We've disabled FUS through a config profile, but users can still access FUS by enabling the MenuBar/Control Center icons. My org would like to prevent access to FUS so I've created a config profile. But the profile doesn't seem to work.
Anyone have any ideas what I'm missing, or is this an OS bug?

We are having issues working with bypass codes the server creates when initiating Activation Lock through MDM.
We are able to use the device-generated bypass codes without issue.
When using the end point to request activation lock as specified in https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/creating-and-using-bypass-codes/ we get a 200 response. But when using the endpoint to bypass the activation lock, we get a 404 response. If we try to manually input the activation lock bypass code, it also does not work.
Both of these methods work with the device-generated bypass codes.
Just to clarify when testing the server generated codes, we ensured that we did not test the device-generated codes.
All of this was tested on iOS devices.
Created feedback ticket FB21365819 with device specific details.
We have a WebContentFilter that has an AllowList with a couple of domains and a DenyList that includes www.apple.com. This works on iOS18.x but doesn't work in iOS26 as www.apple.com can be reached.
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web
Indicates that .apple.com is always accessible but evidence seems to indicate this wasn't the case pre iOS26. An older version of this page
https://web.archive.org/web/20220427202204/https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web has no mention of .apple.com although field names are also different.
Has this change come about due to the filtering changes introduced in iOS26 and is there any way we can still block .apple.com going forward. Would a content plugin be an options ?

We’ve run into what looks like a gap in how forceAirDropUnmanaged is enforced on iOS devices.
Setup:
Device: iOS 17.x (unsupervised, enrolled in MDM)
MDM Restriction: forceAirDropUnmanaged = true
Managed Open-In restriction also applied (block unmanaged destinations).
Verified: from a managed app, the AirDrop icon is hidden in the share sheet. This part works as expected.
Issue:
When two iOS devices are brought close together, the proximity-initiated AirDrop / NameDrop flow still allows transfer of photos, videos, or files between devices. In this path, forceAirDropUnmanaged does not appear to apply, even though the same restriction works correctly in the standard sharing pane.
What I’d expect: If forceAirDropUnmanaged is enabled, all AirDrop transfer paths (including proximity/NameDrop) should be treated as unmanaged, and thus blocked when “Managed Open-In to unmanaged destinations” is restricted.
What I observe instead:
Share sheet → AirDrop hidden ✅
Proximity/NameDrop → transfer still possible ❌
Questions for Apple / Community:
Is this a known limitation or expected behavior?
Is there a different restriction key (or combination) that also covers proximity-based AirDrop?
If not currently supported, should this be filed as Feedback (FB) to request alignment between share sheet AirDrop and NameDrop enforcement?
This behaviour introduces a compliance gap for organisations relying on MDM to control data exfiltration on unsupervised or user-enrolled devices. Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
we use an MDM profile that enables FDA for our program. The Identifier is set to be the path to our program. We'd like to have a profile that allows multiple CodeSignatures. Our older programs are signed with a different certificate than the current ones.
We tried deploying 2 profiles (one for the 'old certificate' signed binary and the other for the 'new certificate' signed binary). But it looks like that MacOS accepts only one.
I have also tried to use ProfileCreator to generate a profile with 2 entries, but it fails to do it. Manually editing the XML file and adding new entries does not work either.
I'd like to know if there's a workaround for this issue.
Hi
We've had an Enterprise Developer a/c for years. But last year they asked a bunch a questions to confirm we were a company. I answered them all and then it said it would review the answers. Were a big company and answered these questions before so just expected it to go through.
Then our Enterprise Program a/c was up for renewal in April. But the money was never taken from the company cc and every expiry date the renewal date keeps moving forward a month. Its now been moved to Sep 2025. Either were getting April-Sep free or were going to be landed with a CC bill for 12+5 months soon. Anyone else seeing this.
Is there an email or webpage for Enterprise a/c support? We have the money :)
Why don't obtain equipment list (https://mdmenrollment.apple.com/server/devices) interface returns "device_family" contour information. This interface only returns some fields, and many field values are not returned
We are facing an issue with Platform SSO registration on macOS devices for AD-bound user accounts with Microsoft EntraID configuration.
We are using the Platform SSO payload on macOS devices integrated with Entra ID, and it works as expected — registration completes successfully, and the password syncs with the Entra ID password.
However, when we try the same on macOS devices with AD-bound (mobile) user accounts, the registration does not complete. To elaborate, the process successfully completes the initial WebView authentication but fails at the stage where Apple prompts for the password to sync the local macOS user’s password with the Entra ID password.
It does not display any error, and even after entering a valid password, the process does not proceed further. However, when we try the same on a non-AD user account, it works fine.
We have checked with Microsoft, and they confirmed that there are no restrictions on their side for AD-bound accounts. Since the issue appears to occur at the Apple system level, they advised us to reach Apple teams on this.
Could you please check and let us know how we can proceed with this?

📱 [iOS 26.1 beta 2] allowCamera restriction not working properly on both supervised and BYOD devices
Details:
Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max
System: iOS 26.1 beta 2
Issue Description:
When testing MDM device restriction capabilities on iOS 26.1 beta 2, I found that the allowCamera restriction does not work as expected.
Observed Behavior:
• On a BYOD device:
When allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps disappear from the Home Screen, as expected.
However, third-party apps (such as WeChat) can still access the camera and take photos.
• On earlier versions (e.g. iOS 26.0.1):
Setting allowCamera to false correctly blocks all apps, including third-party apps, from accessing the camera.
Initially, I assumed Apple might have changed this restriction behavior so that allowCamera only applies to supervised devices.
However, after testing on supervised devices, I found that even there, when allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps are hidden, but third-party apps can still use the camera.
This indicates that the restriction is not functioning correctly in iOS 26.1 beta 2.
Expectation:
When allowCamera is set to false, all camera access — including third-party apps — should be blocked.
Request:
Could someone from Apple’s development or MDM team confirm whether this is an expected behavior change or a potential bug in iOS 26.1 beta 2?

Device Management
Steps to Reproduce
Step 1: Fetch Initial Device List
Called the device list endpoint to retrieve all devices and saved the cursor:
GET https://mdmenrollment.apple.com/server/devices
Step 2: Modify Devices
Added and deleted several devices via https://business.apple.com/
Step 3: Sync Without Pagination
Called the sync endpoint using the cursor from Step 1 (no limit):
GET https://mdmenrollment.apple.com/devices/sync?cursor={step1_cursor}
Result: Returned 3 device records as expected:
{
"devices": [
{
"serial_number": "F70JJ4C16L",
"op_type": "added",
"op_date": "2025-12-11T07:05:05Z"
},
{
"serial_number": "F70JJ4C16L",
"op_type": "deleted",
"op_date": "2025-12-11T07:04:36Z"
},
{
"serial_number": "C8RWGXZXJWF5",
"op_type": "deleted",
"op_date": "2025-12-11T07:04:52Z"
}
],
"more_to_follow": false
}
Step 4: Sync With Pagination (First Page)
Called the sync endpoint using the same cursor from Step 1 with limit=1:
GET https://mdmenrollment.apple.com/devices/sync?cursor={step1_cursor}&limit=1
Result: Returned 1 record with more_to_follow: true — indicating more data exists:
{
"devices": [
{
"serial_number": "F70JJ4C16L",
"op_type": "added",
"op_date": "2025-12-11T07:05:05Z"
}
],
"more_to_follow": true,
"cursor": "MTowOjE3NjU0MzgyNDI5ODc6..."
}
Step 5: Sync With Pagination (Second Page)
Called the sync endpoint using the cursor from Step 4 with limit=1:
{
"devices": [],
"more_to_follow": false
}
Expected Behavior
When paginating with limit=1, the API should return all 3 records across 3 sequential requests.
Actual Behavior
Without pagination: Returns 3 records ✓
With pagination (limit=1): Returns only 1 record, then empty array ✗
2 records are missing when using pagination.
Impact
This inconsistency makes the sync API unreliable for incremental device synchronization workflows.

Hello all,
My question is, how to get APP (specialized in make SOPs for industrial users) that has already been listed outside of mainland China to be listed on apple store of mainland China?
Can I simply refile it to cover China mainland with existing apple developer account or do I have to create a new local apple developer account to start the listing process?
Your advise and help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you,

We are attempting to block the attachment of photos from the Photos/Gallery app when sending emails or sharing on social media applications such as Gmail, Outlook, and other platforms. These are MDM Managed Applications While file attachments (e.g., PDFs, documents) are successfully blocked, photo attachments are not being restricted, allowing users to attach photos without limitations.
We are applying the below restriction to the device through an MDM
allowOpenFromUnmanagedToManaged: false
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/restrictions
Steps to Reproduce:
Open the Photos or Gallery app on a mobile device.
Open Gmail, Outlook, or a social media application (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
Open the Photos or Gallery app on a mobile device.
Select a photo to attach.
Try to attach the selected photo to an email or post.
Observe that the photo is successfully attached, despite restrictions on file attachments.

Hello,
I’m facing an issue while trying to add iOS devices to Apple Business Manager (ABM) using Apple Configurator during enrollment. When going through the setup process, the device fails to complete enrollment and times out.
I’ve tried it multiple times. The device does appear in ABM during the process and I am able to assign it to different MDM servers but since the setup times out and fails, the device is automatically released. I have tried this with multiple iOS devices and it times out on every single one of them.
Steps attempted:
Factory reset and re-enrollment of the device
Ensured network connectivity is stable and tested on multiple Wi-Fi networks
Tried the following process using Apple Configurator on Mac (wired):
Created a Wi-Fi profile in Configurator
Connected the iPhone via cable and used Prepare (manual configuration)
Used the “MDM server” placeholder and trusted anchors (as recommended)
Linked the device to the ABM organization
Skipped Setup Assistant steps
Attached the Wi-Fi profile, then prepared and wiped the device
Verified that the device should appear in ABM
Attempted to assign the device to my MDM in ABM
Despite these checks, the enrollment process times out.
I’m attaching a screenshot of the error for reference.
Could someone advise what might be causing this timeout or how I can further troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Device Management
We are experiencing an issue with Apple Business Manager (ABM) synchronization that is blocking our device management workflow.
Issue Description:
During the ABM sync process in our MDM, we receive the error:
"ABM Terms and Conditions not signed."
What We’ve Checked:
Logged into the ABM portal as the Administrator and confirmed that the latest Terms and Conditions.
Attempted to renew the ABM token on our existing server, but the same error message continues to appear in MDM. Tried creating a brand new ABM server integration, which also fails with the same error.
We checked with our MDM provider and they shared the logs, response received from ABM. It says T_C_NOT_SIGNED. But we have already accepted all the new Terms in ABM.
We would appreciate any help in resolving this issue or guidance on what steps to take next.
I've account access level of developer. I want to create app specific password but go through the account but could not get any option to do so. Can somebody help me on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am experiencing an issue with in-house apps on iOS 18.
When the MDM profile is removed, newly installed in-house apps cannot be opened.
However, previously installed in-house apps still work fine until the device is restarted.
Context:
Our in-house apps are not distributed via MDM but through an internal company app store.
These apps are signed with an enterprise certificate and have been working fine on previous iOS versions.
Steps to reproduce:
Install an in-house app while the MDM profile is active -> The app works fine.
Remove the MDM profile.
Install a new in-house app (signed with the same enterprise certificate)
The newly installed app does not open at all.
The existing in-house apps installed before MDM removal continue to work normally.
Restart the device.
Now, even the previously installed in-house apps no longer open.
Observed behavior:
The newly installed in-house app does not open, and no trust prompt appears in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
The previously installed in-house apps continue to function normally until the device is restarted.
After restarting, none of the in-house apps open anymore.
Is there a now restriction in iOS 18 regarding in-house app installation after MDM removal?
Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Can I upload custom app onto the ABM? if yes then how can we install it into the user's devices?
Topic:
Business & Education
SubTopic:

Issue Description:
We are experiencing MDM profile installation failures specifically on iPhone 17
devices. After extensive testing and comparison between affected and working
devices, we suspect this appears to be a parameter transmission error rather
than device settings.
Technical Analysis:
Device Settings Comparison: No differences found between problematic and
working devices in system settings, indicating this is not a configuration
issue.
Suspected Parameter Transmission Error:
• Device model information appears to be restricted or blocked during profile
download
• User ID and phone number parameters are not being transmitted to the server
• Installation logs show missing login ID and phone number entries
Symptoms:
• During MDM profile installation, the "Apps & Restrictions" section that should
appear is missing
• Profile download parameters are suspected to not be properly transmitted to
the server
• Installation process fails at the profile configuration stage
Critical Finding:
When we cloned a previously working device to create a problematic device
configuration, the cloned device also began experiencing the same installation
failures. This strongly suggests the issue is related to device-specific
parameters or identifiers.
Additional Information:
We continue to receive reports of this issue from our iPhone 17 users, and these
reports are occurring across various iOS versions.
Request for Assistance:
Has anyone encountered similar MDM profile installation issues on iPhone 17? Are
there known limitations or changes in how device parameters are transmitted
during MDM enrollment on this model?
Any guidance on debugging parameter transmission or known workarounds would be
greatly appreciated.

I'm the IT Admin in my company. We use Microsoft Intune, which is a Mobile Device Management tool, to manage our devices and apps. I created an app protection policy, restricting the data can only be shared between the allowed apps. For example, if our user want to copy the content in Outlook for iOS to WeChat or personal memo, the action will be blocked.
However, may be it's too strict, here is the scenario that we need to hadle: A user selected the content in the Outlook for iOS mail, and wanted to use the "translate" function to do translation. Before the app protection policy was deployed, he can do the translation successfully. And now, it's blocked.
Therefore, we need to find a way to exempt the app "Translate" so that users can do the translation successfully. We put the value "com.apple.Translate"(this is a package ID listed in the official document of Apple) to the exemption, but it's not working.
May I know what is the correct "value" for the iOS native Translate APP? I need to put this value to our app protection policy to exempt Translate app.
Thank you so much.
