Only first-party apps (Apple's apps) can use system-wide Dark Mode for icons at the moment. The app icon for a third-party app - like Microsoft365 - is unlikely to have been updated for the new version of iOS - and even if they have already updated their app's code, it certainly will not be released before iOS 18 is released.

Don't write apps for only one device. It will be rejected. And don't write apps that don't support all devices in that family (iPhones, iPads etc.). It wll be rejected. You have to write your apps so that anyone using any device can use it. Can you imagine buying an app for your iPhone 15, then in a year you get an iPhone 16 and it's not compatible? You, as a customer, would be extremely annoyed. Just work out your interface so it fits all devices. Xcode's preview functionality is pretty good.

You can ask the App Store Review team for an expedited review, but I really wouldn't post an update for a "crucial launch" and expect it to be reviewed and approved within a day - at the weekend. Plan better in future.

I have similar issues. I can't get widgets to work properly at all. I'm at the point I'm thinking of removing widgets from my app. Sorry I can't help you, but you're not alone.

Messenger app? What's that? The Facebook Messenger app? If so, it's likely that this app hasn't been updated for iOS 18 yet.

Is this on the iOS 18 beta, or is it something to do with an app that you're developing? It's a beta. There are a number of system processes and diagnostics processes running that aren't present in a released (non-beta) OS. I wouldn't install a beta on your primary device. If it's not good for you, uninstall it and go back to the latest version of iOS 17.
