I am using GoogleMobileAds package dependencies and now when I want to archive and export an app I get this two warnings :
Upload Symbols Failed
The archive did not include a dSYM for the GoogleMobileAds.framework with the UUIDs [13B55A37-D103-36E1-8D7B-FA4EAB2C8146]. Ensure that the archive's dSYM folder includes a DWARF file for GoogleMobileAds.framework with the expected UUIDs.

I have updated the packages to 11.9.0 (lasted) and Xcode 16 to 16 RC (lasted also) and I would like to know how to fix this... With Xcode 15 I have no problem !! I can export with no warnings ! But now with Xcode 16 no... Thanks for helping !

I work on an SDK, and one of the ways we distribute it is as a pre-compiled static XCFramework.
As far as I know, it’s the nature of a static framework to not contain symbols since the framework will be embedded in the final app binary, and the symbols should then be generated.
However, when testing the "Validate" function of the Xcode 16 deployment process, our users are receiving a warning that says the framework does not contain symbols.
Is my assumption about static frameworks and symbols incorrect? Could this be a bug in Xcode 16? Should we modify something in our framework to inform Xcode that symbols are not needed?
I'm seeing a lot of unexpected CPU usage when running the iOS 26.1 simulator. Looks like a "MercuryPosterExtension" is crashing over and over, which then causes the "ReportCrash" process to run, presumably to create the crash report.
Doesn't happen on device, nor on iOS 26.0 simulator. I suspect MercuryPoster is related to wallpaper. I also don't see any wallpaper background in my simulator.

I can‘t use breakpoints on the simulator after updating Xcode and the simulator. I can use breakpoints on a physical iPhone. I tired to download other iOS simulator version, but still not working. Both SwiftUI and UIKit not working.

I have installed Sequoia and Xcode 16 and now I can't add packages to my (or any project). I just get a message saying the package can't be resolved. Basically I can't carry on developing.
SORT THIS OUT APPLE
Hey Apple Team!
We recently updated to Xcode 16 and saw a massive memory spike, which caused "Out of memory" Mac warnings in the final stages of our app's build process.
We noticed that the process responsible for this is "EmbeddedBinaryValidationUtility" (see screenshot).
Is there a workaround to limit its memory usage? This is causing significant anguish for our developers.
I am experiencing an issue where my Mac's speakers will crackle and pop when running an app on the Simulator or even when previewing SwiftUI with Live Preview.
I am using a 16" MacBook Pro (i9) and I'm running Xcode 12.2 on Big Sur (11.0.1).
Killing coreaudiod temporarily fixes the problem however this is not much of a solution.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I updated Xcode and MacOS recently and haven't been able to compile my Flutter app on iOS devices/simulators since then. The error keeps changing every time I run it but here's one of the output in the terminal after running flutter run:

What I have tried so far:
Deleting iOS SDK and simulators
Cleaning Xcode build cache using cmd+shift+k
Creating a new Flutter project and trying to compile it (it failed so that reduces the chances of it being a Flutter issue)
Clearing the DerivedData folder
Clearing settings and cache of simulators
Restarting laptop
Versions:
Xcode: 16.0
iOS: 18.0
MacOS: 15.1 (didn't work with 15.0 either)
Flutter: 3.24

After updated to Tahoe 26.2 and Xcode 26.2 it seems to have forgotten the Model Provider I had configured. I create a new Model Provider and it works fine, until I exit Xcode. When I open Xcode again my Model Provider is gone.
It all worked fine before I did the updates of MacOS and Xcode.
Totally noob programmer here, forgive me if this is a basic user error. But there seems to be a mismatch between my apple id identifier and my team identifier. It has been automatically configured, and worked until today, but while trying to run a new app on my iphone i all of a sudden got "Failed to install embedded profile for com.kylland.formattingtest : 0xe800801a (This provisioning profile does not have a valid signature (or it has a valid, but untrusted signature).)".
Now it does not work on any apps. Went through what chatgpt had to give me, trying to log in and out, made sure automatic signing is enabled and tried to delete the key from keychain. Still comes up with two different keys.
I'm trying to run my app on my iPhone and XCode is unable to detect it.
Versions (as of time of writing, these are all the latest versions)
XCode: 15.0.1
iOS: 17.1.2
macOS: Sonoma 14.1.2
What I've tried
Updating all hardware to the latest versions.
Restarting all hardware.
Clearing cache/derived data.
Using different USBC ports/cables.
Using the XCode 15.1-Beta 3 (the latest beta)
Clearing trusted computers and re-trusting
Disabling Multipath Networking (solution for someone else on the dev forums)
Creating a brand new xcode project.
Disabling all wifi/bluetooth and reconnecting
Using different wifi networks
Calling mac support (they directed me back here)
Scouring forums
What happens
I start by disconnecting my phone from my computer, clear trusted computers, restart xcode, and start (basically) from a completely blank slate. First I open XCode to my project. Then I connect my iPhone via USBC. I see that XCode says "iPhone not eligible while pairing in progress" (or something like that). I see on my phone that I must trust this computer, I hit trust, I enter my phone's passcode, then that disappears on my phone, and in XCode the message about eligibility disappears. I then click on the device selector to choose between either a simulator or a hardware device and under hardware I only see a message that says "No eligible devices connected to my mac". If I open the "Manage Run Destinations" organizer I see all the simulators there in the simulators tab, but when I go to the Devices tab, I see nothing. Sometimes when I go through this process, I can get a banner to appear up top, but still no device shows up on the left. The banner will show me that it is indeed my iPhone, but it will be missing information like "Serial Number" or "Capacity". Here's a screenshot of what I see. Keep in mind, this banner up top does not always show up when I go through this process.
iPhone CAN be detected on my other laptop
When I do this exact same thing on my other laptop, everything works just fine. Here are the specs I'm running on that laptop.
(using the same cable/wifi network/etc)
XCode 15.0.1
macOS: Ventura 13.6.1
iPhone 17.1.2 (I'm using the same iPhone)
The only difference here being the macOS version. However, the problem started on my "broken" computer while I was running a previous major macOS version. This problem is actually what prompted my to do a system update to Sonoma.
Please for the love of god, halp!!!
Hi,
i have met error below when i tried to po one attributes of an instance in my Xcode lldb:
error: type for self cannot be reconstructed: type for typename "$xxxxx" was not found (cached)
error: Couldn't realize Swift AST type of self. Hint: using `v` to directly inspect variables and fields may still work.
Is there anybody met the same error before? I urgently want to know why this happen and how to fix this issue.
My macOS Version is Sequoia v15.0.1, Xcode16.0. This problem showed after i upgraded my macOS and Xcode version.
Fails to gather code coverage and throws this error

It's maddening. I just opened a file and now it's gone because I had the audacity to open another file. I've learned that I can double click the tab of the first file to make it a permanent tab... but, of course, I'll need to do that every time I ever open any file ever, and if I close that file and come back to it later I'm going to be constantly having to double click tabs just to make Xcode stop replacing my tabs for me.
It's nuts. It's driving me insane.
Please. Is there any way to just DISABLE the temporary tabs behavior? I don't find it helpful in any way and I find it to be destructive to my development workflows.
Anyone know how to set Side By Side Comparison in the new commit UI? New UI seems to missing a lot of features like multi-select of files to discard/stage...
Hi,
I recently updated to Xcode 16. Since then I successfully built my app and sent an update to the App Store.
But suddenly, after an exception I've experienced while working on my code, the app is crashing on launch, without showing the stack trace, and showing only one warning in the console:
warning: (arm64) /Users/myuser/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/myapp-bglvscamatwthwbfqmtzmbvxeewc/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/myapp.app/MyApp empty dSYM file detected, dSYM was created with an executable with no debug info.
Tried deleting derived data
Erasing all simulator data
Reseting my computer
No change yet. Any idea what am I missing?
Thank you..
I have a project I've been working off of for a few years now that makes use of local Swift Packages. In my workspace, I have a "Kit" project that generates a framework using several local Swift Packages as dependencies.
In Xcode 12, the local Swift packages resolve correctly and compiles, but each beta of Xcode 13 gives me the error:
"[ProjectName].xcodeproj Missing package product '[LocalSwiftPackage]'"
Clearing the package cache, derived data, or restarting the application does not resolve the issue. Only Swift Packages that are remotely loaded from a URL are compiled correctly.
Using local packages to separate module code, while still being able to edit in the same project, has been essential to my workflow and would hate to see Xcode 13 release with these breaking changes, and I have not seen this issue listed in the known issues for the Xcode 13 release notes.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a workaround?
Hi all,
Has anyone else run into this issue in Xcode 26?
I’m logged into my paid ChatGPT Plus account, but the Xcode integration doesn’t seem to recognize the subscription. After a short period of use, I get the following error:
“Over daily limit. ChatGPT in Xcode will be unavailable for up to 24 hours. For higher limits, sign in with a paid ChatGPT account.”
Since I’m already signed in with a paid account, this looks like either a bug or a limitation specific to Xcode.
Is this expected behavior, or has anyone found a workaround to make Xcode properly recognize Plus accounts?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I’ve noticed a strange bug in Xcode 16 and Swift. When a preview is rendering and hasn’t finished yet and you run an app to debug, Xcode is launching two instances of the app. Has anyone else noticed this issue? If you let the preview finish rendering before running the app, this doesn’t happen. Very odd.
I've updated my computer to Sequoia 15, Xcode 16 and now no matter what I do, I am unable to work with Swift UI previews.
I get this error each time I try to run the preview:
Failed to launch app in reasonable time
I have done:
Uninstall/Re-install Xcode
Deleted derived data
Deleted the simulator data
Used DevCleaner to remove all data related to Xcode
Searched all websites about this issue. ( Non shown a good solution )
Write this question on here.
If anyone has found a solution, please let me know how you fixed it.
