unit ID, I get the error: “Publisher data not found.”
• Does this mean my app is not fully set up or is there something else I might be missing in my configuration?
• Is it necessary to go live on the App Store to get ads from the real ad unit, even for testing purposes?
2. Meta Ads via Bidding Mediation:
• I have integrated Meta through AdMob’s bidding mediation system.
But i am showing ads using GADBannerView is it right way to show meta ads that are mediated with google admob. If i have to show ads with FBAdView from where to get withBidPayload value for this function
adView.loadAd(withBidPayload: "what_here")
3. Payment Method Requirements:
• My app is still in the demo/testing phase and is not live on the App Store. I have not added any payment methods in either AdMob or Meta.
• Is it necessary to add a payment method for testing purposes, or is this only required when I start monetizing and going live?
I would appreciate any advice or pointers to ensure the setup is correct and to understand why the original ad unit ID isn’t working during testing.
Thank you for your time and assistance!
Hello all.
I am currently developing a database app of particular products for people who collect this item. Let's say model airplanes. People can look at their list of model airplanes and also see a collection of airplanes by model companies.
I want to offer a link from a product in my app to a local retailer's website who sells this product on their website. Not just their base site, but directly to the products page. Meaning each product in my database will have a unique link to an external product page. This could also include links to Ebay or Amazon if local retailer doesn't sell the product.
Is this sort of feature allowed inside App Store Apps as technically it's not an in-app purchase? I do see some vague answers around but none that target this specific circumstance.
Thankyou in advance.

I have updated my ipad 7th gen to ipados18.3 Beta last week and I realized that there is no sound at all no sound from speakers and no sound from bluetooth devices and no sound from airplay, I've checked google and reddit and alot of research people told me its a software bug, i submitted a bug report and now im still waiting for a bug fix update, youtube dosent work neither spotify aswell their UI stops working when i try to use it, So how long do i have to wait for a bug fix? Thanks apple.
Based a quick research, comfort and fit, noise cancellation issues and durability seems to be the most consistent issues with pilot headsets. I wouldn’t say there is a problem here, because you can easily throw out the faulty headset and spend another $1000 on a new one. However, what if apple can profit by introducing their version of pilot headsets? Besides, most airlines use Apple iPads for Navigation, crew scheduling etc. Make it a one stop shop. Apple already has the framework for music headsets, why not use it as a base for pilot headsets? Disrupt an already stagnant market and give pilots a great alternative. Tap into the interests of a new generation of pilots again most which already uses Apple products. Come up with a new fresh look of ‘pilot comms.’ A good idea is to pitch to the GA (general aviation) industry maybe include Apple headsets with the purchase of a new aircraft.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to edit the bootps.plist which is in the system / library directory. I have an M4 MacBook running OS 15.3.2 and I've held down the power button to go into recovery mode, and in terminal entered the 'csrutil disable' command and have restarted but when I go back to 'get info - Sharing & Permissions' I can't change any of the permissions. I need to be able to edit this file to create DHCP server.
How can I change edit permissions on the bootps.plist?

I have implemented subscription renewals in my app and now want to integrate a referral system. Each user should receive a unique referral code that they can share with others. When a new user signs up using a referral code, both the referrer and the referred user should receive a bonus.
What is the best approach to implementing this feature efficiently?
I discovered an issue where older Intel Macs (like my 2017 MacBook) enrolled in the macOS Sequoia Public Beta do not receive Ventura security updates, even though Sequoia is not compatible with the hardware.
My system said “macOS is up to date” while stuck on Ventura 13.7.1, but after switching to the Ventura Public Beta channel, it immediately showed a new update available.
This seems like a serious flaw—Apple should warn users or fall back to compatible OS versions when an enrolled beta is unsupported.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could be a widespread issue for Intel Mac users still relying on Ventura.
Is there some public git repo hosting "https://developer.apple.com/documentation"?

Hello, I have iOS 18.4 beta, where can I see the energy consumption, by Matter 1.3?, in Apple Home application?, I see it is in beta, thanks Michal.
I have tried everything. Different addresses, different credit cards, then it appears pending, but the credit card is never charged and then it "resets", meaning I can do the whole process again as if nothing had happened. I have already sent an email to Apple and I have not had a response either. How can I move forward? Some help. Greetings!
Created an ios app and try to scan for nearby bluetooth devices but didn't manage to find my Macbook (M1 Pro, Sequoia).
How can it be done?
Trying to match the peripheral name but didn't get it.
The purpose of this is to try to see if the App can act as a FIDO2 Token to have the close proximity feature.
After connecting to a Passpoint network on macOS, the SSID field is displayed as empty.
Bugs ?
Passpoint connections are established and function correctly, with network communication unimpeded. However, a display issue where the SSID field is blank is present on macOS versions 13 through 15 inclusive. This issue persists even when utilizing connection profiles created with Apple Configurator.
Help me. Thks

Hello,
i just noticed that when i download an app through the App Store on my iPhone, the app i downloaded does not appear on my home screen or in the App Library.
is there any work around for me to make them appear at least in the App Library?
the only way to open or to place an app on my home screen I downloaded after upgrading to iOS 18.4 Beta 3 is to search for it in Spotlight or in the App Store.
Any apps I downloaded before upgrading to iOS 18.4 Beta 3 is still on my home screen or in the App Library.
i am currently running iOS 18.4 Beta 3 on an iPhone 16 Pro

I have been reviewing the documentation on preparing your app to be the default messaging app, and I am wondering about the following:
If I set my app as the default messaging app, will it be able to send and receive legacy SMS messages?
Does iOS provide any SMS-specific framework or APIs to facilitate handling SMS messages directly within my app?
I’d appreciate any clarification on whether iOS supports such functionality and, if so, how to integrate it into my app.
Thank you!
