I have a SwiftUI RealityKit app, and I am writing UI tests for it.
The app has entities that have children.
All entities have an accessibilityComponent so that they can be found by UI tests.
If I set isAccessibilityElement = true for the parent, the UI tests find the parent.
If I set isAccessibilityElement = false for the parent, and isAccessibilityElement = true for the child, the UI tests find the child.
If I set isAccessibilityElement = true for the parent as well as for the child, the UI tests find only the parent.
How can I make parent and child entities both be accessible by the UI tests?

Recently, I had an error when building a project with xcode16.3. I'm not sure if it's caused by xcode16.3.
I looked in /Users/lijin/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-bqyvpudaavvrkzdtpgobtxxpzmlb/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/artifacts/arm64/buildstate/ and there was no Il2CppOutputProject folder. It seems that Run Script didn't work. I'm not sure what went wrong.
I'm using unity version 2023.2.19f, xcode version 16.3, system Mos 15.4
Please help me

I am using my real device and the Xcode Preview which works pretty fine. I do not want to show an empty canvas pane all the time. But when hiding the canvas, the preview pauses. I tried the refresh shortkey (OPT + CMD + P), too, while canvas is invisible.
Why must the canvas be visible even there is no content besides "Previewing on iPhone from..." Info?
I hope there is a workaround to hide the canvas while pushing to real devices.
My app has a Watch app companion, and a Widget.
are this settings correct to distribute these to TestFlight and Apple Store ?

Hello, im trying to get my app to be able to ask the device for permission to have access to the camera. To do so i created an info.plist and turned off the generate Info.plist file in packaging. I then added what i believe are all the necessary keys. However, when i try to build and test on my phone i keep running an error that says that my app has a missing or invalid CFBundleExecutable in its info.plist.
I tried to fix it by adding
Key: CFBundleExecutable
Type: String
Value: $(EXECUTABLE_NAME)
However, this isnt working. I have already added a BundleIdentifier using my com.name.appname the Bundle version string and Bundle Version. Now im not fully sure what to put to fix this issue.
Is there another way to get the camera to work without having to create an info.plist? Or is this the only way?
I need to elicit the location of the user in the Siri intents and so I call:
override init(){ super.init() self.locationManager=CLLocationManager() self.locationManager.delegate = self; self.locationManager.startUpdatingLocation() self.locationManager.requestWhenInUseAuthorization() }
Still neither
public func locationManagerDidChangeAuthorization(_ manager: CLLocationManager)
nor
public func locationManager(_ manager: CLLocationManager, didUpdateLocations locations: [CLLocation])
are ever called, notwithstanding the presence of the correct entry in the info.plist, the inclusion of the library and the indication of the delegation with:
class IntentHandler: INExtension, INSendMessageIntentHandling, CLLocationManagerDelegate, UISceneDelegate
are ever called.
Is there any problem with CLLocation manager on intents? What would be a big problem as there is no way to share information with the main app!
Hi,
When build our project on one Mac/Xcode, build got interrupt and failed, it state that
"The signature of
"xxxxxx.x-framework" cannot be validated and may have been compromised.
Validation Error: The signing certificate has been revoked
(CSSMERR_TP_CERT_REVOKED)"
One strang thing is this build failed only on Xcode/mac, but the exact the project could be built successfully.
So question here:
How can skip this warning to make the project build successfully?
More curious, how this interrupt only happened on one Xcode, while others are ok?
Thanks,
KK

In Xcode, when you type a word like "don't", a second apostrophe is automatically inserted after the word and you have to manually delete it.
Repro steps:
Create a new empty Markdown file or XML file.
Open the file in Xcode.
Type the word “don’t”.
Expected behavior: The word “don’t” appears.
Observed behavior: The word “don’t” appears, followed by an extra single quote.
Hello,
I am doing the SwiftUI tutorial with Xcode 16.2

For the macOS part the simulator working fine but the preview is totally broken with -> ”ContentView.swift” not found in any targets.
While it is correctly added to the target …
Please fix or make tutorial clear.

I have a swift project with a Watch companion.
Since the update of Xcode in 16.3 version after updating MAcOs , Watch OS, iOS to the latest version . It is quasi impossible for me to make Xcode work with my series 10 Watch. I have a lot of alert box, messages in the "device & Simulator" tool like this
Previous preparation error: A connection to this device could not be established.; Timed out while attempting to establish tunnel using negotiated network parameters.
And many message telling me that Xcode is preparing the Watch , then that it has lost the connexion.
I have to wait some minutes after EACH run of the App to test it again. This is very annoying .
Some of the alerts I have :
And the best to know , is that I can run the APP outside of Xcode , it works, Connects to the iPhone, fetch data and so. the iPhone sees the Watch without and problem.
Reboots can solve for a few minutes the problem. But that is not a solution.

Hello,
For one of my recent release (2 versions ago), I used to be able to check its p50 of Hang Rate, but now it disappear and not showing up in XCode Organizer Metrics anymore. The p90 of Hang Rate of this version is still there.
It's so unpredictable. Is there something we can do to get this data to populate? If not, may I understand usually why this issue will happen, is it something frond-end bug or is it because there is some thing abnormal going on in the back-end data?
with the latest Xcode version, i am getting all kinds of errors:
few main ones:
/Users/akashbhatia/MyApp/ios/Pods/Target Support Files/ReactCodegen/ReactCodegen-prefix.pch:2:9 Could not build module 'UIKit'
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator18.4.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/CFNetwork.framework/Headers/CFNetwork.h:18:10 Could not build module 'CoreFoundation'
/Users/akashbhatia/MyApp/ios/Pods/Headers/Public/RCT-Folly/folly/portability/Config.h:20:10 'folly/folly-config.h' file not found
I have reinstalled Xcode, removed derived data, installed pod over and over again, but I have realized from the first error here, that it has more to do with Xcode and React Native now. Any help will be appreciated.
Within Xcode's settings location section is a drop down menu to switch between setting the derived data location to be default, relative or custom.
However its a global setting.
I work on more than one project simultaneously, and for one of them I want the location set to relative, but default for all the others.
Is there any way of achieving that?
Hi,
I am able to build my iOS app successfully, developed in objective-C with iOS 17.5 SDK and Xcode 15.
Due to requirement of Appstore we are trying to build with iOS 18 SDK and Xcode 16.
When building getting error in LAEnvironmentState.h file:
a) "Property requires field to be named"
b) "Expected member name or ';' after declaration specifiers"
Same app when opening with Xcode 15 gets build without any issue.
Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.
What I am trying to do is very simple.
Environment description:
macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 iOS Simulator version 12.3 Target device iPhone 11 (iOS 13.2.2)
Open Safari > go to website > mictests.com
Result: "Could not find any media devices. It is very likely that your browser does not allow access to these devices."
The Simulator does have access to the microphone. I can use Siri just fine. Only Safari cannot access the mic. I'm really stuck here, any ideas are welcome.
I'm trying to load a Safari Extension onto my physical iPhone 15 running iOS 18.4 but am seeing the following message: "iOS 18.4 is not installed."
When I click the Get button I see that the download has failed with the following error message. I tried updating my laptop to Sequoia and I also deleted and re-installed Xcode but that didn't fix it. Any thoughts?

Hi!
When I run my project on a real device (iPhone 15 Pro), I encounter the following error:
Build input file cannot be found: '/Users/Interexy/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/SinglePhotoBook-geecnphrjebsisdmhcyzlsefvphm/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/SinglePhotoBook.app/SinglePhotoBook'. Did you forget to declare this file as an output of a script phase or custom build rule which produces it?
How can I solve this? I've already reinstalled Pods and cleaned DerivedData a million times, but the issue persists.

The code in my app is split into frameworks that I can use both from my main app and its app extensions. In order to use the frameworks inside the app extension, I need to build them with the Xcode build setting Require Only App-Extension-Safe API set to Yes.
When I do that, debugging framework code in my main app no longer works properly. I can set a breakpoint, but any attempt to print a value via p or po will give a set of errors like the following:
error: module file /Users/.../Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/...-daqfgouagvlkudfebrmzrurogmld/Build/Intermediates.noindex/SwiftExplicitPrecompiledModules/_errno-B8I5WSZMM09RXHYLYEWSC1BLE.pcm cannot be loaded due to a configuration mismatch with the current compilation
error: Objective-C App Extension was enabled in PCH file but is currently disabled
How do I fix this?
I'm encountering an issue while trying to build my iOS app in Xcode for the simulator.
Issue:
Xcode Version: 15.x
macOS Version: 14.x (Sonoma)
Simulator: iPhone 16 Pro
Error Message: Command ClangStatCache failed with a nonzero exit code
Steps Taken:
Cleaned build folder (Shift + Cmd + K)
Deleted DerivedData (rm -rf ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData)
Updated Xcode and checked iOS SDK updates
Disabled Clang Static Analyzer Cache
None of these steps resolved the issue. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
