So I tried installing this update three times. Each time all 7.6 GB "downloads" and begins the "Installing..." shortly after Xcode starts "Installing" I get a notification in the Notification Center "Unable to Download App" "Xcode could not be installed please try again later."...Anyone else?

Getting this error when trying to push an update to the Mac App Store. The Apple ID I'm logged in as has the role Admin in App Store connect.
I just upgraded to iOS 17 and it looks like AVSpeechSynthesizer is now broken.
I noticed when feeding certain strings to AVSpeechUtterance it just dies flat out stops after only speaking a portion of the string.
For example I fed it a string of approx. 1200 words and it speaks up to around 300 words or so and then just stops. The synthesizer delegate method -speechSynthesizer:didFinishSpeechUtterance: is called when this happens, as if this is supposed to be the end even though it is not even close to being finishes.
Was working fine on iOS 16.
FWIW I create the AVSpeechUtterance with -initWithString:
So I get JPEG data in my app. Previously I was using the higher level NSBitmapImageRep API and just feeding the JPEG data to it.
But now I've noticed on Sonoma If I get a JPEG in the CMYK color space the NSBitmapImageRep renders mostly black and is corrupted. So I'm trying to drop down to the lower level APIs. Specifically I grab a CGImageRef and and trying to use the Accelerate API to convert it to another format (to hopefully workaround the issue...
CGImageRef sourceCGImage = `CGImageCreateWithJPEGDataProvider(jpegDataProvider,`
NULL,
shouldInterpolate,
kCGRenderingIntentDefault);
Now I use vImageConverter_CreateWithCGImageFormat... with the following values for source and destination formats:
Source format: (derived from sourceCGImage)
bitsPerComponent = 8
bitsPerPixel = 32
colorSpace = (kCGColorSpaceICCBased; kCGColorSpaceModelCMYK; Generic CMYK Profile)
bitmapInfo = kCGBitmapByteOrderDefault
version = 0
decode = 0x000060000147f780
renderingIntent = kCGRenderingIntentDefault
Destination format:
bitsPerComponent = 8
bitsPerPixel = 24
colorSpace = (DeviceRBG)
bitmapInfo = 8197
version = 0
decode = 0x0000000000000000
renderingIntent = kCGRenderingIntentDefault
But vImageConverter_CreateWithCGImageFormat fails with kvImageInvalidImageFormat. Now if I change the destination format to use 32 bitsPerpixel and use alpha in the bitmap info the vImageConverter_CreateWithCGImageFormat does not return an error but I get a black image just like NSBitmapImageRep
I'm starting to see the behavior described here:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/74491422/uitableview-createpreparedcellforglobalrowwithindexpathwilldisplay-1256
Starting on iOS 16.2 for me (though the creator of the Stackoverflow thread started seeing in in 16.1.1.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Have an app I'm working on that stores an item in the keychain. Everything was was working fine. I have a button in the UI that allows the user to clear out the keychain item:NSDictionary *query = @{(__bridge id)kSecClass: (__bridge id)kSecClassGenericPassword,
(__bridge id)kSecAttrService: service,
(__bridge id)kSecAttrAccount: accountKey};
OSStatus status = SecItemDelete((__bridge CFDictionaryRef)(query));Status is -25244 which is errSecInvalidOwnerEdit. This app created the keychain item to begin with. What would be the appropriate way to handle this type of error?
I'm using UIDocumentPickerViewController to open a url. Works fine in debug mode but version on the App Store is failing.
Code to create the document picker is like:
NSArray *theTypes = [UTType typesWithTag:@"docxtensionhere" tagClass:UTTagClassFilenameExtension conformingToType:nil];
UIDocumentPickerViewController *documentPicker = [[UIDocumentPickerViewController alloc]initForOpeningContentTypes:theTypes];
documentPicker.delegate = self;
[self presentViewController:documentPicker animated:YES completion:nil];
So in debug mode this is all gravy. -documentPicker:didPickDocumentsAtURLs: passes back a URL and I can read the file.
In release mode I get a URL but my app is denied access to read the file. After inspecting some logging it appears the sandbox is not granting my app permission.
error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=257 "The file “Filename.fileextensionhere” couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view it." UserInfo={NSFilePath=/private/var/mobile/Library/Mobile Documents/comappleCloudDocs/Filename.fileextensionhere, NSUnderlyingError=0x2834c9da0 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=1 "Operation not permitted"}}

If I'm doing something wrong with UIDocumentPickerViewController it is a real shame that permission is not being denied in Debug mode, as devs are more likely to catch in prior to release. Anyone know where I'm going wrong and if not have a workaround? Thanks in advance.
I have a multiple window Mac Catalyst app. I'm using a NSToolbar and the menu bar via UIMenuBuilder.
I noticed after changing windows the menu bar isn't always validating properly. For example my app implements "Undo" and "redo". So I can reproduce the issue using these steps:
Perform an action that can be undone.
Open a new window. This new window has its own undo manager.
In the Menu bar select Edit -> Undo
Undo validates even though the current window has nothing on its local undo stack. If invoked undo is performed on the inactive window which definitely seems wrong.
The same thing sometimes happens in reverse (that is, undo doesn't validate when it should after switching windows). This also happens with other actions after switching windows.
Sometimes I can get the actions to validate by hitting the Tab key to move focus then shift tabbing back, which seems to force proper lookup in the responder chain (but sometimes that doesn't work).
It seems that Catalyst is losing track of the real active window/window scene for some reason and is validating actions on the wrong window scene.
Anyone experience this and know where I could be going wrong and/or know of a possible workaround?
I tried subclassing UIApplication and implementing the methods there (and then forwarding them to the active UIWindowScene). However this doesn't work, the wrong window scene has its activationState set to UISceneActivationStateForegroundActive when the problem occurs.
I'm trying to create a dynamic menu on Mac Catalyst. Using a UIBarButtonitem like so to make a "pull down" button:
UIDeferredMenuElement *deferredmenuElement;
deferredmenuElement = [UIDeferredMenuElement elementWithUncachedProvider:^(void (^ _Nonnull completion)(NSArray<UIMenuElement *> * _Nonnull))
{
UIAction *actionOne = [UIAction actionWithTitle:@"Action One" image:nil identifier:nil handler:^(__kindof UIAction * _Nonnull action) {
NSLog(@"action one fired.");
}];
UIAction *actionTwo = [UIAction actionWithTitle:@"Action Two" image:nil identifier:nil handler:^(__kindof UIAction * _Nonnull action) {
NSLog(@"action two fired.");
}];
UIAction *actionThree = [UIAction actionWithTitle:@"Action Three" image:nil identifier:nil handler:^(__kindof UIAction * _Nonnull action) {
NSLog(@"action three fired.");
}];
completion(@[actionOne,actionTwo,actionThree]);
}];
UIMenu *wrappedMenu = [UIMenu menuWithChildren:@[deferredmenuElement]];
UIBarButtonItem *uiBarButtonItem = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc]initWithTitle:nil
menu:wrappedMenu];
uiBarButtonItem.image = [UIImage systemImageNamed:@"rectangle.and.pencil.and.ellipsis"];
self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItems = @[uiBarButtonItem];
The button appears in the toolbar but when I click it to expose the menu I get a menu with on element in it that says "Loading...". The the uncached provider block is never called.
Running Ventura 13.2.1 and Xcode 14.2.
I was wondering if there is a quick way to convert a model trained with the open source CRFSuite for use with NLTagger?
It seems like retraining should be possible but was wondering if automatic conversion was supported?
I just tried submitting an app to be notarized. This app is actually only used by me internally (but I have other apps this question would be relevant to) and I can't submit for notarization. I get the following error:
"Hardened Runtime is not enabled."
Is the Hardened Runtime now required? I know it used to be optional (I believe the last time I submitted an app update a few months ago outside the Mac App Store I got no such error).
Periodically when testing I am running into a situation where the app hangs and beach balls forever when using AVAudioEngine.
This seems to log out when this affect happens:
Now when this happens if I pause the debugger it's hanging at a call to:
[engine connect:playerNode
to:engine.mainMixerNode
format:buffer.format];

Current all my audio engine related calls are on the main queue (though I am curious about this https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/123540?answerId=816827022#816827022).
In any case, anyone know where I'm going wrong here?
Looks like I'm having a bad morning. I'm on 10.11.6 and Xcode 7.3.1.Xcode keeps crashing. When I re-launch Xcode, it restores the window of my open project and crashes again. I rebooted my machine and was able to start working again for about 5 minutes and now it is doing it again.When relaunching I get:Xcode quit unexpectedly while using the dsc_extractor.bundle plug-in.I sent probably 10-15 crash reports to Apple.
Where's the link for the "Guides and Sample Code" page (located here: https://developer.apple.com/library/content/navigation/I kow the URL because I know it, but why isn't there a link to it on the main developer page (since release notes and other important tidbits get published there)? Why's it so hard to find?Or is it right in front of my face and I'm not seeing it?
