After my account was converted to an organizational account, I tried to submit a new W-9, but I get an error: "The Type of Beneficial Owner does not match the individual or company status you previously provided."
I had selected "Individual/Sole proprietor", based on my understanding that this is what should be selected on the W-9 for a single-member LLC.
My initial guess as to what's causing the error, is my single-member LLC may have been miscategorized in the migration to an organization account so the intended option doesn't work. As per the official W-9 instructions, a single-member LLC should be categorized as an "Individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC" on the form for tax purposes, but when I select "Individual/Sole Proprietor" on the "Type of Beneficiary Owner" dropdown on the App Store Connect front-end form for the W-9, which I assume corresponds with the aforementioned option on the true W-9 form that includes "single-member LLC", I get the aforementioned error.
I was alternatively informed by Developer Support that the above error may be occurring because I haven't signed the latest Apple Program License Agreement, which I haven't been able to access, which they claimed is because I hadn't provided banking information for my account.
So I added my business bank account but a week later the top of the Business section still says "Your banking updates are processing, and you should see the changes in 24 hours. You won't be able to make any additional updates until then."
I contacted Apple Developer Support about all of the above and am still waiting for a response. While I wait, I'd like to ask here whether anyone has any ideas as to why the W-9 error is occuring or how long banking changes actually take to process, in case either of these is something I can resolve in the meantime.

We applied for the Apple Developer Program more than two weeks ago, and our application is completely stuck with no updates or clear next steps. Despite providing all required documents (Company registration, D-U-N-S number, ID verification, etc. and several times !), we are still waiting for approval, while there is nothing complicated (EU citizens, UK company)
We've reached out multiple times to Apple Support but have received no concrete answers or timeline for when our application will be reviewed. Meanwhile, we have successfully completed similar processes with Google, Meta, and financial institutions like banks or PSP, all within 48h !
How can a company like Apple treat its partners this way? The lack of transparency in the approval process is frustrating and severely impacts our timeline. This kind of experience does not inspire trust or confidence in doing business with Apple...
🔹 Has anyone else experienced such long delays in the enrollment process?
🔹 Is there any way to escalate this to get an actual response?
Apple, please address this issue and provide a clear resolution.
Thank you.

I received an email from Apple saying they couldn't auto-renew my developer subscription, due to a "billing error."
I went in and deleted my lone payment method (which looked up-to-date), and created a new one for the same credit card in my developer account for billing. All the information appears correct. I've downloaded the Developer app, where it tells me my developer subscription is good through next month. There's a Renew button underneath. If I click on it, an alert says either "Unknown Error" (first time after launching), or it says "Unable to Continue. Please ensure your device and iCloud account meet our system requirements. Visit https://developer.apple.com/support/app-account/" (subsequent times). These are near-useless error messages. Which doesn't sound like a billing error.
I don't pay anything for an iCloud account, nor wish to use an iCloud account. I'm running System 12.1 on my M1 MacBook Pro.
After an hour of talking with three different humans at 1-800-MY-APPLE, they couldn't help, basically giving up and telling me to go to developer.apple.com/support/technical. But that's for submitting a TSI (Technical Support Incident) for my own needs as a developer, not for Apple's uninformative software.
All I want to do is renew my developer subscription. Something's obviously wrong, but the automated system isn't providing enough information to continue, and the humans at the other end of the phone don't have enough information to help. The last guy I talked with threw up his hands, apologizzed, and then wished that I have a "good day."
Any suggestions?
Around 2012, we developed an Apple app. Due to the team's lack of technical maturity at the time, my partner eventually gave up on further development. Later, around 2019, I logged into one of my Apple IDs, and it showed that the registration was in progress with the button grayed out. Today, in order to register as a developer, I specifically bought a new iPhone 17 from JD.com. The process went smoothly at first, but after filling in my name and address, completing the facial verification, it just logged me out. Now, when I open Developer, the registration button is grayed out again. It’s quite frustrating. I had hoped the new phone would solve the issue. Back in 2019, I encountered the same problem—I tried logging in on different devices, including my wife’s phone and an iPad, but none worked. Could it be that even a newly registered account would face the same issue today? As someone eager to publish an app, this is truly disappointing. I’m not sure if it’s a system problem or something else. I remember that in 2012, we didn’t do anything wrong, but the team wasn’t technically mature enough, and I urged my partner to keep working on it, though he eventually gave up. Now, as I try to register again, I’ve filled in everything today—my bank card (a debit card), completed facial verification, entered my ID card details, and provided my address. But I never reached the payment step. In the end, when I open Developer, the registration button is grayed out. I hope to find out why this is happening, but I haven’t gotten any answers—just like years ago when customer support simply suggested re-registering without a clear explanation. However, registering with someone else’s information could lead to issues later on. I hope to find a solution.
i have been trying to make payment for apple developer account for over a week, my card keeps declining, I have tried several cards, they all decline. whats the problem and what’s the solution?

Hi everyone,
I’m posting this to ask for advice and see if anyone has experienced a similar issue with the Apple Developer Program subscription.
On July 9th, 2025, I registered for the Apple Developer Program via the Apple Developer app on my iPhone using my main iCloud account (Apple ID). The expected annual fee was 2,299,000 VND (~$99).
However, I just checked my billing history and saw that I was charged twice for the same subscription, both under the same Apple ID / iCloud account, on the same day.
Key Details:
I only enrolled once.
Both charges are labeled “Apple Developer Program”, exactly the same amount (2,299,000 ₫).
The payments were made through the App Store, not via the website.
My account on developer.apple.com/account still shows “Enroll Now” — meaning I haven't been activated yet.
I have not received any welcome email either.
My questions:
Is it possible to request a refund for one of the charges, since both payments came from the same iCloud account and clearly refer to the same subscription?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
How long did it take Apple to respond?
Was your refund request approved?
Should I wait for Apple to activate my account, or should I escalate the issue now?
I’ve already submitted a refund request through https://reportaproblem.apple.com, but I’m posting here in case someone has more experience or insights.
Thanks in advance!

Beginning yesterday and still continuing when I go to log into my developer account (both iOS and OS X) I am presented with a new Terms and Agreement page. The agreement is not displayed, I am unable to download the PDF and when I check the Agree box then Submit it returns me to the same page. I am unable to contact support as all of the links are invalid or I get kept being sent back tot eh Terms & Agreement page. How do I get out of this black hole?

I applied for the Apple Developer Program on 16 Feb, but my enrollment is still pending with no updates. This delay is really affecting my project timeline since I need to start marketing my app soon, and I can’t move forward without my account being approved.
I’ve already reached out to Apple Developer Support, but I haven’t gotten any clear response on when it will be completed. tried even calling the support line but they couldn't help with developer accounts. Has anyone else experienced similar delays? If so, how long did it take for your account to get approved?
Would appreciate any advice or insights! Thanks in advance.
I have received an invitation to a development team in the Apple Developer Program.
Having filled the form out and completing the image challenge successfully, tapping on continue simply results in the button graying itself out.
The JavaScript console shows the following error when this happens:
{
code: -4
data: "Destination unavailable. 500"
message: "Application error."
}
I have tried this process in Safari, Chromium, as well as on mobile data on my iPhone, and the result is the same each time.
Other messages in the console:

Lost All Developer Permissions After App Notarization, No Notice, No Support — Desperately Need Help
Hi Apple Developer Support Team and Community,
We are the developer of a VPN app with over 100,000 users.
Recently, after submitting a macOS app for notarization, we suddenly lost all developer privileges.
All our Developer Certificates were revoked without any notification.
However, our app is still live on the App Store and available for download and purchase.
The problem is: since all certificates were revoked, we are now completely unable to push any updates.
In the Developer Portal, it shows:
“Your Apple Account is already associated with the Account Holder of a membership.”
But clearly, in App Store Connect, I am listed as the Account Holder.
I have called Apple Developer Support multiple times.
Every advisor I spoke with told me: “You are not the Account Holder.”
Excuse me? If I am not the Account Holder, then who is??
I have also submitted nearly 1,000 support tickets via email — no reply at all.
This is devastating to our business, and no one is giving me any clear explanation of:
• What exactly happened?
• What did we do wrong?
• Why were all certificates revoked without any warning?
• Why are we trapped in this limbo where the system thinks we have a membership but we have no permissions?
Can someone — anyone — from Apple please seriously look into this case and tell me what is going on?
We are stuck, losing users’ trust, and completely helpless right now.
Please, this needs urgent escalation.
Thank you.
This is probably a long shot,
is it possible to develop an IOS app for my personal use only without having to go through the App Store and install it onto my personal ios device?
I’m not interested in selling an app yet, but I would like to create my own apps for my own use.
The only thing I dislike iOS for is that I can’t write programs for myself and use them on my device!
Cheers,
Peter

Hi,
I'm trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program for my current company. Everything seemed fine, but since yesterday, I keep encountering an 'Unknown Error' when I try to complete the enrollment.
I've checked my internet connection, updated my device, and tried multiple browsers, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this before or have suggestions on how to resolve it?

How do I get a response from anyone after completing this web-form? I have paid subscription, sent ID documents months ago, but still cannot get past this page
The Account Holder is no longer able to log into apple (regardless of web-based or device based attempts). The membership will expire soon without access to the account holder.
Both workflows "iforgot.apple.com" and "iforgot.apple.com/unlock" did not lead to an answer email within several days. I tried several times.
So we are almost out of store without any option. Hotline did not show other options.
Any ideas?
