Xcode Cloud does not find my tag
I have a repo with hundreds of tags (we make a tag for every build and for every version, and it has a browser extension project pulled in as a subtree where all those commits can and do have version tags of their own). I am trying to create a simple tag-triggered workflow to release my app to the external users and the app store, so I want to trigger it every time I update and push an e.g. latest tag. I created a workflow and setup the tag trigger accordingly, but, in the workflow config, it says it can't find the tag. I saved the workflow anyway, however, when I try to manually trigger the workflow and browse the Tags tab, I only see a subset of the repo's tags. I suspect Xcode Cloud might be limiting the number of tags it pulls and consequently shows when searching tags. I think this is a bug/shortcoming of Xcode Cloud. Is there any way to work around this?

PHAssetChangeRequest deleteAssets not working some time
Hello Team, I try to delete photo from Photos for that i used this method, [[PHPhotoLibrary sharedPhotoLibrary] performChanges:^{ [PHAssetChangeRequest deleteAssets:@[assetToDelete]]; completionHandler:^(BOOL success, NSError *error) { }]; This method pops up a dialog with Don't Allow or Delete. But some time in some iPhones not respond PHAssetChangeRequest deleteAssets method that's why that completionHandler not called because of that i can't perform any operation of PHPhotoLibrary then after. If I restart my iPhone then it works. Many users of my app complained about this issue. I have an iPhone 11 with iOS 15.3. But some iOS 12,14,16 users also face the same issue. So what exact issue is there? Is it related to iOS or a method? Thanks, Ankur

SwiftData error: NSKeyedUnarchiveFromData' should not be used to for un-archiving and will be removed in a future release
I am using SwiftData for my model. Until Xcode 15 beta 4 I did not have issues. Since beta 5 I am receiving the following red warning multiple times: 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromData' should not be used to for un-archiving and will be removed in a future release This seems to be a CoreData warning. However, I am not using CoreData directly. I have no way to change the config of CoreData as used by SwiftData. My model just uses UUID, Int, String, Double, some of them as optionals or Arrays. I only use one attribute (.unique).

Apple not responding about upgrading to Organization account
Hi all, I obtained a D-U-N-S number, confirmed that it's available for lookup, and submitted a request to upgrade to an Organization account 12 days ago. I then followed up 3 days ago. Still haven't received a response. Does anyone know if there's anything I need to do to get a response to these inquiries? Only reason I'm upgrading to Organization account is so that multiple developers can sign debug builds for physical iPhone devices so they can collaborate on my project.

Network framework crashes on fork
Hello, I have a Cocoa application from which I fork a new process (helper sort of) and it crashes on fork due to some cleanup code probably registered with pthreads_atfork() in Network framework. This is crash from the child process: Application Specific Information: *** multi-threaded process forked *** BUG IN CLIENT OF LIBPLATFORM: os_unfair_lock is corrupt Abort Cause 258 crashed on child side of fork pre-exec Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 libsystem_platform.dylib 0x194551238 _os_unfair_lock_corruption_abort + 88 1 libsystem_platform.dylib 0x19454c788 _os_unfair_lock_lock_slow + 332 2 Network 0x19b1b4af0 nw_path_shared_necp_fd + 124 3 Network 0x19b1b4698 -[NWConcrete_nw_path_evaluator dealloc] + 72 4 Network 0x19af9d970 __nw_dictionary_dispose_block_invoke + 32 5 libxpc.dylib 0x194260210 _xpc_dictionary_apply_apply + 68 6 libxpc.dylib 0x19425c9a0 _xpc_dictionary_apply_node_f + 156 7 libxpc.dylib 0x1942600e8 xpc_dictionary_apply + 136 8 Network 0x19acd5210 -[OS_nw_dictionary dealloc] + 112 9 Network 0x19b1beb08 nw_path_release_globals + 120 10 Network 0x19b3d4fa0 nw_settings_child_has_forked() + 312 11 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x100c8f7c8 _pthread_atfork_child_handlers + 76 12 libsystem_c.dylib 0x1943d9944 fork + 112 (...) I'm trying to create a child process with boost::process::child which does basically just a fork() followed by execv() and I do it before the - [NSApplication run] is called. Is it know bug or behavior which I've run into? Also what is a correct way to spawn child processes in Cocoa applications? As far as my understanding goes the basically all the available APIs (e.g. posix, NSTask) should be more or less the same thing calling the same syscalls. So forking the process early before main run loop starts and not starting another NSApplication in forked child should be ok ...or not?

Xcode 15 not finding iOS 17 devices
I have a brand new iPhone 15 with iOS 17, paired with a watch on WatchOS10. In devices and simulators, the iPhone 15 and Watch 10 device show up as disconnected (with the globe icon I think is what it is?) and if I click on either of them, that icon changes to a spinner, and the main window says "Xcode will continue when the operation completes", but it NEVER completes. This makes the device not usable for development. In addition, I have updated my iPad to iOS17, and it doesn't even show up at all in the devices and simulator list, even though it is enabled for developer mode. I have toggled developer mode off and on (thus rebooting). I have quit and restarted Xcode. I have even rebooted the Mac. Nothing helps. This is incredibly frustrating.

Unable to launch + Attach to Mac Widget (Sonoma + Xcode 15)
Attempting to launch a widget in Debug mode on Sonoma from Xcode 15 is failing with the following message: attach failed (Not allowed to attach to process. Look in the console messages (Console.app), near the debugserver entries, when the attach failed. Looking in console I see this message: macOSTaskPolicy: (com.apple.debugserver) may not get the task control port of (MacGalleryWidget) (pid: 1851): (MacGalleryWidget) is hardened, (MacGalleryWidget) doesn't have get-task-allow, (com.apple.debugserver) is a declared debugger(com.apple.debugserver) is not a declared read-only debugger What Xcode settings should I be looking at to rectify this? I suspect I may have something that's out of whack.

Sharing files from Finder to Simulator doesn't work
I'm trying to copy some files from the Finder on macOS 14 to several Simulator instances running iOS 16 and 17. When I right-click the file in the Finder, I can select Share > Simulator, then a share dialog pops up where I select the relevant Simulator and click on Send. According to this official help topic, the Files app should open allowing me to choose the destination, but instead nothing happens and the shared file is nothing to be seen. What's the issue?

how to inhibit -fprofile-instr-generate passed to linker
I'm struggling to build a driver for iPadOS in a particular project configuration. If I put the driver code and dext target into the same Xcode project which contains the iPad app, all is well. This is the way the Xcode driver template does it. However, I'd like to build and debug the dext on macOS, while eventually deploying on iPadOS. So I put the dext into a different project, which has a macOS target, a minimal iPadOS target and a DriverKit target. I made a workspace which contains both projects. I dragged the macOS project into the iPadOS project so that I can refer to the products of the macOS project (specifically, its driver target) as a dependency of the iPadOS target. Note that the main iPad app target depends on the driver target. So the workspace organization looks like this: Workspace iPad project main iPad app target (depends on driver) test project reference test project test macOS/iPad app target DriverKit dext target When I build the iPadOS target, it builds the dependent driver target in the macOS project, but it fails to link because Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/clang/15.0.0/lib/darwin/libclang_rt.profile_driverkit.a is not found. If I just build the driver target directly in Xcode, there is no such complaint. I looked closely at the build logs, and I see for the failed link, there are these two linker flags set which are not set in the successful case -debug_variant -fprofile-instr-generate I can't seem to control the generation of this flag. I tried turning off the Profile switch in the Scheme editor for the driver, but is makes no difference. When I directly build the driver target, no -fprofile-instr-generate is set and it compiles and links. When i build the driver as a dependency of another target, -fprofile-instr-generate is passed to the linker, which fails. The obvious workaround is to put the driver source code into a separate driver target in the iPadOS project, but I'd rather have just one DriverKit driver for both platforms, with a few settings (such as bundle ID) controlled by a configuration file. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and know of a workaround?

Xcode 15 performance tests ignore baseline
I'm trying to write performance tests with Xcode 15, but it's not working: even though setting a baseline seems to work (baseline data files are created), Xcode seems to ignore that baseline altogether whenever the test is run. As a result, performance tests never fail, no matter how bad performance gets. The source editor persistently displays a “No baseline average for Time” message. Has anyone else encountered this?
