Upon installing a new version of the OS, various processes run that might use a little more battery than usual. Just let it all sort itself out. It might take a few days. Don't worry about it.

Are you having issues installing it? Are you seeing any errors when you follow the installation instructions? What have you already tried? We can't really help you with this. How about you try the installation instructions that BioPerl provides, and if you have issues, contact them for help?

The photos are recent photos, though, regardless of what they contain. There is a Recents view that shows your recent photos, i.e. photos that you took recently. Just put your photos in the albums as required. They will still remain in the recents view because they are still recent photos.

When you set an app to be hidden, you see a popup that says, "App content will not appear in notification preview software Spotlight". It doesn't remove it from every aspect of the OS. If you think it shouldn't be seen where you say, then may I suggest you raise a feedback report with Apple? It won't really get any traction just here as a post in a forum that's supposed to be for third-party developers, i.e. not Apple employees, to discuss issues in their code. No need to SHOUT... What Mac are you running Sequoia on? Does the Mirroring app appear in /Applications? You say it's not connecting, is there an error? What's the error message? Are you able to run the Mirroring app? This is like saying, "My car isn't working", and not telling the recovery guys what the issue is.
