Apple Pay Is Not Available in "
We are encountering an issue where Apple Pay shows an unexpected popup with a message and an "OK" button when confirming a payment (after double-tapping the power button). This issue began appearing last week without any changes to the codebase or configurations. Steps to Reproduce: Open the app and initiate an Apple Pay payment. Add a valid card if not already present. Confirm the payment using the side button (double-tap). Instead of completing the transaction, a popup appears with a generic message and an "OK" button. Expected Behavior: Apple Pay should process the payment and provide a confirmation or error based on the transaction status. Actual Behavior: A popup appears with a generic title and an “OK” button. The transaction is not processed. Environment Details: Platform: iOS Apple Pay integration has been functioning correctly for years No recent updates to Apple Pay-related code or configuration Configurations Checked: App Identifier is correctly set with the bundle ID Apple Pay Payment Processing is enabled in the App ID configuration Correct Merchant ID is selected and matches in Xcode capabilities *.entitlements file contains correct Apple Pay entitlement Payment Processing Certificates are valid and in place Additional Notes: The issue appeared suddenly without any modifications to the app. We suspect it may be due to external changes (e.g., Apple system update or merchant validation issue). Please advise on any further steps we can take to diagnose or resolve this issue.

CLLocationUpdates stops when user sleeps
I am using CLLocationUpdate.liveUpdates() to build a location sharing app. Most of the time it works fine, including in the background, giving acceptably frequent updates. However, soon after the user puts their phone away for the night, the updates stop coming. I've checked all the instance properties (.stationary, .locationUnavailable, etc.) but none of them are ever set to true, even for the last update before updates end. Is there some way to keep the updates coming through the night? I've included some relevant parts of my code here: func startLocationUpdates() { if self.manager.authorizationStatus == .notDetermined { self.manager.requestWhenInUseAuthorization() } Task { do { self.background = CLBackgroundActivitySession() self.session = CLServiceSession(authorization: CLServiceSession.AuthorizationRequirement.always) let updates = CLLocationUpdate.liveUpdates() for try await update in updates { if let loc = update.location { BackgroundServiceKt.onLocationUpdate(arg: loc) } // check all the instance properties } } catch { // error } return } } class AppDelegate: NSObject, UIApplicationDelegate { func application(_ application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [UIApplication.LaunchOptionsKey : Any]? = nil) -> Bool { LocationsHandler.shared.startLocationUpdates() return true } }

Way to suppress local network access prompt in sequoia for Unix Domain Socket from swift
Hello, We have a SwiftUI-based application that runs as a LaunchAgent and communicates with other internal components using Unix domain sockets (UDS). On Sequoia (macOS virtualized environment), when installing the app, we encounter the Local Network Privacy Alert, asking: "Allow [AppName] to find and connect to devices on the local network?" We are not using any actual network communication — only interprocess communication via UDS. Is there a way to prevent this system prompt, either through MDM configuration or by adjusting our socket-related implementation? Here's a brief look at our Swift/NIO usage: class ClientHandler: ChannelInboundHandler { ... public func channelRead(context: ChannelHandlerContext, data: NIOAny) { ... } ... } // init bootstrap. var bootstrap: ClientBootstrap { return ClientBootstrap(group: group) // Also tried to remove the .so_reuseaddr, the prompt was still there. .channelOption(ChannelOptions.socketOption(.so_reuseaddr), value: 1) .channelInitializer { channel in // Add ChannelInboundHandler reader. channel.pipeline.addHandler(ClientHandler()) } } // connect to the UDS. self.bootstrap.connect(unixDomainSocketPath: self.path).whenSuccess { (channel) in .. self.channel = channel } ... ... // Send some data. self.channel?.writeAndFlush(buffer).wait() Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

StoreKit Sandbox – Intermittent "Invalid Product Identifier" Errors
We are experiencing an issue with StoreKit in the sandbox environment. When performing an SKProductsRequest, some or all of the product identifiers we provide are returning in invalidProductIdentifiers of SKProductsResponse, even though all of them are valid and approved. This issue started occurring today and seems intermittent—occasionally, a previously failing product identifier works after one or two retries without any changes on our end. We have verified that: All product identifiers are correctly configured and approved in App Store Connect. There are no recent changes to our product configuration. The same identifiers have worked previously without issue. Could you please assist us in identifying the cause of this behavior or let us know if there is an ongoing issue affecting StoreKit sandbox services? Thank you for your support.

CoreHID: Enumerate all devices *once* (e.g. in a command-line tool)
I am aware the USB / HID devices can come and go, if you have a long running application that's what you want to monitor. But for a "one-shot" command-line tool for example, I would like to enumerate the devices present on a system at a certain point in time, interact with a subset of them (and this interaction can fail since the device may have been disconnected in-between enumerating and me creating the HIDDeviceClient), and then exit the application. It seems that HIDDeviceManager only allows monitoring an Async[Throwing]Stream which provides the initial devices matching the query but then continues to deliver updates, and I have no idea when this initial list is done. I could sleep for a while and then cancel the stream and see what was received up to then, but that seems like the wrong way to go about this, if I just want to know "which devices are connected", so I can maybe list them in a "usage" or help screen. Am I missing something?

public API which allows to get information about APFS
Hello, I am working on a daemon which collects information about disk space usage on macOS. APFS has quite complex structure and there is a challenge to get detailed info. My application must provide disk usage by APFS containers. Are there any recommended way to get space usage by particular APFS volume? Are there any recommended way to get free space on particular APFS container? Are there any recommended way to enumerate APFS containers and volumes? I am using Disk Arbitration to get APFS info. What xattrs does iCloud maintain?

StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. We want it to "just work" :) Sincerely, César Pinto Castillo Ambi Studio

Packet Tunnel Provider with Per App VPN debugging
We have a VPN app built using PacketTunnelProvider and support per-app VPN on iOS. We're currently investigating an issue specific to per-app VPN configurations that use split tunneling, where some URLs are routed through the VPN tunnel while others are intended to go directly. Tunneled traffic works as expected. However, for direct traffic, we observe intermittent failures where the browser does not receive an ACK, leading to repeated retransmissions and eventual page load failures. This issue appears only in per-app VPN scenarios, and we've reproduced it across multiple MDM solutions (Intune, CEM) and multiple managed browsers. It's intermittent but frequently reproducible with common public URLs routed directly. Key observations: writePackets returns true, confirming the VPN app writes packets to the TUN interface. Despite that, the browser often fails to acknowledge receipt (no ACK), suggesting it may not receive the packet at all. We suspect a possible packet loop, where packets written to TUN are immediately read back by the app. However, due to the intermittent nature of the issue, this is hard to confirm. A consistent loop would likely result in persistent failures, not sporadic ones. We are attaching: A Wireshark summary - highlighting the missing ACK and retransmission pattern. As we cannot attach the xlsx file or a zip file, we have took the screenshots of the files names as image1, image2, image3, image4 and image5 in sequence. Dails on the iOS device and MDM environment. NETunnelProviderProtocol configuration that reproduces the issue Any guidance on how to further debug this, particularly on confirming packet delivery to the browser and identifying potential loops would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. e t

ForEach and RandomAccessCollection
I'm trying to build a custom FetchRequest that I can use outside a View. I've built the following ObservableFetchRequest class based on this article: https://augmentedcode.io/2023/04/03/nsfetchedresultscontroller-wrapper-for-swiftui-view-models @Observable @MainActor class ObservableFetchRequest<Result: Storable>: NSObject, @preconcurrency NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate { private let controller: NSFetchedResultsController<Result.E> private var results: [Result] = [] init(context: NSManagedObjectContext = .default, predicate: NSPredicate? = Result.E.defaultPredicate(), sortDescriptors: [NSSortDescriptor] = Result.E.sortDescripors) { guard let request = Result.E.fetchRequest() as? NSFetchRequest<Result.E> else { fatalError("Failed to create fetch request for \(Result.self)") } request.predicate = predicate request.sortDescriptors = sortDescriptors controller = NSFetchedResultsController(fetchRequest: request, managedObjectContext: context, sectionNameKeyPath: nil, cacheName: nil) super.init() controller.delegate = self fetch() } private func fetch() { do { try controller.performFetch() refresh() } catch { fatalError("Failed to fetch results for \(Result.self)") } } private func refresh() { results = controller.fetchedObjects?.map { Result($0) } ?? [] } var predicate: NSPredicate? { get { controller.fetchRequest.predicate } set { controller.fetchRequest.predicate = newValue fetch() } } var sortDescriptors: [NSSortDescriptor] { get { controller.fetchRequest.sortDescriptors ?? [] } set { controller.fetchRequest.sortDescriptors = newValue.isEmpty ? nil : newValue fetch() } } internal func controllerDidChangeContent(_ controller: NSFetchedResultsController<any NSFetchRequestResult>) { refresh() } } Till this point, everything works fine. Then, I conformed my class to RandomAccessCollection, so I could use in a ForEach loop without having to access the results property. extension ObservableFetchRequest: @preconcurrency RandomAccessCollection, @preconcurrency MutableCollection { subscript(position: Index) -> Result { get { results[position] } set { results[position] = newValue } } public var endIndex: Index { results.endIndex } public var indices: Indices { results.indices } public var startIndex: Index { results.startIndex } public func distance(from start: Index, to end: Index) -> Int { results.distance(from: start, to: end) } public func index(_ i: Index, offsetBy distance: Int) -> Index { results.index(i, offsetBy: distance) } public func index(_ i: Index, offsetBy distance: Int, limitedBy limit: Index) -> Index? { results.index(i, offsetBy: distance, limitedBy: limit) } public func index(after i: Index) -> Index { results.index(after: i) } public func index(before i: Index) -> Index { results.index(before: i) } public typealias Element = Result public typealias Index = Int } The issue is, when I update the ObservableFetchRequest predicate while searching, it causes a Index out of range error in the Collection subscript because the ForEach loop (or a List loop) access a old version of the array when the item property is optional. List(request, selection: $selection) { item in VStack(alignment: .leading) { Text(item.content) if let information = item.information { // here's the issue, if I leave this out, everything works Text(information) .font(.callout) .foregroundStyle(.secondary) } } .tag(item.id) .contextMenu { if Item.self is Client.Type { Button("Editar") { openWindow(ClientView(client: item as! Client), id: item.id!) } } } } Is it some RandomAccessCollection issue or a SwiftUI bug?

Thank you. e t

Will RCS messages be filterable by a message filter extension?
A message filter extension is only forwarded SMSs by the OS for filtering, iMessages aren't. But what is the situation with RCS messages? Will they be filterable by a message filtering extension?

ForEach and RandomAccessCollection
I'm trying to build a custom FetchRequest that I can use outside a View. I've built the following ObservableFetchRequest class based on this article: https://augmentedcode.io/2023/04/03/nsfetchedresultscontroller-wrapper-for-swiftui-view-models @Observable @MainActor class ObservableFetchRequest<Result: Storable>: NSObject, @preconcurrency NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate { private let controller: NSFetchedResultsController<Result.E> private var results: [Result] = [] init(context: NSManagedObjectContext = .default, predicate: NSPredicate? = Result.E.defaultPredicate(), sortDescriptors: [NSSortDescriptor] = Result.E.sortDescripors) { guard let request = Result.E.fetchRequest() as? NSFetchRequest<Result.E> else { fatalError("Failed to create fetch request for \(Result.self)") } request.predicate = predicate request.sortDescriptors = sortDescriptors controller = NSFetchedResultsController(fetchRequest: request, managedObjectContext: context, sectionNameKeyPath: nil, cacheName: nil) super.init() controller.delegate = self fetch() } private func fetch() { do { try controller.performFetch() refresh() } catch { fatalError("Failed to fetch results for \(Result.self)") } } private func refresh() { results = controller.fetchedObjects?.map { Result($0) } ?? [] } var predicate: NSPredicate? { get { controller.fetchRequest.predicate } set { controller.fetchRequest.predicate = newValue fetch() } } var sortDescriptors: [NSSortDescriptor] { get { controller.fetchRequest.sortDescriptors ?? [] } set { controller.fetchRequest.sortDescriptors = newValue.isEmpty ? nil : newValue fetch() } } internal func controllerDidChangeContent(_ controller: NSFetchedResultsController<any NSFetchRequestResult>) { refresh() } } Till this point, everything works fine. Then, I conformed my class to RandomAccessCollection, so I could use in a ForEach loop without having to access the results property. extension ObservableFetchRequest: @preconcurrency RandomAccessCollection, @preconcurrency MutableCollection { subscript(position: Index) -> Result { get { results[position] } set { results[position] = newValue } } public var endIndex: Index { results.endIndex } public var indices: Indices { results.indices } public var startIndex: Index { results.startIndex } public func distance(from start: Index, to end: Index) -> Int { results.distance(from: start, to: end) } public func index(_ i: Index, offsetBy distance: Int) -> Index { results.index(i, offsetBy: distance) } public func index(_ i: Index, offsetBy distance: Int, limitedBy limit: Index) -> Index? { results.index(i, offsetBy: distance, limitedBy: limit) } public func index(after i: Index) -> Index { results.index(after: i) } public func index(before i: Index) -> Index { results.index(before: i) } public typealias Element = Result public typealias Index = Int } The issue is, when I update the ObservableFetchRequest predicate while searching, it causes a Index out of range error in the Collection subscript because the ForEach loop (or a List loop) access a old version of the array when the item property is optional. List(request, selection: $selection) { item in VStack(alignment: .leading) { Text(item.content) if let information = item.information { // here's the issue, if I leave this out, everything works Text(information) .font(.callout) .foregroundStyle(.secondary) } } .tag(item.id) .contextMenu { if Item.self is Client.Type { Button("Editar") { openWindow(ClientView(client: item as! Client), id: item.id!) } } } } Is it some RandomAccessCollection issue or a SwiftUI bug?

Xcode downloads client crash report with reason "index 0 beyond bounds for empty array" but the stacktraces don't contain any of my app's symbols
All the threads only contain system calls. The crashed thread only contains a single call to my app's code which is main.swift:13. What could cause such a crash? crash.crash

Network Relay errors out with "Privacy proxy failed with error 53"
I'm using NERelayManager to set Relay configuration which all works perfectly fine. I then do a curl with the included domain and while I see QUIC connection succeeds with relay server and H3 request goes to the server, the connection gets abruptly closed by the client with "Software caused connection abort".
