Mapkit Type
Hello, how can I turn this standard map view into a Satellite map view? Thanks //  MapView.swift //  Grindelwald View // //  Created by Roman Indermühle on 15.04.22. // import MapKit import SwiftUI struct City: Identifiable {     let id = UUID()     let name: String     let coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D } struct MapView: View {          @State private var region = MKCoordinateRegion(center: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: 46.62407, longitude: 8.03434), span: MKCoordinateSpan(latitudeDelta: 0.17, longitudeDelta: 0.17))               let annotations = [         City(name: "Burglauenen", coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: 46.63649, longitude: 7.97512)),         City(name: "Stalden", coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: 46.63937, longitude: 7.97216)),         City(name: "Stalden2", coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: 46.63873, longitude: 7.96684))                       ]               var body: some View {         Map(coordinateRegion: $region, annotationItems: annotations) {             MapMarker(coordinate: $0.coordinate)                                   }                       }      } struct MapView_Previews: PreviewProvider {     static var previews: some View {         MapView()     } }

Detail view for images
Hello, how can I add a detail view to this code? I want to show the image in a detail view and that for every image single. import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View {     var images: [String] = ["noaa1", "noaa2", "noaa3", "noaa4", "noaa5", "noaa6", "noaa7", "noaa8", "noaa9", "noaa10", "noaa11", "noaa12", "noaa13", "noaa14", "noaa15", "noaa16", "noaa17", "noaa18"]          var columnGrid: [GridItem] = [GridItem(.flexible()), GridItem(.flexible())]          var body: some View {             ScrollView {                 LazyVGrid(columns: columnGrid) {                     ForEach(images, id: \.self) { image in                         Image(image)                             .resizable()                             .scaledToFit()                             .cornerRadius(10)                                      }             }         }     }          struct ContentView_Previews: PreviewProvider {         static var previews: some View {             ContentView()         }     } }

Save images in SwiftData
Hello everyone, Is there a better solution than my approach out there to convert an image to data and back? @Model class User { var name: String @Attribute(.externalStorage) var image: Data? var createdAt: Date init(name: String, image: Data, createdAt: Date = .now) { self.name = name self.image = image self.createdAt = createdAt } } if let selectedPhotoData = imageData, let uiImage = UIImage(data: selectedPhotoData) { Image(uiImage: uiImage) .resizable() .scaledToFill() .frame(width: 300, height: 300, alignment: .center) .clipShape(Circle()) } .task(id: selectedPhoto) { if let data = try? await selectedPhoto?.loadTransferable(type: Data.self) { imageData = data } }

CloudKit + SwiftData
I am currently working on an app that utilizes SwiftData, and I am planning to integrate CloudKit. My current challenge involves managing a Day object that gets inserted when the date changes to track daily progress. Additionally, I want to prompt users to create a username during the app's onboarding process. I am concerned that this could lead to synchronization issues, such as duplicate entries for the same day or multiple user accounts being created. I assume blocking the app until everything is synced from CloudKit is not a practical solution. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle this? Furthermore, I would like to implement a community feature where users can post content. I noticed that CloudKit offers a public database. Is this database suitable for such a feature, or would I need to develop a separate backend to support it?

SceneKit
Helle there Currently, I’m attempting to create an interactive learning application with a 3D view. I’ve discovered the framework SceneKit, but I lack the necessary knowledge to animate, load and moving objects. Could someone kindly suggest some good articles or tutorials on this topic?

RealityKit not behaving as expected
This week, I developed a small multiplatform RealityKit project. I also created a demo scene in Reality Composer Pro. Afterward, I imported the local package into the project. Running the project on macOS works perfectly. However, when I tried to run it on my iPhone, I encountered a permission error indicating that it couldn’t read the package. This seems unusual to me because I assumed that the dependency is bundled into the binary file. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I pushed the RCP package to GitHub, hoping it would work. Fortunately, everything compiles successfully now, but the loading time is significantly long, and the animations don’t play on tap gestures. Could someone please help me identify the root cause of this problem?

Image cropping
Currently, I’m working on developing a small macOS utility tool for my photography. In my camera, I have a digital zoom feature. I prefer using this feature when I shoot both JPEG and DNG files. While the JPEG is already cropped to the desired format, the DNG file contains metadata (DefaultUserCrop: 0.22, 0.22, 0.78, 0.78). For instance, when I open that DNG file in Lightroom, it pre-crops the image non-destructively. However, I prefer using Pixelmator Pro for editing. Unfortunately, Pixelmator Pro doesn’t have this feature. So, I thought I could create an app that allows me to pre-crop the image for editing in Pixelmator Pro afterward. Does someone have a better idea or some hints on how I could solve it?

RealityKit migration
Hey there, I’m currently planning to use RealityKit in a new multiplatform app I’m building. Unfortunately, I noticed that WatchOS is not supported for RealityKit, while SceneKit is getting deprecated. However, I’d like to maintain the same codebase across platforms. What are my options?

Xcode autosave issue
Lately, I keep getting this warning when closing Xcode asking if I want to save the changes. Strangely enough, I have never received this before. I looked to see if I could disable and enable autosave. Unfortunately I have not found anything. Does anyone have any tips?

Sign in with Apple
Hey there, I’m currently exploring the possibility of integrating Sign in with Apple into my iOS app and backend. Regarding the iOS app, I’ve read that when a user is signed in, you always need to call getCredentialState on the app’s launch. Is this true? If so, how is it possible to sign the user out then? I intend to incorporate SwiftData and CloudKit into my application. In light of this, I’m curious about your approach to user management. Specifically, I’m wondering if you would store the user’s data in a Redis database after successful authentication on the backend. Or, would you separate the user data and save it using SwiftData/ CloudKit?
