Hi,
When I login to App Store connect, I get a banner message saying "Review the updated Paid Applications Schedule":
In order to update your existing apps, create new in-app purchases, and submit new apps to the App Store, the user with the Legal role (Account Holder) must review and accept the Paid Applications Schedule (Schedule 2 to the Apple Developer Program License Agreement) in the Agreements, Tax, and Banking module.
When I click the link, select "View and Agree Terms", and select the checkbox and select the "Agree" button to accept the terms, I get an error message:
We are currently unable to process your request. Please try again later.
This has been happening for the past 2 days now. What should I try to do to overcome this problem? I'll file a bug with Apple, but it takes them many days to respond to these issues usually.
Selecting any option will automatically load the page

I'm confused about this ... the MailKit headers files seem to suggest that MailKit APIs are available for iOS16 now. But I haven't seen any documentation mention it, and you can't create a MailKit extension for iOS (using Xcode 14) like you can with macOS. So is it available to use in iOS or not? If so, how do we create an iOS target for the MailKit extension?
Hi,
I have a paid macOS app available in the Mac App Store for the past few years, and I'm looking into converting it into a freemium app. I wanted to add a check to see if the app was purchased legitimately or not, since I know there's a lot of pirated copies available on the internet.
I just did some basic analytics with the app already on the store, the app receipt validation fails because there's no file found at the receipt URL location. I'm just doing this basic check and it fails for a lot of the cases ....
NSURL *receiptURL = [NSBundle mainBundle].appStoreReceiptURL;
BOOL exists = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] fileExistsAtPath:receiptURL.path isDirectory:nil];
Does this signify that the user has a non-AppStore copy of the app? Or could the receipt be missing for other legitimate reasons? Do I have to make a call to refresh the receipt to confirm this (as I would on iOS)?
Again, this is for an existing app on the Mac App Store, not testing for sandbox users.
Thanks.

Hi,
My iOS app includes 4 dependencies added through SPM, and a xcframework file from an external source. When I build the iOS app for the visionOS simulator, it works fine, and it runs in the compatibility mode. When I try to build for the new visionOS SDK, I get build errors related to these external dependencies, like "When building for visionOS Simulator, no library for this platform was found ..."
How do I remove these dependencies for just the visionOS SDK? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi,
I am trying to migrate my custom intents to App Intents, and was running into some issues. My current intentdefinitions file and all intent handling code are in a framework that is shared with my app target. I went through the migration assistant and added the App Intents codes directly to my main app target. When I run a shortcut with the App Intent, it doesn't work ... I get some messages in the console that say:
Could not find an intent with identifier MyCustomAddContactIntent, mangledTypeName: Optional("")
I guess the old custom intents and new App Intents should both live in the same package to see each other. In this case, I'm not sure if all the existing custom intents file and all the intents handler logic should be moved into the main app bundle (and removed from framework), or should I add the new App Intents handlers into the framework (in addition to the main app)?
Also, will the custom framework even be needed or run in iOS16+?
Thanks.
Hi,
I am looking at the ContactAccessButton and contactAccessPicker functionality that's new in iOS18. I had a couple of questions about this:
is this available through UIKit as well as SwiftUI, or is it a SwiftUI-only feature?
is it going to be available on the Mac as well as iOS?
Thanks.

Hi,
When I use 'listSectionSeparator' on hide the section separator on a List 'section', it works as expected on iOS, but doesn't have any effect on macOS. Is that a known issue? Are there any workarounds for this?
Here's a basic reproducible example:
import SwiftUI
struct TestItem: Identifiable, Hashable {
let id = UUID()
let itemValue: Int
var itemString: String {
get {
return "test \(itemValue)"
}
}
}
struct TestListSelection: View {
let testArray = [TestItem(itemValue: 1), TestItem(itemValue: 2), TestItem(itemValue: 3), TestItem(itemValue: 4)]
@State private var selectedItem: TestItem? = nil
var body: some View {
List (selection: $selectedItem) {
Section("Header") {
ForEach (testArray, id: \.self) { item in
Button {
print("main row tapped for \(item.itemValue)")
} label: {
HStack {
Text(item.itemString)
Spacer()
Button("Tap me") {
print("button tapped")
}
.buttonStyle(.borderless)
}
}
.buttonStyle(.plain)
}
}
.listSectionSeparator(.hidden) // has no effect on macOS
Section("2nd Header") {
ForEach (testArray, id: \.self) { item in
Text(item.itemString)
}
}
.listSectionSeparator(.hidden) // has no effect on macOS
}
.listStyle(.plain)
}
}
#Preview {
TestListSelection()

Hi,
I have an existing app with AppEntities defined, that works on iOS16 and iOS17. The AppEntities also have EntityPropertyQuery defined, so they work as 'find intents'. I want to use the new @AssistantEntity on iOS18, while supporting the previous versions. What's the best way to do this?
For e.g. I have a 'person' AppEntity:
@available(iOS 16.0, macOS 13.0, watchOS 9.0, tvOS 16.0, *)
struct CJLogAppEntity: AppEntity {
static var defaultQuery = CJLogAppEntityQuery()
....
}
struct CJLogAppEntityQuery: EntityPropertyQuery {
...
}
How do I adopt this with @AssistantEntity(schema: .journal.entry) for iOS18, while maintaining compatibility with iOS16 and 17?
Hi,
I just updated my machine to macOS 15, and while developing and running my app (with Xcode), I keep getting messages about my app "would like to access data from other apps". This happens even from Xcode Previews, so it's pretty annoying. My production app doesn't seem to be affected by this problem; the system prompt just pops when running the debug version.
I came across something about App Groups in macOS and how something has changed in macOS15 regarding system permissions. I use the "group.xxx" prefix in my macOS app, without the team prefix. Is that the problem here? But why is my production app working fine, but the development app is triggering the prompt repeatedly?
Would love any feedback or workarounds.
Thanks.
Hi,
I have noticed a major uptick in crash reports, ever since I updated my app for macOS Sequoia. All of them have to do with NSOutlineView, and they all have a similar internal API in the crash log, which shows that the issue is something to do with the framework. They all have references to NSConcreteMapTable and _TtCs12_SwiftObject isEqual.
The issue isn't reproducible, but it's reported by many different users, all on macOS15+, and it was never an issue with macOS14 or below, so I'm not sure what to do about it.
Here's a couple of examples of the new crash reports:

I just created a Feedback FB15625970. Please let me know if this is a known issue, and/or if there's any ideas out there on how I can do to avoid this. It's causing a lot of instability in my app, that wasn't there before macOS15, so something changed in the internal APIs, and hopefully there's a way to work around it.
Hi,
WWDC24 videos have a lot of references to an "Image Playground" API, and the "What's New in AppKit" session even shows it in action, with a "ImagePlaygroundViewController". However, there doesn't seem to be any access to the new API, even with Xcode 16.2 beta. Am I missing something, or is that 'coming later'?
I'm trying to use the new #Playground feature in Xcode, but it keeps crashing in the canvas. I am testing on Xcode 26.0 beta 4, on both macOS 15 and macOS26 beta 4. How do I figure out what's going on?
I also have a few SwiftUI previews in my project, which also crashes if I try to preview them. They're not in any active tab right now in Xcode. But the #Playground feature still doesn't work.
I also don't get a crash when working on a #Playground in a different project.
I've tried cleaning out Derived Data and restarting the Mac / Xcode, all with no avail. How do I track down what's causing this? Do previews and playground run on the same engine?

I'm deliberating on whether to use CloudKit for an app that requires sharing data amongst self-created groups of users (for e.g. sharing company-wide directories). I would use a public database for this, but I had a couple of questions:- if I create a subscription to listen to record changes for a partcular record type, will all the users get a notification when data changes, or only the logged-in iCloud user amongst his/her multiple devices? can there by 'group' notifications that cross iCloud users?- if there's no way for a 'group' of users to get notifications, I guess polling from the app to CloudKit would work, with the groupID part of the predicate? Or is there another options?Thanks.
Hi,I am rrying to add unit tests for my CloudKit error handling code. One of my tests requires me to set the 'recordChangeTag' property to something that's not nil (so it can simulate an existing server record) ... but I can't figure out a way how to set this. Setting a value using the record.recordChangeTag doesn't work, wont even compile. I tried using [record setObject: @"aad" forKey:@"recordChangeTag"]; but even that fails at run-time, failing with this:"caught "NSInvalidArgumentException", ""recordChangeTag" is a reserved key name"Is there any other way to set this? I need to test some conflict-handling code, and the only way to do this sensibly is to simulate an existing server record, which you can't do without a 'recordChangeTag'.
Hi,I saw the WWDC talk on the new Contacts framework, and I had a couple of questions about the identifier property:When users upgrade from iOS8 to iOS9, will their old AddressBook recordIDs still work if we are using the AddressBook framework in the app (i.e. haven't upgraded to using Contacts framework)?Are the new CNContact identifiers consistent across iOS and Mac devices? i.e. if we have the identifier on one device, we can lookup the contact on another device with the same identifier?Can these identifiers change in the lifetime of that contact? This was a problem with AddressBook recordIDs ... if you removed the account and then synced it back again, all the contacts would get a different identifier. Same with restoring the device. Will the CNGroup and CNContainer identifiers also be consistent across devices?Hope someone in the Apple Contacts frameworks team can answer. Thanks.
