Hello! I'm suddenly having some difficulty debugging a Flutter-based app. When I run an app from VS Code, it launches Xcode and builds & installs the app on an iPhone running 18.1. However, once the app is installed on the phone, it disappears and in Xcode, a dialog appears with: Failed to install embedded profile for : 0xe800801f (Attempted to install a Beta profile without the proper entitlement.) However, when I look at the provisioning profile being used, it seems to have the correct entitlement: I've also tried enabling automatic signing (instead of the current manual signing using match), as well as generating an adhoc profile and re-adding the device UDID in developers.apple.com. None of these have worked. This issue appeared within the past day or so and was working fine yesterday with no code changes, so I've been stumped. All my certs are relatively new and were issued within the past few months. I've tried regenerating the provisioning profiles using match, but this gives the same thing. What's odd is that I can run the build and upload to testflight, then download and install the app just fine through there. But this obviously makes debugging an issue.

I am working on a MacOS application in which I need System Extension along with some network extension capabilities. In order to distribute the app externally, I have to create a Developer ID application (provisioning profile) using the App ID that already has Network extension capability. Note: Instead of Developer ID application if I create a normal development provisioning profile with the same App ID, everything works perfectly fine, the only reason why we need to move to Developer ID application is because we need to distribute the app externally. I'm trying to add keychain-access-groups capability to my app for MacOs devices and I'm getting an error while signing the code. If I add this capability to an app for iOS devices, this does not happen and it works correctly. Are there any limitations to using this capability on MacOS devices? I've got a Flutter app that is a “reader” app. The External Link Account Entitlement has already been requested and granted. It is already added as an Additional Capability to the App ID. The com.apple.developer.storekit.external-link.account entitlement is already present in the .entitlements file. Also SKExternalLinkAccount key is added to the Info.plist file with the correct URL. ExternalLinkAccount.open() is invoked via a MethodChannel call handler and things work perfectly in debug mode. The modal appears as expected and opens the link in the external browser. Xcode archive is also sucessful and the entitlement seems to be in place when inspecting the app with: codesign -d --entitlements :- ./path/to/app But when trying to distribute the app via Xcode the entitlement disappears. Other entitlements are not affected by this issue, eg.: com.apple.developer.associated-domains for universal links. This happens with automatically managed singing and a manually selected provisioning profile as well. When inspecting the latter in Xcode the necessary capability and entitlement is included. But when distributing to App Store Connect the entitlement disappears with both recommended and custom settings. I ran flutter clean mulitple times. What am I missing here?

hi I am using fastlane and match to upload an app to test flight. The app requires com.apple.developer.storekit.external-link.account to be activated. My identifier has activated the capabilities and when I look at provisional profile, it also has it, but when the app has been uploaded, it's missing (although all other entitlements are there). Now it gets weird: Every time I run my flow I delete derived data, deletes all downloaded provisional profiles and use match to redownload them with read only (force is not an option). It does not work. I go to Apple dev and Toggles the capability off and on and saves. This invalidates the profile. I press edit and save. So no real changes. Run my flow and the app is uploaded correctly WITH the correct capabilities. Runs the flow again without the manual steps and the entitlements will be missing once again. Repeats the toggle stuff and the subsequent behavior repeats itself. Same flow and same code and same settings, app and profile.... I am building automated flows so this does not really work for me.... Heeeelp...

I want to use the com.apple.vm.networking entitlement which has a note: This entitlement is restricted to developers of virtualization software. To request this entitlement, contact your Apple representative. https://developer.apple.com/support/technical/ says: « Request entitlements using entitlement forms and ask for status updates in the resulting email thread. » but I haven't been able to find these "entitlement forms". Does anyone know what the right process is to request an entitlement?

I'm working on a system extension leveraging endpoint security entitlement. However, while in development, is there a way to continue working and testing locally without having the endpoint security entitlement approved or needing the extension signed. I got these errors running a build: Provisioning profile "Mac Team Provisioning Profile: "com.xxxxx.extension" doesn't include the com.apple.developer.endpoint-security.client entitlement.

Is it correct to codesign dylib/framewoks with entitlements? My understanding is that only executables need to have the entitlement and the dylibs loaded in that process will automatically inherit those entitlements. However, I am seeing a lot of scripts on the internet that are signing dylibs as well with entitlements. For eg - # sign *.dylibs find "$APP_BUNDLE" -type f -name "*.dylib" -exec codesign --deep --force --verify --verbose --timestamp --options runtime --entitlements "$ENTITLEMENTS_FILE" --sign "$SIGNING_IDENTITY" {} \; Is this even allowed? I know of at least one app that has passed notarization checks as well. If allowed, can a dylib have more entitlements than the process that loaded it?

I was granted permissions for family controls distribution for the main target of my app. Do I also need to request permission for the other targets like ShieldConfiguration, ShieldActionExtension, etc.? If no, how can i add the distribution capabilities to those targets?

We were recently approved for the "User Assigned Device Name" for a specific app Identifier. The "Additional Capabilities" tab isn't present on that App ID. I am an admin in the developer portal, and this does not appear for the account holder as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I followed the instruction on Preparing your app to be the default browser or email client. I have acquired the permission from Apple. The entitlement is included in the provisioning profile. mailto is specified in URL Schemes. But I downloaded my app from TestFlight and enter Setting &gt; MyApp, the switch that could enable my app to be the default email app was not there. I have no clue what I did it wrong. Does anyone know how to configure the app properly?

Hi, I'm trying to integrate with Tap to Pay feature under Stripe. For this reason i need to add com.apple.developer.proximity-reader.payment.acceptance entitlement to my Identifier. I can see it under Provisioning Profile -> Enabled Capabilities. But after downloading this profile in Xcode I don't see this entitlement. What could be the reason for this discrapency?

The cert always gets stored in keychain but when I get the error message the cert "Trust" value is not "Always Trust". What should be done in the UNNotificationServiceExtension in order to prevent the display of a notification for the user? Just pass an empty UNNotificationContent object to contentHandler or something else?
