App based on a webview and app aproval
We are develivering software for schools where teachers create and edit teaching materials targeting the teacher, the student and the parents. The content is HTML5 based with images, sound and text. It is only authorized teacher who can edit and publish content. Some customers are interested in an app for students and parents, so they get the content in some other way than loging into an SPA or get it by email. The functionality of the app will be: Present the editet HTML5 content in a webview (webview accessing a web server) Posibility for parents and students to mark the homework as done, by either "easy" or "difficult" Notify parents and students about homework need to be done (if the homewok is'nt done in the evening before it should be delivered). Text to speach for reading content of the educational material (part of the code running in the webview) Most of the functionality will be done in the webview and the only thing the app will do is to talk to an API and get a list of homework needs to be done and create local notifications. The app will be free in the app store, but it requires the user to have a valid login provided by the school. It will not be possible to use any functionality of the app without a user account created by the school/our customer. The customer will never use app store for finding our product, so there is zero marketing value in using the store. Based on many stories, this kind of app will be rejected in the sore and we dont want to waste time and money on developing for apple users if the app will be rejected anyway. Is this correct? this kind of app will be rejected?
