Apple Sign In Not Returning
I am having trouble with one of my apps that will not let me log in via Apple Sign In. I am using Firebase and Firebase UI for the sign in process. I have many other apps with the same exact config that currently work just fine, but this one I have gone as far as completely deleting the targets and rebuilding and it will not return from the login screen I checked the following: Sign in with Apple ID Capability is available in XCode and on the dev certificate on developer.apple.com I have also toggled both of them on and off. I have double checked the config in Firebase to turn on the Apple Login identifier. Again I have toggle it on and off. I have cleaned the project multiple times to no avail. I have logged out and back into my developer account in XCode. It seams like after I put in the correct password to log in, it just never returns to the app, there is no logging. I do get a notified(shaking input box) if I put in an incorrect password, but when I put in the correct one, the login window never dismisses and my app is not notified. I checked the Console and the last message from akd on a working app is: Notifying client (bundle) of credential state change 1. Remote view sent a finish event On the one not working, using the same user and password akd returns: SRP authentication with server failed! Error: Error Domain=com.apple.AppleIDAuthSupport Code=2 "M2 missing (bad password) I have 100% verified I am putting in the correct user password. I was only notified of this issue because Policy is having the same issue logging in during App Review. Also, if I put in a bad password the input window shakes and when this is happening, the input window is not shaking

Why does appleid.apple.com/auth/authorize throw an "invalid_client" error?
Hi https://appleid.apple.com/auth/authorize?client_id=com.adobe.services.adobeid-na1.web shows: invalid_request But https://appleid.apple.com/auth/authorize?client_id=xrqxnpjgps shows: invalid_client I've created a Primary App ID and ticked "Sign In with Apple". I've created a Service ID and ticked "Sign In with Apple" (identifier is xrqxnpjgps). When I click "Configure" for the "Sign In with Apple" of the Service ID, it is linked to the Primary App ID. Why do I get an invalid_client error? I've contacted the support by mail, and have been redirected here, does someone here have the ability/access/knowledge/will to figure out the cause and then tell me? Regards

Sign In with Apple fails: Error -7003 (AKAuthenticationError) and 1001 (ASAuthorizationError)
I'm developing a Unity iOS app using the official "Sign In with Apple" Unity plugin (v1.5.0), and I'm encountering persistent errors during authentication. Here’s the full context: App Info: Unity version: 6000.0.32f1 Bundle ID: com.pfcgaming.applesignin Sign In with Apple enabled in the Apple Developer portal Real iOS device, not simulator Error Logs: txt Copy Edit Authorization failed: Error Domain=AKAuthenticationError Code=-7003 "(null)" UserInfo={AKClientBundleID=com.pfcgaming.applesignin} ASAuthorizationController credential request failed with error: Error Domain=com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError Code=1001 "(null)" Description: The operation couldn’t be completed. No credentials available for login. What I’ve Done So Far: Verified "Sign In with Apple" is enabled under the App ID in developer.apple.com. Provisioning profile has been regenerated with correct entitlements. Xcode project has the “Sign In with Apple” capability added. Tested on multiple real iOS devices with iCloud + Keychain enabled. Tried both PerformQuickLogin() and LoginWithAppleId() approaches in the plugin. My Observations: These errors started occurring right after enabling "Sign In with Apple" in the developer portal. Based on some community feedback, there may be a backend propagation delay after enabling SIWA (Sign In With Apple) which might cause these errors. Questions: Is it expected to receive error -7003 or 1001 immediately after enabling SIWA in the Developer Portal? How long does it typically take for entitlement changes to fully propagate? Is there any Apple-recommended workaround to test during this wait time? Any insight or confirmation would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Authentication Services uses Safari when it is not the default browser and fails the flow anyway
We are developing an app that uses Authentication Services to authenticate users. According to the documentation, this framework will open the default web browser if it supports auth session handling, and Safari otherwise. This is not entirely true, and users will be frustrated! macOS version: Sequoia 15.5; Safari version: 18.5. When: The default browser is not Safari, and supports auth session handling (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge as examples); and - The Safari app is already running; The auth flow will: Present the confirmation dialog box with the default browser icon. Good! Open a Safari window, instead of the default browser's one. Bad! Respond with "User Cancelled" error to the app, after making the end user believe the auth was good. Very Bad!! If the app retries the auth session, the default browser window will open as expected, and it will work as expected. However, requiring users to authenticate twice is a very bad users experience... This issue does not reproduce, when either: Safari is not running at the moment of auth session start; The default browser does not support auth session handling; or - Safari is the default browser. Fellow developers, be warned! Apple engineers, feedback #18426939 is waiting for you. Cheers!

Why won't my AutoFill Credential Provider show up in the context menu of a generic textfield?
I noticed, that even though my AutoFill Credential Provider Extension works with Safari for both Passwords and Passkeys, it doesn't work in context menus inside arbitrary textfields, meanwhile the same is true for the Apple Passwords app. This is a great hit to AutoFill productivity, as my extension is unable to fill textfields by just going to the context menu and clicking AutoFill > Passwords.. Is this a feature only available to Apple via private APIs, or is this something I can interface with? I checked and the Passwords app does use some undocumented but non-private entitlements: [Key] com.apple.authentication-services.access-credential-identities [Value] [Bool] true I also checked the responsible executable for some hints (AutoFillPanelService) however found nothing that would lead me to believe this is a public extension point. Another idea I had was trying to use a macOS Service for this, however Services in the "General" category won't show up in any context menu, only in the Application's Main Menu.

Emerging Issue with macOS Tahoe 26.1 – Full Disk Access (FDA) Behaviour
Hello Team, We’ve recently started receiving reports from our customer base (Trellix) regarding issues with Full Disk Access (FDA) for Trellix binaries on macOS devices running Tahoe 26.1 (released on November 3, 2025). The issue occurs when users attempt to add Trellix CLI binaries under FDA to grant the required permissions; the binaries fail to appear under the FDA settings, even after selection. Upon further investigation, this appears to be a macOS 26.1–specific issue and not observed in earlier versions. Similar reports have been noted across various forums, indicating that the issue affects multiple binaries, not just Trellix: Some of the discussions on the same issue I see online. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/806187 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/806156 https://forum.logik.tv/t/macos-26-1-installation-issue-wait-before-updating/13761 https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/1os1ph3/cant_add_anything_to_privacy_security_full_disk/ I have also logged FB21009024 for the same. We would like to understand when we can expect this to be fixed, since the issue persists even in 26.2 Beta and also whether the workaround of dragging and dropping the binaries can still be suggested?

Sign in with Apple ends unexpectedly with code 1001
We're integrating Sign in with Apple into our iOS app using both SwiftUI and UIKit. The Apple ID login UI appears correctly on real devices, but after tapping Continue, the system immediately stops and shows code 1001. This issue happens across multiple devices and Apple ID accounts, even with no prior login history. We’ve confirmed the following: Sign in with Apple is enabled in both Developer Portal and Xcode Capabilities Automatic signing and provisioning are set correctly Device is signed into iCloud and system time is synced Performed clean build, app reinstall, and other standard debugging steps We suspect that the sign-in process may not be completing properly due to some kind of account or server-side restriction, and we’d appreciate any insights into this behavior.

Critical iOS Activation Vulnerability
There’s a critical, actively exploited vulnerability in Apple’s iOS activation servers allowing unauthenticated XML payload injection: https://cyberpress.org/apple-ios-activation-vulnerability/ This flaw targets the core activation process, bypassing normal security checks. Despite the severity, it’s barely discussed in public security channels. Why is this not being addressed or publicly acknowledged? Apple developers and security researchers should urgently review and audit activation flows—this is a direct attack vector on device trust integrity. Any insights or official response appreciated.

appleid.apple.com IPv6 support
Hi, I've been developing an app with a server. I'm hosting the server on an IPv6-ONLY network that's hidden behind the CloudFlare, so it works flawlessly from the clients point of view, but if server needs to access external resources, they need to be accessible over IPv6. As it turns out, appleid.apple.com doesn't support IPv6, and the Sign In with Apple happens with the help of my server. So, I can't sign users in as Apple doesn't support IPv6 traffic on appleid.apple.com. Are there any plans to support IPv6 in the near future, or should I work on the networking setup to enable IPv4 just for the Apple SSO? Or maybe there's a clever workaround I'm missing?

how can i pass the passkeyRegistration back to the user agent(web)
After registe Passkey with webauthn library, i create a passkeyRegistration with follow, let passkeyRegistration = ASPasskeyRegistrationCredential(relyingParty: serviceIdentifier, clientDataHash: clientDataHashSign, credentialID: credentialId, attestationObject: attestationObject) and then completeRegistrationRequest like that, extensionContext.completeRegistrationRequest(using: passkeyRegistration) But a bad outcome occurred from user agent. NotAllowedError:The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context. And the return data rawID & credentialPublicKey is empty,

Background Unix executable not appearing in Screen Recording permissions UI (macOS Tahoe 26.1)
Our background monitoring application uses a Unix executable that requests Screen Recording permission via CGRequestScreenCaptureAccess(). This worked correctly in macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, but broke in 26.1. Issue: After calling CGRequestScreenCaptureAccess() in macOS Tahoe 26.1: System dialog appears and opens System Settings Our executable does NOT appear in the Screen Recording list Manually adding via "+" button grants permission internally, but the executable still doesn't show in the UI Users cannot verify or revoke permissions Background: Unix executable runs as a background process (not from Terminal) Uses Accessibility APIs to retrieve window titles Same issue occurs with Full Disk Access permissions Environment: macOS Tahoe 26.1 (worked in 26.0.1) Background process (not launched from Terminal) Questions: Is this a bug or intentional design change in 26.1? What's the recommended approach for background executables to properly register with TCC? Are there specific requirements (Info.plist, etc.) needed? This significantly impacts user experience as they cannot manage permissions through the UI. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Implementing Password AutoFill on macOS — Looking for Guidance
Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a native macOS app (built with SwiftUI) and I'm trying to implement Password AutoFill functionality so users can use their saved credentials from Keychain or third-party password managers. I've gone through Apple's documentation, WWDC sessions, and sample code, but I've noticed that the resources primarily focus on iOS and web implementations. There's very limited guidance specifically for macOS. I've set up: Associated Domains entitlement with the webcredentials: service The apple-app-site-association file on my server TextField with .textContentType(.username) and SecureField with .textContentType(.password) However, I'm still not seeing the expected AutoFill behavior on macOS like I would on iOS. Has anyone successfully implemented Password AutoFill on a native macOS app? Are there any macOS-specific considerations or additional steps required that differ from iOS? Any guidance, sample code, or pointers to documentation I might have missed would be greatly appreciated.

DCDevice.current.generateToken Is it safe to cache tokens for less than 1s ?
We have a crash on DCDevice.current.isSupported We want to try to make a serial queue to generate tokens but the side effect would be the same token would be used on multiple server API requests that are made within a few ms of each other? Is this safe or will the Apple server immediately reject the same token being reused? Can you share how long tokens are safe to use for? Here is the code we want to try final actor DeviceTokenController: NSObject { static var shared: DeviceTokenController = .init() private var tokenGenerationTask: Task<Data?, Never>? var ephemeralDeviceToken: Data? { get async { // Re-using the token for short periods of time if let existingTask = tokenGenerationTask { return await existingTask.value } let task = Task<Data?, Never> { guard DCDevice.current.isSupported else { return nil } do { return try await DCDevice.current.generateToken() } catch { Log("Failed to generate ephemeral device token", error) return nil } } tokenGenerationTask = task let result = await task.value tokenGenerationTask = nil return result } } }

Apple SignIn, issuer changed?
Hi! We're having issues with the sign in flow, starting today. As per the documentation, the issuer of the tokens should be https://appleid.apple.com sign in docs. But in the published configuration, it is now stated as https://account.apple.com metadata endpoint. Once the token is received through the sign in flow, the issuer is however still appleid.apple.com. This is causing problems for us where we expect the issuer in the metadata endpoint to be the same as the actual token issuer. What is correct here?

FIPS140-3 Compliance Intel
Apple's submission for FIPS140-3 (https://support.apple.com/guide/certifications/macos-security-certifications-apc35eb3dc4fa/web) has no mention of review for Intel or Intel T2 in FIPS Compliance on Tahoe. Is there any effort for this or will there be any effort? Has there any been any word that Intel as an architecture is completely out of the picture for FIPS140-3?

HTTPS Connection Issues Following iOS 26 Beta 6 Update
Hi. We are writing to report a critical issue we've encountered following the recent release of iOS 26 beta 6. After updating our test devices, we discovered that our application is no longer able to establish HTTPS connections to several of our managed FQDNs. This issue was not present in beta 5 and appears to be a direct result of changes introduced in beta 6. The specific FQDNs that are currently unreachable are: d.socdm.com i.socdm.com tg.scodm.com We have reviewed the official iOS & iPadOS 26 Beta 6 Release Notes, particularly the updates related to TLS. While the notes mention changes, we have confirmed that our servers for all affected FQDNs support TLS 1.2, so we believe they should still be compliant. We have also investigated several of Apple's support documents regarding TLS connection requirements (e.g., HT214774, HT214041), but the information does not seem to apply to our situation, and we are currently unable to identify the root cause of this connection failure. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102028 https://support.apple.com/en-us/103214 Although we hope this issue might be resolved in beta 7 or later, the official release is fast approaching, and this has become a critical concern for us. Could you please provide any advice or insight into what might be causing this issue? Any guidance on potential changes in the networking or security frameworks in beta 6 that could affect TLS connections would be greatly appreciated. We have attached the relevant code snippet that triggers the error, along with the corresponding Xcode logs, for your review. Thank you for your time and assistance. #import "ViewController.h" @interface ViewController () @end @implementation ViewController - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://i.socdm.com/sdk/js/adg-script-loader-b-stg.js"]; NSMutableURLRequest *req = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:url cachePolicy:NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData timeoutInterval:30.0]; [self sendWithRequest:req completionHandler:^(NSData *_Nullable data, NSHTTPURLResponse *_Nonnull response, NSError *_Nullable error) { if (error){ NSLog(@"Error occurred: %@", error.localizedDescription); return; }else{ NSLog(@"Success! Help with Passkey Registration & Authentication on iOS 17 (Credential Provider + Error Code 1004)
I’m implementing passkey registration and authentication in an iOS 17 app with a credential provider extension, but I’m running into an issue. Setup: I have a credential provider target configured. The app correctly shows the pop-up to register the passkey with my app. My Info.plist is set up properly. Issue: When the following function is triggered: override func prepareInterface(forPasskeyRegistration registrationRequest: ASCredentialRequest) { "code to generate registrationRequest..." let controller = ASAuthorizationController(authorizationRequests: [registrationRequest]) controller.delegate = self controller.presentationContextProvider = self controller.performRequests() } I get the following error: Domain=com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError Code=1004 I do not own the relying party domain (e.g., https://webauthn.io), so I cannot configure an apple-app-site-association file on the website. Question: How can I register and authenticate passkeys on any site that allows passkeys (such as webauthn.io) when I don’t control the webpage? Are there any workarounds or best practices for handling this in iOS 17? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

We have a crash on DCDevice.current.isSupported We want to try to make a serial queue to generate tokens but the side effect would be the same token would be used on multiple server API requests that are made within a few ms of each other? Is this safe or will the Apple server immediately reject the same token being reused? Can you share how long tokens are safe to use for? Here is the code we want to try final actor DeviceTokenController: NSObject { static var shared: DeviceTokenController = .init() private var tokenGenerationTask: Task<Data?, Never>? var ephemeralDeviceToken: Data? { get async { // Re-using the token for short periods of time if let existingTask = tokenGenerationTask { return await existingTask.value } let task = Task<Data?, Never> { guard DCDevice.current.isSupported else { return nil } do { return try await DCDevice.current.generateToken() } catch { Log("Failed to generate ephemeral device token", error) return nil } } tokenGenerationTask = task let result = await task.value tokenGenerationTask = nil return result } } }
