Xcode 16.0 iOS 12 support
We are preparing builds using Xcode 16.0 given we have a large set of users on iOS 12. Now we have doubts wether we will run into issues if we ship using it (even if it compiles, archives and uploads successfully) given the table columns and content has changed since the last time we checked this table: https://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/. 1- Is the Deployment Targets range for Xcode 16 value correct for iOS? (On the 24th of February it had iOS 12-18, now it has iOS 15-18) 2- Are we OK to ship for iOS 12 using xcode 16.3? Thanks, Joao Garcia

EXC_BAD_ACCESS if Address or Thread Sanitizer is enabled
I'm getting EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=2, address=0x7ff8a6e2fcce) when launching my app on the simulator with Address or Thread Sanitizer enabled. I'm running Xcode 16.3 (16E140) on macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 (24E263). The call stack looks like the following. On the device, there is no crash, but this message is printed to the console: malloc: nano zone abandoned due to inability to reserve vm space. (Not sure if it's related.) Does anybody know what is causing the crash? Xcode Simulator Can't Boot
I am facing a recurring issue with Xcode iOS simulator. I want to preview a SwiftUI for iOS in Xcode, but the Simulator app fails to boot up. I receive the follow error in Xcode: Cannot Preview in this file. Simulator was shutdown during an update. I have tried the following: Deleting Xcode cache Reinstalling iOS Simulator runtimes Completely uninstalling Xcode and deleting all developer data, then reinstalling None of the above steps fix the problem. The only fix I have found is to completely reinstall MacOS 15.4.1. THIS IS TERRIBLE! I have already reinstalled MacOS 15.4.1 once to fix the issue, and I don't want to do it again. If there is another solution, please help me find it! Thank you!!

run XCUITest with an SKStoreReviewController
I'm building out a number of XCUITests. At one stage in my app, we present an SKStoreReviewController to ask the user if they'd like to review the app now. All I'd like to do is dismiss the view, by hitting the "Not Now" button. Normally, for other "system" views, I'd something like this: let springboard = XCUIApplication(bundleIdentifier: "com.apple.springboard") let notNowButton = springboard.buttons["Not Now"] And then I'd do an appropriate 'wait' and tap action. But for some reason, this isn't working. Looking for advice on how to properly handle this screen.

Unable to Install Provisioning profile
Hi, I'm unable to install provisioning profile on my iPad and I know the xcode component iOS/iPadOs version and iPadOS version should be same or below the latest compared to xcode components. Now the issue is xcode component version is iOS 18.4 (22E235) SDK + iOS 18.4 (22E238) Simulator (Installed) and iPadOS version is iOS 18.4.1(22E252) could this be cause of issue ? If yes then when will apple release components for 18.4.1? Because iOS 18.4.1 release at least 3-4 weeks before this post.

Unable to debug Memory Graph in Xcode: "an unknown error occurred launching the helper task"
I am not able to use the Debug Memory Graph tool as well as Leaks instrument inside Xcode to debug my project. I'm running my project on physical iOS device on running 18.3 version and I tested the project on two different MacBooks running Xcode 16.3 and 16.1. On both the same problem persists. Xcode 16.3 and IOS 18.4 Update
So I use two MacBooks for work and different levels of projects, updated MacBook 1, and I was about to download and install Predictive Code Completion Model and IOS 18.4 Runtime. But doing the same for my second MacBook isn't working... I've been searching for days now, and the deadline for submission is fast approaching. I need help on this. xcstrings CFBundleName value changes after building different target
Hi, I followed Xcode’s recommendation and migrated to the new strings format (*.strings → *.xcstrings) using the Migrate to String Catalog option. My project has two build targets: MyAppName MyAppNameVFSCopy Every time I build one or the other target, the value in the .xcstrings file changes under CFBundleName > en > stringUnit > value, switching between MyAppName and MyAppNameVFSCopy. As a result, Git detects a change in source control each time, which is quite annoying. How can I prevent this from happening? After building MyAppNameVFSCopy target, the "value" is MyAppNameVFSCopy "CFBundleName" : { "comment" : "Bundle name", "extractionState" : "extracted_with_value", "localizations" : { "en" : { "stringUnit" : { "state" : "new", "value" : "MyAppNameVFScopy" } } } } After building MyAppName target, the "value" changes to MyAppName "CFBundleName" : { "comment" : "Bundle name", "extractionState" : "extracted_with_value", "localizations" : { "en" : { "stringUnit" : { "state" : "new", "value" : "MyAppName" } } } } Deleting CFBundleName from *.xcstrings file didn't help. CFBundleName is automatically created again after building target. Both targets has it's on plist file. In those files: <key>CFBundleName</key> <string>${PRODUCT_NAME}</string> Attaching full xcstrings file InfoPlist.xcstrings

Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing
Hi When attempting to upload a React Native app (version 0.77) we encountered the following error: ITMS-90426: Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing. Rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode and resubmit it. If to check ipa folder we can see that content includes only 2 folders: Payload Symbols Could you please tell us why it does not include Swift Support folder? We tried to use XCode - 16.2 and 16.3 Thank you

ncorrect Beta Xcode Error
Unable to Submit iOS App for App Review Due to Incorrect Beta Xcode Error I'm encountering an issue when trying to submit a new build of my iOS app to the App Store. The app launches from TestFlight without any problems, but when attempting to submit it for App Review, I get the following error: "This build is using a beta version of Xcode and can’t be submitted." However, I'm not using a beta version of Xcode. I've tested this with both the public releases of Xcode 16.3 and 16.2. The build logs show no issues with the SDK or Platform versions, but in App Store Connect, the metadata is displaying the following: Build SDK: $(SDK_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) Build Platform: $(PLATFORM_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

In Xcode's build phases section is it possible to enable/disable compile flags bases on scheme
If an Xcode project has some compiler flags set in Build Phases / Compile Sources, then is it possible to have those enabled if scheme A is selected and disabled if scheme B is selected. Same question for things in Build Settings, such as Other Compiler Flags. I suppose it could be achieved by having two targets, one with things enabled and one without, but for a very large complex project, duplicating targets is not necessarily an easy thing to do.

Stale Issues, refreshAllObjects() is not working
Hi Experts, Could you please help. Issue at high level: After Editing a View contains a Table entries, saved and hit back button to display View, Table entries are duplicated or displaying previous and current entries together. Here is my Issue in detailed. List view display, clicking on any row, would navigate to DisplayView of a record. I am displaying a table in DisplayView. DisplayView contains "row" as parameter, and it must be initialized in "init" method, where I use row.key and fetch another table (say ColorTab) using Color.Key. DisplayView contains "NavigationView", with Edit button. it displays fetched Colors. example Red and Green. when user click on Edit, it takes to EditPage. user can remove / add colors. Once user made changes, saved and hit back button. Table entries are duplicated or showing previous and current entries. Options tried, a) init method is only triggering 1st time, not triggering when back button clicked, I failed to use FetchRequest outside of init method, I tried on OnAppear too. i didn't trigger. b) Failed to use FetchRequest inside of var Body too. c) tried using viewContext.refreshAllObjects() .. it is not refreshing the table. Could you please help if there is solution for the issue. Thanks, Bhanu

Xcode cannot find any frameworks
I am new to Xcode and trying to learn how to use Metal for my internship. I am trying to link the binaries of Foundation.framework, Metal.framework, and Quartcore.framework. But whenever I try to build it always fails to find any of them. I have my Header Search Path as $(PROJECT_DIR)/metal-cpp, I tried adding some for the Frameworks but that did not work either. I do have the binaries linked in the Build Phases, so I don't know what else I could be missing.

Questions about Deployment Targets in Xcode
The “Deployment Targets” for iOS was IOS12 or higher in Xcode15, but is now listed as IOS15 or higher in Xcode16. https://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/ How does this change affect developers and users? For example, if a developer specifies less than iOS15 in the “iOS Deployment Target” on Xcode, how will this affect them? Also, will users under iOS 15 be unable to run the apps?

App Suspended during active voip call on Xcode 16
We have started facing an issue after updating Xcode from version 15.2 to 16, we have a voip application with webview and call kit, and we have the Background Modes capabilities: Voip, Audio, Background fetch, and Background processing. We had no problem on Xcode 15, but ever since updating Xcode 16 and sdk 18, when app goes into the background during an active call, the app is suspended and no events are triggered UNTIL the app is resumed to the foreground.

(Not sure if it's related.) Xcode Simulator Can't Boot

Xcode 16.3 and IOS 18.4 Update

xcstrings CFBundleName value changes after building different target
