TestFlight builds expired across multiple apps; new builds cannot be installed (“Requested app is not available or doesn’t exist”)

Hi,

I’m experiencing a TestFlight issue affecting multiple apps in my account.

Issue summary:

• Several TestFlight builds across all of my apps expired at the same time.

• After uploading new replacement builds, neither I nor my testers are able to install them.

• Installation fails with the message: “Could not install {App Name}. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.”

• The build shows as processed and available in App Store Connect.

• Testers are already invited and active.

• No redeem code is required.

I am seeing the same issue on my own device as well.

What I’ve tried:

• Uploading new builds (incremented version + build number).

• Confirmed builds are visible and available in App Store Connect.

• Removing and re-adding testers.

• Logging out of the app.

• Deleting the app from the device.

• Restarting the device.

• Reinstalling directly from TestFlight.

• Restarting TestFlight.

Despite this, installation consistently fails with the “requested app is not available or doesn’t exist” error.

Expected behavior:

• New TestFlight builds should be installable once processed and available.

• Testers (and the developer) should be able to install directly from TestFlight.

• Expired builds should not block installation of newly uploaded builds.

Additional context:

• This started immediately after multiple TestFlight builds expired across my apps.

• All affected apps were previously installing and testing without issue.

• Apple Developer Support has been contacted, but I wanted to check whether others are seeing the same behavior or if there is a known workaround.

Has anyone else encountered TestFlight builds becoming unavailable across multiple apps at once, or an install failure after replacing expired builds

I am seeing the same exact things and it's very frustrating. 2-day old builds "expired" for no reason, and my current build is ready for testing. I've been unable to test it internally, and unable to invite external testers. I get the same "Could not install... The requested app is not available or doesn't exist" message in the testflight app, even though app is ready in App Store Connect TestFlight...

Same here and I contacted apple support and got no response

Hi,

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I have the same error message: "Could not install {App Name}. The requested app is not available or doesn't exist."

I also tried uploading new builds, removing and re-adding testers, deleting the app, restarting everything — nothing worked.

What's interesting is that there were some account-related agreements to sign recently, and even after signing those and updating my account, the issue persists. So it doesn't seem to be related to the account agreements at all.

It looks like this is definitely a TestFlight backend issue on Apple's side. Hoping Apple resolves this soon. Will update here if I find any workaround.

I'm having the same issue. All of my builds are expiring in 30 minutes without being able to be installed on any device.

Same issue - submitted a support ticket but it's been a week.

Hit this exact issue starting July 15, 2026 at 22:13 PT: all 23 TestFlight builds across all 4 apps in our account expired simultaneously (same 2-second window), including a build uploaded 35 minutes earlier.

Public invite link died.

A fresh replacement build processes to VALID and appears in TestFlight, but every install fails with "The requested app is not available or doesn't exist" — internal testers included.

Submitting it for Beta App Review via the ASC API returns 422 ENTITY_UNPROCESSABLE.BETA_CONTRACT_MISSING, despite a current membership and an Active Free Apps Agreement.

Support case 102943739163 is open.

If anyone recovered from this: what exactly did Apple change, and how long did it take after escalation?

"Apple phone support confirmed on July 16 this is a backend issue on their side requiring senior-advisor reversal". They also said that there are "no senior-advisors available, so expect a 2 business day turnaround time."

We have our first alpha test event with 115 RSVP'd live users in our external-facing testflight build tonight, so this is very tough news to receive.

Getting the same issue since Aug 9. Initially it was just that I couldn't download for a specific app. Now, every build on my account was expired and I can't download anything. I wrote to support, it's been 2 days, no response!

Have you found a solution?

Same issue as in a first post, opened a support ticket, no response sofar

@cyxf hey, have you managed to resolve the issue?

Has anyone found a solution to this please?? Or had a reply from Apple?

thanks

Thanks for the multiple posts.

Thank you for your patience while the TestFlight team looked into the recent issue where installations were failing with the message: “Could not install [App Name]. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.”

May I ask you to please open the TestFlight app today and try installing the latest build again.

If you are still unable to install the app today: Please file a bug report. Once you open the bug report, please post the FB number here for my reference.

If you have any questions about filing a bug report, take a look at Bug Reporting: How and Why?

Thanks,

@DTS Engineer i'm still having the same problem and my bug report is: FB24429619

@pclslopes Thanks for providing the bug, may I ask you in the bug to provide that team with the affected App ID?

Mind you the error you encountered is not about installing an app is about the contract not submitted. Mind you, is still TestFlight, however I'm looking for developers where the app installation is not working and getting the error they can't install.

For more details on when you'll see updates to your report, please see What to expect after submission.

Thanks

@Albert Thanks for following up! To clarify: my issue IS that app installation/download is failing, and it is affecting ALL apps across our entire account.

The Problem: Testers cannot install or download any TestFlight builds across any of our apps—they all fail with the "app unavailable" error. This started when builds expired simultaneously across our account.

Feedback Ticket ID: FB24429619

The mention of "contract" in my previous report was just an assumption while troubleshooting on our end. This is definitely the account-wide installation failure you are investigating. I have updated my Feedback ticket with these details as requested.

@pclslopes Thanks for the clarification, please provide the team with the affected App ID?

Thanks

@DTS Engineer ..this is currently affecting 2 apps that have builds in testflight (as all other builds for other apps expired all at the same time)... therefore seems like an account issue than an app issue... anyway...the 2 apple id apps are: 6802344432 6762234308

Thanks for looking into this.

I am experiencing the same account-wide TestFlight installation issue.

All affected builds are successfully processed, valid, and shown as “Testing” in App Store Connect. Internal testers can see the apps in TestFlight, but installation fails with:

“Could not install [App Name]. The requested app is unavailable or does not exist.”

The issue affects multiple apps on my Developer Team, including Sykkylv1 and Bølge.

At the same time, App Store Connect/TestFlight incorrectly reports:

“Before you can use TestFlight to distribute beta builds of your app, you must renew your Apple Developer Program membership.”

My Apple Developer Program membership is active until March 19, 2027, and all relevant agreements are Active.

I have filed a Feedback Assistant report:

FB24450198

I have also opened an Apple Developer Support case.

I can provide the affected App IDs and any additional diagnostics if needed.

@pclslopes Thanks for that, looks like you already updated the bug.

@DTS Engineer I did update it... but is anyone looking into it?... as resolution is marked as.... Resolution:Investigation complete - Unable to diagnose with current information

@pclslopes Yes the bug got routed correctly and I do not see the resolution marked as completed or anything like that. Is still unresolved and under investigation.

We're unable to share any updates on specific reports on the forums.

For more details on when you'll see updates to your report, please see What to expect after submission.

Please communicate with the team using Feedback Assistant.

@DTS Engineer here is mine as well, I'm having the same problem - FB24458589

@ahmedebaid Thanks for the bug, routing it to the team to review.

@DTS Engineer I am having the same problem on my TestFlight builds as well. FB24467413 Thanks for any help you can provide.
