Just commenting that I have the exact same problem! It said it auto-renewed successfully and then it said you're membership has lapsed... Created a ticket but no response. Please update us when you find out.

Solution: convert your png images to jpeg and re-upload. I got a message saying alpha and/or transparency not allowed, transparency (alpha) is only possible on png so jpeg fixes that and removes the issue.
