ah...fixed! :-}
with latest Xcode (28 April 2025) Version 16.4 beta (16F1t)
The size of the preview pane is kept between editor/file changes and is not reset to a default value.
I'm going crazy - it's driving me mad, the constant adjustment of the 'preview pane'. i have to go back to 16.2
oh, how excited I am waiting for a 16.4 beta with 1000 bug fixes!
I suspect that the 'OP' itself is a bad, cheap coding AI that has to train itself and therefore requests real code intelligence (for example you) and sucks knowledge from it.
Anyhow...eagerly awaiting Xcode 16.3.x Release.

Same here...some Test/Throw-Away Apps still lying around. Can not remove. Everything else is already cleaned up. Have also some Swift Playground Apps which I can not remove.
Ah, it is not satisfying to just leave it like this.
I will escalate to support via Request.
