HI, I have a Swift UI app in the mac appstore in the upcoming release we have made lots of changes and it is working fine in debug mode but in production with testflight or direct distribution we are getting the following crash while working in the app. this is happening in the rendering phase. I am looking for a reliable, programmatic way to discover the IP address assigned to a guest (both macOS and Linux). Is there a recommended "Sandbox-safe" API or pattern within the Virtualization framework—or a lower-level networking entitlement—that allows a host application to retrieve the guest's assigned IP address? This is working fine with intel macs. i am getting the problem in apple silicon m4 mac mini. Any help would be appreciated.

I see this in Tahoe Beta release notes macOS now supports the Apple Sparse Image Format (ASIF). These space-efficient images can be created with the diskutil image command-line tool or the Disk Utility application and are suitable for various uses, including as a backing store for virtual machines storage via the Virtualization framework. Hi all, I'm trying to add Spotlight support to a macOS app that handles custom virtual machine bundles with the .vpvm extension. I’ve followed the current documentation and used the modern CSImportExtension approach with a Spotlight Importer extension target. Here’s what I’ve done: App Info.plist: Declared com.makeprog.vpvm as a UTI conforming to com.apple.package. Registered it under UTExportedTypeDeclarations and CFBundleDocumentTypes. Spotlight Importer Extension: Added a new macOS target using the Spotlight Import Extension template. Set the NSExtensionPointIdentifier to com.apple.spotlight.import. Used CSSupportedContentTypes = com.makeprog.vpvm. Implemented a minimal update(_ attributes:forFileAt:) method that sets displayName, title, and contentDescription. Other steps: Verified that the .appex is embedded under Contents/PlugIns/. Confirmed it appears in mdimport -e output with correct UTI. Used mdimport -m -d2 -t /path/to/file.vpvm, but I still get: Imported '/path/to/file.vpvm' of type 'com.makeprog.vpvm' with no plugIn. The extension is never invoked. Hi, I would like to reset system window private picker alert with ScreenCapture kit. i can reset the ScreenCapture permission with tccutil reset ScreenCapture. but it does not reset the system window private picker alert. i tried deleting the application directory from container and it does not help. the system window private picker alert uses the old approval i gave and it does not prompt a new alert. How can i starta with fresh screencapture kit settings for an app in testing? Thanks

I’ve developed a virtual machine manager application using the macOS Virtualization framework. The application currently supports both NAT and bridged networking configurations. I’m now looking to implement host-only networking, where the guest VM can communicate with the host but not with external networks. I am using macOS virtualization farmework and able to create nad and run VMS. I need to resize the disk images using hdiutil in app sandbox environment. Is that possible? i tried disabling sandbox and it worked ok. But with sandbox i get the error message device is not configured. If this cant be done in sandbox what could be the alternative way to to achive this in sandboxed app. thanks

Hi, In mac os swift ui application when i set window.isReleasedWhenClosed and when i close the window the app is getting crashed with exc_bad_access. but when i leave it to default value the app is not crashing. for some windows setting window.isReleasedWhenClosed to true is woking properly when closing the windows. But for some windows it is crashing. If i dont set it to true the window is not removed from NSApplication.shared.windows sometimes. I am confused about setting isReleasedWhenClosed to true Could someone calrify on this please. thank in advance.

I have developed an app to create and run virual machines using mac os virtualization framework for apple siicon and intel macs. I have tried ubuntu, fedora, debian & linux mint distros and they all worked fine with intel macs. But when i try to run other distros like mx linux, manjaro, pop os, endevour os etc on intel mac they all on booting iso just shows the black screen. is there any list of officilay support linux distros for intel macs and apple silicon. the support of linux distros are fairly limited or am i missing something.
